“Brother Cardis…”
It was First Prince Cardis who appeared.
According to Monica’s investigation, after King Aival’s declaration, he hadn’t made any particularly noticeable moves and was focusing on his studies. I never imagined he would attend the party, so I was surprised when I saw his letter of intent to participate.
“W-Welcome. I hope you enjoy yourself today.”
I said something so insincere.
I have a feeling that the other students attending the party will feel awkward when they see Cardis.
“Yes, I intend to. This is the first party for me without any strings attached.”
“I-Is that so…”
To be honest, I don’t know how to respond when you say something like that.
But it’s true that Cardis has been busy interacting with other nobles to expand his faction for the Succession Dispute.
Come to think of it, even when we were kids, he was always forced to act like the First Prince to meet Margaret’s expectations, and I don’t think I’ve ever seen Cardis act like a child, rejoicing or having fun. Wow, that’s so sad.
“Brother… please, enjoy yourself to the fullest.”
“A-Ah…”
When I told him that with all my heart, almost tearing up, Cardis was slightly taken aback. I don’t understand.
But I never thought that Cardis, Raphael, and Owen, the three princes vying for the throne, would all be at the same party.
In the first place, I only held this party for the selfish reason of creating contact between Liliana and the capture characters of ‘Galhaza’.
“This is getting interesting.”
“Whoa!?”
I was suddenly spoken to from right behind me, and I couldn’t help but let out a surprised shout.
I always say this, but approaching without a sound is bad for my heart, so please stop.
“M-Monica, how’s the venue?”
“Yes. Many students are already enjoying their conversations. Would you like to give a greeting inside soon?”
“Hmm, just a little longer.”
I declined Monica’s offer and turned my eyes towards the dormitory.
In a way, today’s party is for Liliana, and it can’t start without her, the main character.
Besides, Christia and Carla haven’t arrived yet either… speak of the devil.
“Hehe, sorry we’re late.”
“We will enjoy ourselves today.”
Oh, Christia is participating in her ceremonial Priestess robes. It’s been a while since she came as part of the Delegation two and a half years ago, so it’s a bit nostalgic.
On the other hand, Carla’s silver tuxedo is an unexpected choice. I thought she would be in her Holy Knight’s uniform or a dress. But she’s tall, so it suits her really well, and she looks so cool.
“Please, enjoy yourselves to the fullest. Right, Lize?”
“Hehe, that’s right. Well, see you later.”
Lize went into the lecture hall with Christia and Carla at last.
“Now… all that’s left is Liliana and Lloyd.”
“Liliana-san aside, I think Lloyd-sama will be ready soon…”
“I guess so…”
I thought Lloyd would arrive at the venue early and be checking out the female students.
After all, Lloyd is a handsome but unfortunate guy. And also a wimp.
But Lloyd is one of my few male friends at this Royal Academy, and I don’t dislike his personality.
I hope he can be happy too.
“Prince Harold, they seem to have arrived.”
“Eh? Really?”
Monica says so, but I can’t see them at all.
It seems there’s a huge difference in eyesight between her and me.
After a while.
“Ugh! Why are you taking so long to get ready!”
“It can’t be helped! It’s not like I get to wear a dress very often!”
I could see the two of them running while arguing with my own eyes.
But is this an escort…? It’s a little different from what I know.
“H-Hey, you’re late.”
“Haa… Haa… H-Hey Hal! Listen to this! I went all the way to pick her up because she said she’d be nervous alone, but I was kept waiting, and then she complained! I can’t take it anymore!”
“I-It can’t be helped! It’s my first time at a party! And you should at least escort me properly!”
“Stop, stop!”
I cut in between the two who were starting to argue and tried to calm them down.
Were these two always this unfriendly…?
“H-Hey, hey, the party’s about to start, so hurry inside!”
“O-Okay! Finally, I’m free…”
“Meat! Meat!”
Lloyd, relieved, sighed, and Liliana chanted ‘Meat’.
They don’t look like a couple attending a party together at all.
Are those two really the protagonist and the capture character…?
“Hehe. Then, let’s go too.”
“Yeah, let’s go.”
I took Sandra’s hand and followed those two into the lecture hall where everyone was waiting.
