Isekai Life Starting from Moss – Chapter 24

The Cockatrice, pierced through the heart, collapsed with a thud.

As I stored its body in my Item Box, another monster immediately appeared. It seemed they were drawn by the sounds of our battle.

Let’s see, that one is…

Species: Drake
Name: None
Rank: B
Level: 48
HP: 234/234
MP: 198/198
Attack Power: 263
Defense Power: 221
Magic Attack Power: 189
Magic Defense Power: 207
Agility: 189

Skills:
Flight Lv7
Roar Lv8
Breath (Fire) Lv6

Ah, right, a Drake. I saw them in the Labyrinth of Beginnings, but this one seems to be a higher level. Its rank and stats are lower than the Cockatrice from before, but I should be careful of its breath attack. Even though this place is reasonably spacious, we’re surrounded by walls. A wide-range fire breath when cornered would be pretty dangerous.

In that case, a preemptive strike is the only way to go.

I unleashed multiple Water Magic 4th tier “Water Bullets” and followed them up. I can pinpoint the Drake’s location with my detection skill, but it doesn’t seem to have the same advantage.
I curved the leading Water Bullets at a corner, and the Drake noticed me, but it couldn’t possibly dodge all the multiple water masses flying like bullets that suddenly appeared. They hit its face, body, wings, and right leg in quick succession.
Furthermore, the Water Bullets pierced through the Drake’s body and collided with the wall of the Underground Labyrinth behind it, scattering.

I was going to follow up with another attack to finish it off, but… well, it was pointless.

Come to think of it, its magic defense was lower than the Golem I defeated with one blow earlier, so this was to be expected. Good thing no one was watching…

And so, while defeating the Monsters that appeared before me, I flew further down to the lower levels. My goal is an A-rank Monster, the same as a Dragon. I want to see how well I can do against an A-rank Monster. Of course, I’ll keep an eye on retreating so I don’t die.

If I can defeat an A-rank Monster here, it might be interesting to return to my homeland and try to fight that Red Dragon again. Thinking about that, I began searching for the stairs leading down.
