Rogue Prince – Chapter 310

Only 5 days left until the release of Volume 2 of “The Incompetent Rascal Prince Wants to Survive”!

Please check out the afterword as well!!!
“U-until then! This match is a draw!”

Since my first match, I’ve been spending every day fighting in the Colosseum.
I’ve already fought over twenty matches, so it’s almost been a month since I came here.

However.

“Damn it! I thought I’d finally get him today!”
“Heh, too bad. I made some good money.”

That’s right… now, whether I take a hit from my opponent or not has become a betting subject, and surprisingly, it’s become one of the Colosseum’s main attractions.
The Colosseum’s management seems to have decided that it’s more exciting that way, so the match format now has a time limit of one hour, and my treatment has improved a little. Thanks to that, I can feed Caz properly, which is the most important thing.

“Hal! Good job!”
“Haha, thanks.”

Back in the cell, Caz and I bump fists and forelegs.
I’m getting used to this life, but that doesn’t mean I can stay in this situation.

“I’m sure Sandra and the others are searching for me…”

In this month, I’ve gathered as much information as possible.
First, I learned that the Colosseum is located in the Romania Empire, next to the Barthian Holy Kingdom.

In addition, I also learned that the woman who took us here is a silver-haired beauty with blood-red eyes, and that she has two beauty marks under her left eye as a characteristic.

“If only I had a way to convey this information to Sandra and the others…”

I thought about escaping and fleeing to the Holy Kingdom, but my SP is sealed and it’s quite a distance from here. It’s not realistic after all.
But since I don’t have any means of communication, I can’t just sit here and do nothing…

By the way, here’s how I got this information.

“Yo, you didn’t take a single hit today either.”

The hyahha-like man who brings us food every day… Obrul told me.
At first, I thought he would have a violent personality just because of his hyahha-like appearance, but surprisingly, he took good care of the gladiators. He even listens to my complaints sometimes.

So, I took advantage of Obrul and cried and threatened him to get as much information as possible.

“Still, I thought you’d be done for on the first day, but your defense is top-notch.”
“Haha… about defense, huh.”

I’ve been doing special training with Sandra to the point of death. There’s no way I’d be taken down by a mere mob enemy.

“But well, that’s only for another ten days.”
“Another ten days, you say…?”
“You’ll see from now on.”
“Whoa!?”

Obrul forcibly grabbed my arm, and even though I had just returned to the cell, I was taken to the Colosseum stage again… no, for some reason, to the audience seats.

“Look at that.”
“That…?”

When I looked at where Obrul was pointing with his chin, I saw two gladiators facing each other, waiting for the signal to start the match.
One is a burly male gladiator, which is a common pattern I’ve seen in the past month, and the other is a dual-wielding female gladiator with tanned skin clad in light armor…!?

“That is…”
“Ho, you can tell how strong that woman is, just from your defense. That’s right, that’s the strongest gladiator in the Colosseum, Despina Nomades. She’s your opponent in ten days.”

Ah… this is the worst.
I thought I had avoided the death flag by defeating Wilfred and Themis, but there are still heroines, event bosses, and raid bosses left in EnHaza.

And, to make matters worse, I have to fight the event boss placed in the Colosseum without the Jet-Black Shield Caspary.

That’s right… in the Colosseum of EnHaza, player-versus-player battles are the main focus, but there is actually an intrusion event prepared. That is the duel event with the gladiator Despina.

If you win twenty consecutive matches in the Colosseum, an intrusion event will be forcibly triggered, and a one-on-one battle between the protagonist and Despina will take place. Of course, the party members, the heroines, cannot participate in the battle.

Despina’s basic abilities are among the best of the event bosses, and she uses her speed to launch three attacks in one turn.
Unless the protagonist’s level is raised to at least 80, it’s impossible to fight her, and most players are defeated by Despina.

Moreover, to make matters worse, players who are defeated by Despina will have their ranking in the Colosseum lowered by two ranks, and they need to repeat the ranking battles steadily to restore their original rank.
As you gentlemen and ladies may know, the number of ranking battles that can be done in a day is five. To do more than that, you have to recover the number of battles with items or by paying. It’s a specification that makes you cry.

In other words, what I want to say is.

“…I don’t think I can beat her in my current state.”
