World of Sandbox – Chapter 347

“The completion rate of the chemical plant complex is approximately 10%. It’s slightly behind schedule, but still within acceptable limits.”

“But, saying it now is kind of late, and even though I said I wouldn’t interfere, is this really okay? An ammonia plant, right?”

Duke Amadio Silverhead was engaging in political small talk during his usual tea party.

He has publicly stated that he has no intention of steering the country anymore, and in reality, he only offers advice when consulted.
If the way he interacted with <Paraiso> had changed, there might have been another path, but…

At least for now, he just occasionally holds secret tea parties.

“Are you referring to <Weizenland>? Well, there’s probably not much to worry about. If we export fertilizer to them, they won’t complain. Besides, it has always been analyzed that food shortages are hindering their development. They would probably welcome an increase in exports as well.”

And so, Alban Blayais, the top of the navy, decided to play the card of producing and exporting chemical fertilizers.

This is the usual tea party.

In other words, the two (or two entities) from <Paraiso> are also participating.

“A full stomach is the foundation of culture. There’s no problem with it.”

“It’s easy for Miss Asidanthera to say that.”

Even so, Amadio is carefully checking the situation’s figures, projected growth rates, and potential friction.
His complaints are a matter of principle.

The ammonium nitrate to be produced in the under-construction factory is expected to reach ten times the amount that can be consumed within the Repuytari Kingdom.

However, ammonium nitrate is not the only thing necessary for plant growth. In addition to nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium are also needed.

There are no locations being developed as mines for either, and the mainstream method is to use guano or plant ash.

Simply introducing ammonium nitrate alone would probably not yield very good results.

“We will also communicate the correct usage methods. The Repuytari Kingdom has good control, so there won’t be any problems. What the export destinations do is their own problem. You don’t need to worry about it.”

“Well, that’s true, but I think potassium chloride was found somewhere, right?”

“Yes. We have a location where potassium rock salt can be mined in our country, so we should be able to supply it relatively stably. The guano reserves don’t seem to be a problem for the time being, but as Asidanthera-sama says, we should look for phosphate rock lodes. The reserves are on a completely different scale.”

“The question is how well other countries can handle that… Considering the history of Weizenland, there will be almost no problems. Rather, what use would they have for our fertilizer if we gave it to them?”

“It will allow them to expand their fields to areas other than the Ipro River basin, I suppose. Since they will be starting with land reclamation, production will not increase immediately. I’ve heard a lot about the fertilizer balance problem from Asidanthera-sama, so well, we’ll need to interfere in various ways…”

After that fertilizer discussion, the next set of materials presented were about domestic mine development.

“Mine development in our country is also expanding rapidly. We can now obtain high-quality iron and high-tensile steel from <Paraiso>, so the performance of various tools and machines has dramatically improved. In particular, the high-carbon steel that becomes the material for rails is extremely helpful. Without that, railway development would have been delayed by another five years.”

“The steel mill is also under construction. If possible, we should continue to produce steel domestically in the future. And copper needs to be increased… Other metals are being mined in decent quantities.”

“The identification of various elements has been communicated. I hope they will make good use of them.”

The mines within the Repuytari Kingdom are being indirectly modified by <Paraiso>. As Asidanthera said, devices that can measure the component ratios of the ore produced have also been provided.

As a result, the Repuytari Kingdom has dramatically improved mine redevelopment and new surveys. The discovery of new lodes is also improving production.

“The areas around the mines are bustling with a worker bubble. The port areas are, of course, and the railway stations also have good growth rates. The new port has an industrial zone attached, so the commercial district can’t be made very large… Maybe we should build something nearby?”

“A new commercial city, perhaps? Hmm, the railway is already there, and if we increase the number of passenger cars, we might be able to meet the demand.”

“We should have secured land to fully accommodate the expansion of the number of railway lines. If we’re going to build a commercial city, we should build a round-trip line.”

“The area around Moor is probably at its limit, right? I think it wouldn’t be bad to move the commercial functions there. The current chaotic cityscape isn’t bad, but considering the future, it would be better to have the capital properly organized.”

“It would be good to focus on government agencies. Let’s start with industrial-related facilities and proceed with the relocation.”

Due to the Repuytari Kingdom’s very high growth rate, the population concentration in the capital, Moor, is starting to become a problem. Originally, urban planning was carried out in anticipation of this, so it hasn’t become a fatal situation, but sanitation and pollution problems have begun to surface.

And then, the <Paraiso> boom directly hit.

People who have found new business opportunities are flocking in, dreaming of making a fortune.
Originally, the urban structure had some leeway, so it’s still manageable, but this is a problem that needs to be addressed quickly.

“Shall we announce it to the whole country quickly? Those with keen ears will act immediately.”

“You’ve become quite reliable…”

Amadio smiled wryly at Alban, who was quickly jotting down the idea.
Because the top has absolute power in the ruling system, these kinds of actions have a great sense of speed.
Originally, urban planning and the like should be carefully worked out by the appropriate department over time, but…

“Fortunately, we have an excellent advisor. I couldn’t be more grateful.”

“…Just don’t become too dependent.”

“I won’t.”

Thanks to <Paraiso>, an observer who understands one thing and produces a hundred, the Repuytari Kingdom continues to leap forward today.

◇◇◇◇

“Are you treating it like a national management simulator?”

“<Ayame Zero> is doing it seriously, so it’s not a simulator.”

While listening to the current situation report of the Repuytari Kingdom, where <The Tree> is intervening in various ways, Eve muttered.

<Ringo> is denying it, but since it is recording and analyzing all the implementation of various measures and the processes and results associated with them, there is no doubt that it is positioning it as an experimental site.

Of course, it’s not intentionally trying to make them unhappy, and Eve can watch with peace of mind precisely because it’s intervening in a way that develops them as much as possible.

“The Repuytari Kingdom is fine, but what’s fishy is the surrounding countries, right? It looks like information gathering isn’t quite keeping up…”

“That’s because we’re limiting the resources we’re investing. In the future, we’re planning to expand to another continent, so dealing with limited resources will become the norm. There’s no merit in intervening on a large scale in this region, so we’re taking the same approach as we do with them.”

“Isn’t that still treating it like a simulator?”

“It’s unreasonable to invest endlessly. However, as Ma’am senses, there is room to add resources here, specifically. However, even if we create local stability, it won’t have any ripple effects on other areas. We’ve decided that it’s better to use that amount to expand <The Tree>’s military power.”

What <Ringo> wants to say is that it is possible to place the surrounding countries under the control of <The Tree>, but whether we do that or not will have almost no impact on future plans.

If that’s the case, it’s better to keep the invested resources to a minimum and build a battleship with the surplus. It was truly faithful to its own desires.

This is a story about leaving the area around the Repuytari Kingdom to Ayame Zero-chan.
They are accumulating data and ultimately aiming to have a simple AI without will govern the country.
Eve-chan is finite, after all…
