I was nervous. I guess it was the anxiety of somehow being a criminal by mistake.
The explanation continued for another hour.
“Okay. That’s mostly it. Finally, I’ll explain the adventurer ranks. Adventurers have ranks, which are identified by the color of the Adventurer Card you received earlier. By completing various jobs, you’ll be evaluated by the Guild, and you can rank up.”

“Yes! I know! I’ll do my best to climb!”
The receptionist smiled warmly and then said,
