Chapter 121: Adventurers vs. Hydra ②
“Heal, Heal, Poisna, Heal, Heal, Heal, Haste, Poisna.”
I spammed healing magic.
The adventurers had momentum at first, but the battle was starting to look like a quagmire.
The number of Hydra heads we’d taken down was five.
We’d finally reached the halfway point, but the Hydra’s way of fighting had changed.

The Hydra stretched its remaining heads upwards and rained down its poison breath on the adventurers. Then, using its tail and the necks that had lost their heads, it mowed down the adventurers whose movements had been impaired by the poison.
Clearly, the Hydra was wary of having its heads cut off.
At this rate, the vanguard’s weapons wouldn’t be able to sever the Hydra’s necks.
“Zwei Magia, Fireball!”
The one who truly shone in this situation was the mage from “Crimson Vow,” Sophie-san.
Sophie-san is our only fire mage. The Hydra possesses powerful regenerative abilities, but cauterizing the wounds with fire or acid can hinder its regeneration.
In other words, only Sophie-san’s magic could inflict wounds on the Hydra that it couldn’t regenerate.

With a resounding explosion, Sophie-san’s twin Fireballs gouged the base of the Hydra’s neck.

Unable to bear it, the Hydra’s neck recoiled, and adventurers swarmed it, taking down its head.

And then, the Hydra would send those who swarmed it flying.
“Heal, Heal, Heal, Heal, Heal, Heal, Heal, Heal…”

“Let’s gooo!”
The adventurers who were sent flying got back up and charged towards the Hydra again. From the Hydra’s perspective, they were probably worse enemies than zombies that kept coming back no matter how many times you defeated them.
Well, there were still some guys whose weapons were destroyed, leaving them helpless.
Of course, I’d prepared for that!
“Those who’ve lost their weapons, there are weapons here! Take them!”
“You’re a lifesaver!”
Adventurers whose equipment had been destroyed, some now half-naked, grabbed the weapons and charged towards the Hydra once more.
The weapons I distributed to the adventurers were those from the mansion whose curses had been removed. Since their purchase price was dirt cheap, it doesn’t hurt my wallet no matter how many I give out here. And on top of that, the adventurers are grateful, so I can’t stop smiling.

The rear guard wasn’t losing either. Starting with Sophie-san, everyone attacked the Hydra with their own chosen spells. One by one, the Hydra’s necks were severed, and Thea-san’s Lesser Heal forcibly sealed the Hydra’s wounds.
And then, the Hydra was left with only its central head. The Hydra had no way out now.

“Zehahahahahahahaha!”
“Let’s go!”

The adventurers were suddenly fired up.
The Hydra was certainly huge. It boasted a physique larger than a heavy truck from my previous life. Being huge, in itself, means being strong. The Hydra was strong.
In addition, its heads would regenerate if left alone, no matter how many you severed. If you wounded its body, poisonous fluids would gush out, and if you didn’t deal with it, you’d be afflicted by poison. The Hydra was not necessarily an easy monster to defeat. You could even call it a formidable enemy.

As if to meet the falling Hydra’s neck, Zasha-san’s greatsword struck upwards from below.

With Susane-san’s and Zuzana-san’s kicks, Zasha-san’s greatsword finally severed the Hydra’s last neck.

Thea-san’s Lesser Heal flew out without delay, and the Hydra’s final neck stump was sealed.
