Episode 208: The White Dungeon’s Lowest Level
Two Dominion were flying near the ceiling.
Each held a Dagger of Light in their right hand, gliding in to attack from both sides.
Yuma, without panicking, raised his hammer and channeled Fire Magical Power into it. The instant the Dominion’s attack was about to hit, Yuma’s figure vanished.
The angels looked around in confusion, and even Rui and Akito lost sight of Yuma.
“Where is he? Where’d he go!?”
Akito happened to look up and saw Yuma in the sky, raising his hammer.
He got behind the Dominion and slammed the hammer down before they could notice. The hammer, embedded in its back, exploded like raging fire.
The angel turned to ash in one blow. Yuma burst through the spreading smoke and landed on the ground.
The remaining Dominion let out an ultrasonic shriek, creating several large, shining swords in the air.
All the blades pointed at Yuma and flew towards him at high speed.
Using his hammer, he knocked down all the incoming greatswords. The Dominion, wary of Yuma, didn’t try to descend from the sky.
Seeing this, Yuma released the Liquid Metal covering his hammer.
The metallic gray liquid detached with a whoosh, and the Pickel returned to its original form.
He quickly rotated the head, pointed the spike upwards, and extended the handle. When he poured Liquid Metal into it again, it became a long “spear.”
Yuma held the spear as if to throw it, pointing the tip at the angel.
When he imbued it with Fire Magical Power, the tip and the entire spear glowed red. Yuma put all his strength into it and hurled the spear.
“Go, go, gooooooo!!”
The Flame Spear, scattering Ember as it flew, struck the Dominion directly.
It pierced deeply into its chest, stopping its movement. A Liquid Metal chain connected from the spear’s butt to Yuma’s right hand.
Yuma channeled Fire Magical Power into the chain.
“Burst.”
The angel’s body swelled up, glowed bright red, and exploded violently.
Only scattering Ember and gray smoke remained. Watching the spreading smoke, Akito frowned.
“That wasn’t even his full power… that’s insane.”
Yuma pulled the chain, returning the spear to his hand. He released the Fire Magical Power flowing through his body and walked towards Rui and Akito.
“Yuma, good job. You’re pretty used to Fire Magic now, aren’t you?”
Rui, who was with Akito, asked, but Yuma shook his head.
“No, I’m just channeling Magical Power into my body and the hammer… I can’t really control it.”
“I see.”
“Well, it’s fine, isn’t it? It’s enough since the enemies are dying left and right.”
Akito said casually as usual. It seemed like an expected fighting style for the two of them, but the other Seeker were different.
They stayed near the entrance of the floor, staring blankly at Yuma.
“Hey, are you alright? Are you hurt?”
Rachmad came over, worried. When Yuma replied, “I’m fine,” he stood there in disbelief.
“Is something wrong?”
When Yuma asked, Rachmad replied with a vacant, “Ah, ah.”
“No, I’d just never heard of anyone defeating a Dominion single-handedly. It surprised me a bit.”
Rachmad laughed wryly. Yuma thought, “I see,” but didn’t think much of it.
“Let’s clear the Dungeon today, Rachmad-san. I’ll do my best with all my power.”
“Ah, ah, right.”
The group delved deeper into the Dungeon, encountering various Monsters.
On the thirtieth floor, a white bull with magnificent horns charged at them. It was about the size of a two-ton truck, and the ground shook, but Yuma went straight towards it.
He swung his hammer horizontally, hitting the bull’s temple.
A huge explosion erupted, and the Monster’s body was blown away. The remaining half of its body, having lost its upper half, crumbled and returned to sand.
Rui and Akito were not losing either.
Whether it was lower or mid-level angels, they were all defeated by Flame Slashes and black Lightning spear strikes.
The Monsters of the White Dungeon, with Regeneration abilities rivaling those of Abyssal Monsters, were no match for them.
Rachmad and the Indonesian Seeker tried to fight, but they had no chance to participate and could only watch the three fight.
And about sixteen hours after entering the Dungeon, they finally stepped in.
“This is the lowest level…”
There was no passage on that floor, and immediately upon entering, there was a dome-shaped room.
Like before, it was a building made of concrete. There wasn’t a single stain on the walls or ceiling, and the floor was unnaturally clean.
A wide, empty space. Everyone looked around.
“That’s strange. There should be a Monster of the lowest level here…”
Rui agreed with Yuma’s words.
“There doesn’t seem to be an exit to a lower floor, so this is definitely the lowest level. We shouldn’t let our guard down.”
“Well, whatever comes out, I’ll defeat it in one shot.”
Akito said casually as usual, with Gae Bolg on his shoulder.
None of the Indonesian Seeker had ever been to the lowest level, and they were confused by the absence of Monsters, causing a stir.
“There must be something here.”
Yuma didn’t let his guard down and watched his surroundings.
After a while, he felt a strange pressure from near the ceiling. Looking up, he saw small particles of light dancing there.
“That’s…”
It was a scene he had seen on the upper floors. It was similar to when the Dominion appeared, but the amount of light gathering was far greater.
The light gathered into one, eventually forming a huge shape. Rachmad, squinting at the dazzling light, raised his voice.
“That is… could it be–“
When Yuma asked, “Do you know what it is!?”, Rachmad opened his mouth with a tense expression.
“I’ve only seen it in overseas reports, but that Monster is…”
The glow gradually subsided, and its entire form became visible. It was a huge Ring. It looked like a tire made of light, and countless “eyes” were lined up on its surface.
It was looking at them while spinning around.
“No doubt! It’s the Throne, a high-ranking angel!!”
Yuma widened his eyes in surprise. That’s an angel? Its appearance didn’t look like an angel at all.
The tire shook and fell at a terrifying speed. The Indonesian Seeker were there.
They were crushed without time to escape, and more than ten people were killed in an instant.
“This is bad! They’re no match for it with their skills!”
Akito fired a black Lightning Strike, but the Throne immediately flew up and escaped to the ceiling.
Yuma changed his hammer into the shape of a spear and held it as if to throw it. It was the attack that defeated the flying Dominion.
The hurled Flame Spear headed straight for the Throne.
The moment he thought it had hit, it collided with something invisible and was repelled. Yuma pulled the chain connected to the spear, returning the weapon to his hand.
He glared at the sky and looked up at the angel.
“It won’t be easy, huh?”
