Bachelor’s Isekai Reincarnation – Chapter 53

Chapter 53

I had arrived at the Safe Zone just before my target floor.

It seemed no other adventurers came this far, so I had the place all to myself.

“Eating Portable Rations is a bit bland, isn’t it? I think I’ll try grilling some of that Lizardman meat I just got.”

I used Utility Magic to roast the meat, seasoning it lightly with salt and pepper.

“This should be cooked enough. Alright, time to dig in.”

I bit into the piping hot meat.

“It’s quite muscular, but this texture is actually pretty good.”

I finished eating in no time and enjoyed a cup of tea as an after-meal treat.

After spending some relaxing time, I pondered what to do next.

“It’s still too early to sleep, huh? Maybe I’ll just take a little peek.”

I quickly cleaned up, checked my equipment, and left the Safe Zone.

Beyond the passage was a slightly wider room, and my target Lizardmen were gathered there.

The Lizardmen that noticed me started heading my way.

“Woah! There they are, there they are! Kamo Negi, Kamo Negi!”

I unleashed Air Cutters with multi-casting, hunting them down as they approached.

Full of energy, I wiped out all the Lizardmen in the room and then headed to the next one.

Before I knew it, I had hunted down all the Lizardmen on the floor and had no choice but to return to the Safe Zone.

There were even some elite Lizardmen among them, and I figured their drops could be used for equipment for slightly higher-ranked people.

After a nap, considering the respawn time and finding myself with some free time, I used an application of Utility Magic to melt down weapons and put them into the Alchemy Pot to create ingots.

“Hmm. Not bad at all. If I take these to a blacksmith to have weapons made, procuring weapons shouldn’t be an issue.”

Meanwhile, the soldiers managing this dungeon were worried about Claude, who hadn’t returned at all.

Challenging a dungeon is one’s own responsibility.

If Baron Claude insisted, they couldn’t very well refuse him entry, but if a child went missing and they did nothing, their reputation would suffer.

“We’ll observe a little longer, and if he doesn’t return, we’ll form a search party.”

Such was the decision made by the captain in charge.

I, completely unaware of this situation, continued hunting Lizardmen.

Having secured more materials than my target amount, I used Teleportation Magic to instantly return to the dungeon entrance.

When I returned to the entrance, I noticed some sort of commotion and decided to ask a nearby person about it.

“Did something happen?”

“Apparently, a kid went into the dungeon and hasn’t come back. You shouldn’t be loitering around a place like this either, go home.”

“Thank you for your concern.”

Just then, the dungeon management unit, who were about to depart, noticed me.

“Baron Claude, is that you? Are you unharmed?”

“Ahaha. I’m very sorry to have worried you.”

I gave a wry smile, feeling rather remorseful.
