Chapter 138: Cassandra ②
“Dora, do you have a moment?”
“What is it, Dee-sama?”
In the bedroom, at night. I mustered the courage to speak to Cassandra, who was beside me, eagerly about to remove her nightgown.
“Will you be undressing me yourself today? I seem to recall hearing that some gentlemen prefer it that way.”
“No, that’s not it…”
Cassandra was already fully prepared for our nightly activities.
Well, when I’m asking for it almost every night, it just becomes the norm, doesn’t it?
My libido had become abnormally strong, and I couldn’t possibly restrain myself with such an alluring beautiful girl sleeping next to me.
I sat cross-legged on the bed and gazed at Cassandra’s face, illuminated white in the dim lamplight.
“This is a serious conversation.”
“What might it be?”
Cassandra pulled back the nightgown she had been about to remove and looked at me.
“I’m going to ask something difficult to answer, but I want you to be honest. Dora, do you think… you could come to love me…?”
Cassandra looked at me with half-closed eyes, an exasperated expression on her face as if to say, “What in the world is this guy talking about?”
“It’s not a matter of ‘could I come to love you’; I already love you, Dee.”
“!!”
Knowing Cassandra’s feelings, my heart pounded. Until now, Cassandra had never directly voiced her feelings for me. I’m happy. So much so that I almost felt like diving into Cassandra’s ample bosom.
“I’m so happy to know how you feel, Dora. I love you too, Dora. I can’t even imagine a life without you anymore.”
“I’m happy to hear that.”
There was no hint of falsehood in Cassandra’s soft smile as she said that.
That’s why I don’t understand.
Normally, would someone welcome their husband taking more wives?
Some people might spout nonsense about loving everyone equally, but it stands to reason that if the number of wives increases, the time spent with each individual wife will decrease. Cassandra must understand that too.
So, why is Cassandra welcoming the idea of me having more wives?
“Dora, tell me your true feelings. I got engaged to Clau. We’ll probably get married eventually. And then there’s Ria and Lily. You seemed to welcome all of this, but are you really okay with it?”
“Umm…”
Uncharacteristically, Cassandra seemed to struggle for words, her eyes darting around.
“I thought you already knew, Dee… Have you not noticed yet?”
“Eh?”
I’ve noticed? Noticed what? What am I overlooking?
“From the looks of it, you haven’t noticed. Dee, you can be dense in strange ways, so perhaps it can’t be helped?”
“Me, dense?”
“Yes, especially when it comes to interpersonal relationships and romance, you’re disastrously so.”
“Me…?”
I was surprised, but at the same time, I understood. Interpersonal relationships and romance. I had no connection to either in my previous life. I must be severely lacking in experience points.
“I see…”
“I’m very hesitant about whether I should tell my circumstances to someone like you, Dee. I wonder if I’ll be able to gain your understanding… However, I undoubtedly love you, Dee, and at the same time, I agree with you having multiple wives.”
“Is this a political matter, as the daughter of a high-ranking noble?”
“That’s part of it, but my personal preferences carry more weight. Would you care to hear about them?”
“…”
Should I ask?
No, I probably should ask.
“Tell me. I want to understand you as much as possible, Dora, and I want to love you.”
“You express your affection so directly, Dee, it makes me a little embarrassed.”
As Cassandra said this, her cheeks were tinged slightly red.
“Umm, the reason I’m in favor of you having more wives, Dee, is largely related to my preferences. I absolutely adore cute girls!”
“Yes…?”
That was a rather unexpected statement.
“Therefore, I absolutely adore cute girls! The Princess-sama is number one, but Ria-san and Lily-san are cute too, aren’t they? You think they’re cute too, don’t you, Dee?”
“Ah, yeah.”
“Right! The reason I agreed to marry you, Dee, was because there was a high chance the Princess-sama would end up with you! I want to be together with the Princess-sama!”
“I see…”
“…Do you understand?”
“Yeah…”
So, Cassandra is a woman who likes women?
I’m not an expert or anything, but I have memories of Japan from my previous life. I know words like “gender identity” and “homosexual.”
“That’s wonderful, Dee! To think there’s a gentleman who would understand! Oh, Goddess. I give you my thanks!”
You might think she’s exaggerating, but this is another world where the understanding of gender issues is even worse than in Japan, which is said to be a developing country in that regard. It must be a very difficult world for someone like Cassandra, a homosexual, to live in.
“But, Dora, if you like women, then what about me…?”
“It’s true that I like women, but strangely enough, I can love you, Dee. If that weren’t the case, I wouldn’t let you hold me almost every night.”
“I see…”
Cassandra’s words were convincing.
In other words, I’m probably an exception for Cassandra.
“That’s a relief. So I wasn’t forcing you into something you didn’t want, Dora…”
“It would be helpful if you’d consider the frequency just a little bit, though.”
“It’s your fault for being so alluring, Dora.”
“Oh, honestly. But, I’ll let you have that one.”
“Sorry?”
“It is a wife’s duty to accept her husband’s desires. Besides, you’re still only fourteen, Dee. Leave it to your big sister.”
