Character Introductions
- Serios von Aegrid
Age: 16
Position: Margrave, Reincarnated Person, Main Protagonist of this story
Personality: While desperately resisting being condemned as a villainous noble, he develops a sense of atonement for his past Sins and becomes a hard worker dedicated to reforming his territory and improving the lives of its residents. Oblivious. He is kind but lacks self-confidence.
Characteristics: A reincarnated person who knows this world is an otome game. Having lost his parents in his previous life, he can understand Serios’s lonely feelings.
Serios, despite being former royalty, was subjected to Disinheritance due to past mistakes and adopted into the Margrave’s House. Later, his adoptive parents, the Margrave and his wife, died in an accident. He has experienced a lonely upbringing and further setbacks that made him even more isolated.
Relationships: He has his first experience feeling attracted to the opposite sex with Maria. Even if Liese finds Happiness with a capture target, he is determined to support Maria for her entire life.
He thought of Liese as the main heroine of the otome game and believed they could never be together. Because of this, he couldn’t notice her affection and was unaware of his own hidden feelings for Liese. Being oblivious and clumsy, he cannot convey his feelings well.
- Liese
Age: 16
Position: Serios’s attendant, Commoner
Personality: Serious and a hard worker. She holds her Mother Maria’s teachings close to her heart and possesses a strong will to face any hardship.
Characteristics: When she was young, she and her Mother were saved by Serios, and she became his attendant to repay that kindness. She holds deep gratitude and romantic feelings for Serios, who helped her find her own worth. When he said, “I will buy everything about you with gold,” in a world where no one else would help, she resolved to dedicate everything to the person who saved her.
Relationships: She trusts and loves Serios from the bottom of her heart. She spares no effort daily, wanting to be his support.
- Faina
Age: 16
Position: Serios’s Personal Maid, Sub-heroine
Personality: Taciturn and reserved, devoted, and possesses masochistic tendencies.
Characteristics: Serios’s Personal Maid who has supported him since childhood. She has experienced being mistreated but was happy that he directed his feelings only towards her. While supporting Serios’s affection for Liese, she also feels Happiness in being able to convey her own admiration for him. She is a presence that supports the two from the shadows.
Relationships: She holds admiration and affection for Serios. She understands his feelings and, knowing her place, dedicates herself to being a reserved presence.
- Maria
Age: ???
Position: Maid working at Serios’s mansion, Liese’s Mother, Serios’s first.
Personality: Gentle, full of maternal love and affection, she gives a sense of security to those around her.
Characteristics: She was suffering from a serious illness when Serios saved her. With gratitude towards him in her heart, she works at the mansion with her Daughter. She intended to become a Mother figure for Serios, but he accepts her as a woman.
Relationships: She wants to support Serios through Liese.
- Kanon
Age: 21
Position: Female Knights Commander of Aegrid Territory
Personality: Brave and sincere. She is good at looking after others and is highly trusted by her subordinates.
Characteristics: An important figure who supports Serios’s reforms. She believes in his character and, while holding loyalty towards him, sometimes acts like an older sister.
Relationships: She feels indebted to Serios for promoting her from a mercenary to a Knight. As a comrade-in-arms who fought alongside him, she feels a sense of familiarity.
- Claris von Everett
Age: 16
Position: Daughter of a Dukedom, Edward’s Fiancée, Serios’s childhood friend.
Personality: Calm, composed, quick-witted, and intelligent. Her tone and attitude can be a bit harsh, but she actually has a gentle side.
Characteristics: Appears as the villainess when capturing Edward. She has been Serios’s childhood friend since their early years, and they have a relationship like bad companions. She is one of the few people who understand his past and suffering. She is Edward’s Fiancée but has complicated feelings about their engagement.
Relationships: A trustworthy friend to Serios, sometimes teasing him while helping him out.
- Edward von Leclair
Age: 16
Position: Prince, Crown Prince with the right to succeed the throne.
Personality: Noble and has a strong sense of justice, but also has a proud and immature side. Because he tends to jump to conclusions, he becomes too focused on Liese and loses sight of his surroundings. Jealous.
Characteristics: Liese’s primary capture target. He has a complex about his lack of self-confidence. He sometimes overdoes things in an attempt to appear competent to others. He harbors special feelings for Liese and is fiercely competitive with Serios.
Relationships: Hostile relationship with Serios. They are half-brothers.
- Raoul Diego Alberto
Age: 16
Position: Chancellor’s son
Personality: Appears calm, composed, and intelligent, but is actually short-tempered, a bundle of pride, and sometimes acts a bit arrogant because he thinks he is the smartest.
Characteristics: One of Liese’s capture targets. As a member of the Chancellor’s House, he studies the kingdom’s politics and is on the path to becoming the next Chancellor. He is Edward’s friend and prides himself on being his aide.
Relationships: Views Serios with hostility while harboring special affection for Liese.
- Gald Reinhardt
Age: 16
Position: Son of the Marshal of Military Affairs
Personality: A battle maniac, hot-blooded and impulsive. He hates to lose and is the type to give his all in everything.
Characteristics: Liese’s capture target. He has an inferiority complex towards his older brothers. He has high combat ability but lacks confidence. Like his father and older brothers who work in the kingdom’s army, he is expected to have a bright future but worried because he is not very smart. He has a simple but loyal personality and deeply admires his childhood friend, Edward.
Relationships: Harbors strong hostility towards Serios. Loves Liese.
- Astasha Duran
Age: 16
Position: Raoul’s Fiancée, Daughter of a Count
Personality: A strong-willed woman with a firm core. A woman who fights, directly confronting Liese with her irritation.
Characteristics: Appears as the villainess when capturing Raoul in the otome game. While supporting her Fiancée Raoul, she sometimes gets irritated by his attitude.
Relationships: She used to dislike Serios because Raoul disliked him, but after learning that Raoul likes Liese during the Duel incident, her irritation reached its peak. She now sees Serios from a fair perspective and respects his actions.
- Mireille Glanz
Age: 16
Position: Gard’s Fiancée, Daughter of a Count
Personality: Gentle and prone to victim mentality.
Characteristics: Appears as the villainess when capturing Gard in the otome game. She liked watching her Fiancée Gard fight and thought his straightforwardness was cute. However, she sheds tears when his affection is directed towards Liese.
Relationships: Because she liked Gard, she holds a grudge against Liese and doesn’t think very highly of Serios either.
- Glen von Leclair
Age: 42
Position: King of Leclair Kingdom
Personality: Selfish and egocentric.
Characteristics: He defends Edward and does not acknowledge Serios. He disinherited Serios due to a certain incident. He has taken three wives, but one is dead. Another is holed up in her room, frightened of something. He has little involvement with anyone other than Edward’s Mother, the Queen, who is his legal wife.
Relationships: Serios’s and Edward’s father.
