Day 8: Message
Logged in for the 8th day.
Sales on the World Market are going well. What’s more, today I actually received a message from a buyer.
Player buyers have a feature where they can leave one message for the shop per purchase. Unlike reviews, only the shopkeeper can see these, and the shopkeeper can also reply once.
Of course, the vast majority of buyers purchase without saying anything, so getting my first notification was a little startling.
I can also see the names of player buyers, and the person who sent the message this time, “Memeko-san,” has bought clothes from me twice in the past.
I hope it’s not a complaint… I thought, my heart pounding as I opened it. The message read:
‘Your original design one-piece is simple but cute, and I love it! This might be a bit presumptuous, but are you perhaps setting your prices based on the Guild Buyout price? It might be meddlesome of me to say, but you should reconsider. It’s safe to assume Guild Buyout is the minimum price in the game. OriDeza items take effort and time, so you can safely price them at least 1.5 times the Guild Buyout. Of course, if the item is good, you can go even higher. If you want to continue playing the game for a long time, it’s best to set appropriate prices now while you have fewer customers. It’s troublesome if you get involved with resellers or complainers. There are only a limited number of crafters who make OriDeza I like, so I’d really appreciate it if you could continue for a long time. Please consider it.’
…Far from a complaint, she seemed like an incredibly nice person.
Hmm, so that’s how it is. I guess that’s the market rate in this game.
As expected, when you’re dealing with actual people—though “actual” might be a strange way to put it—even in a game, things can get pretty complicated.
It’s not just a matter of “as long as it sells, it’s fine,” huh…
To verify if Memeko-san’s theory was true, I decided to browse various other players’ clothing shops on the World Market. It was true; even for unremarkable cotton-type Items, most everyone had higher price settings than me.
However, I couldn’t find anyone selling Items that were original designs with no added value, so I couldn’t make a comparison.
Perhaps they exist, but if there isn’t an OriDeza tag or label, I can’t tell which ones are existing designs and which ones aren’t.
For now, I decided to trust Memeko-san’s message completely and set the prices for OriDeza items at 1.5 times the Guild Buyout, and 1.2 times for other items.
I need to send her a thank-you reply too.
Also, today I plan to make a fur tippet—a detachable collar—using the [Full Moon Rabbit Fur] I bought from Magdala-san. I’m going to make it a really feminine type, one that ties with a ribbon in the front.
However, just as I started working, the bell rang. A customer.
When I went out to the shop, the dog-eared boy, Mikoto-kun, was toddling around the store, browsing.
When he noticed me, he approached with a carefree grin. Cute.
“Hello, Vivia. Ah, sorry. I don’t have any money on me today… But I just kind of wanted to see your face, so I came over. Ehehe.”
This doggie sure closed the distance fast. He has such a laid-back expression, but is he surprisingly a bit of a flirt?
Well, I don’t mind, so I sent a smiling Emote Stamp.
Just then, a loud rumble rumble echoed.
Mikoto-kun blushed and put a hand on his stomach. He seemed to be hungry.
The choices ‘Offer something to eat?’ and ‘Say nothing’ appeared.
I tried selecting the former, but the only food-like Item I have is [Wise Nuts]. It seems I can give him anything from my Item Box, but if I gave him something like [Trash], his affinity would definitely drop.
So, I opted for the unremarkable choice and gave him the Wise Nuts.
“Wow, are you giving this to me? Thank you! I’ll cherish it when I eat it.”
“Well, I’ll come again,” Mikoto-kun said before leaving.

Thank you for the fun time.
[Alice]
Good work~~!
Thanks for hosting, Inkya-chan (´∀`)b
Getting all that soda really helps~~
[Memeko]
G’work~
Wee-san, thank you for the cute Mokoguma-chan!
Its expression is even better than I expected~~ I can’t get enough of these reproaching eyes~~
I’ll adore it every day!!
[Wee]
Good work, Currently_Introverted-sama, thank you as always.
Memeko-sama, I’m glad I could make something to your liking.
Was it really okay for me to receive so much Cloud Wool?
It helps a lot.
[Memeko]
I don’t use it, so please don’t worry about it ^^
Please add it to your fluffy zoo.
[Poire]
Work’s over~
Wanted to go to the flea market (crying)
Secretly hoping for a late-night session.
[Currently_Introverted]
Poire, good work.
Maybe quite a few people want a late-night session?
But if we do, I can’t make it, so you host, please.
[Una]
Late-night session, please! (crying)
I saw on Twitter, Currently_Introverted-san, your outfit is super cute.
A beautiful phantom thief.
[Currently_Introverted]
Gokuraku Ishou-san made the full-body suit for me lol
The cape is cool, right?
[Chizuru]
Good work, everyone.
I’m jealous of your costume, Currently_Introverted-san.
I’m also aiming for a custom order from Gokuraku-san, but I can’t win the slot competition.
[Alice]
I really respect people who can do OriDeza~
I can’t draw, so it’s impossible for me (´∩`。)
[Wee]
You don’t need drawing skills, you know.
If you just think of it as patching parts together.
[Currently_Introverted]
If you get down to it, from our perspective, that’s also a kind of drawing skill.
I mean, drawing is just patching lines together, right?
And CG is just a collection of dots, right?
[Wee]
I see lol
Now that you mention it, maybe so.
[Katarina]
Good work, everyone.
Thank you to everyone who bought material sets.
I’ve saved up a good sum of money, so my dream of moving seems within reach.
Everyone’s avatars were so stylish, it was fun just watching~
Memeko-san’s checkered one-piece is cute.
It’s an OriDeza, right? The simple design that seems like it would exist but doesn’t is lovely.
[Memeko]
Wow, you noticed that was an OriDeza? lol
It’s just an ordinary cotton one-piece, so I can only wear it for fashion, but I like how the stitching and other fine details are elaborate.
[Poire]
An OriDeza made only of cotton has a strong beginner vibe lol
Memeko-san, you’re good at digging those up.
[Memeko]
It’s my hobby to browse new players’ shops~
Sometimes I find hidden gems, and it’s fun to check out promising crafters I like who seem like they’ll become successful.
Occasionally, you find beginners who are skilled at OriDeza but lack game knowledge, so I sometimes meddle a bit with people like that lol.
[Katarina]
What volunteer spirit!
[Currently_Introverted]
Memeko-shi, I sense a similar vibe to Eifie from you.
[Una]
Eifie, huh… lol
That person is beyond a good person, they’re an eccentric lol
[Chizuru]
Eifie-san is the one who often sets up rooms to answer beginners’ questions, right?
Those kinds of rooms tend to get trolled, yet I’m surprised it’s as well-moderated as an official room.
[Currently_Introverted]
Well, apparently they deal with trolls at an insane speed.
