Bachelor’s Isekai Reincarnation – Chapter 28

Chapter 28

Fahrenheit regretted stepping into the large chamber.

He had needed even the slightest bit of information for the formation of the subjugation party, but retreating the moment he felt something was amiss would likely have been the correct decision.

He decided on an immediate retreat, but his escape route was completely swarmed by goblins that had appeared from somewhere, as if to protect their master, the Goblin Lord.

He racked his brain for what to do, but no solution came to mind.

“Anisama. I’ll handle the front somehow, so please protect our rear.”

Before Fahrenheit could stop him, his youngest brother, Claude, moved to the front.

After confirming Claude was dealing with the goblins in the chamber with the high-level magic, Inferno, Fahrenheit focused his attention on their rear.

At their rear, Klaus was risking himself, preventing goblins from entering the large chamber.

Judging that he should trust Claude, who seemed to have a plan, and focus on not letting him be disturbed, Fahrenheit moved to cover Klaus.

Fortunately, other goblins were getting in the way, blocking the line of fire for the Goblin Mages and Goblin Archers capable of ranged attacks.

How long had they been fighting?

There was no doubt they had subjugated many goblins, but even though they had avoided fatal wounds, their bodies were covered in injuries.

The remaining mana of Alicia-san and Iris-san was also a concern.

He braced himself for one last push, but suddenly, the goblins began to scatter in all directions.

When he looked towards the large chamber to check on Claude, the figure of the massive Goblin Lord was gone, and only Claude stood there.

Claude collected the loot and immediately ran over to them.

“Anisama-tachi, are you alright? Area Heal!”

Their wounds healed instantly from the Healing Magic Claude cast.

“I had a feeling you had some plan, Claude, but to think you’d defeat the Goblin Lord all by yourself…”

“It’s only because you all held back the goblins in the passage, Anisama-tachi.”

“The crisis has passed, but we don’t have much stamina left. Let’s collect the spoils and withdraw.”

They all worked together to collect the magic stones and poor-quality weapons dropped by the goblins.

“I have an idea. Anisama. Ane-sama. Please hold onto me.”

Fahrenheit didn’t know what Claude intended to do, but he touched him as instructed.

Just as his vision blurred, the scenery changed.

Looking around, he realized they were at the dungeon entrance.

“Could this be… Teleportation Magic?”

“Netzal-san made me practice it relentlessly.”

“There’s a lot I want to say, but… shall we head back?”

They all boarded the carriage they had left waiting and set off for home.

They must have been exhausted.

Alicia-san and Iris-san, and of course Klaus too, were asleep, lulled by the rocking of the carriage.
