Bachelor’s Isekai Reincarnation – Chapter 61

Chapter 61

After getting a full night’s sleep and finishing breakfast, Claude promptly headed for the blacksmith.

The building housing the blacksmith was billowing smoke.

As he passed through the door, a clerk who was minding the shop called out to him.

“Well, if it isn’t Claude-sama. What can I do for you today?”

“I have something I’d like to order. Is the master blacksmith in?”

“I’ll call him right away.”

The clerk dashed off towards the forge.

After a short wait, the master blacksmith appeared, wiping sweat from his brow.

“Hey there, Master. You seem busy.”

“Thanks to you, we’re operating at full capacity. We’re rushing to complete the items you’ve ordered, but please give us a little more time.”

“Yeah. I’m grateful for your work, Master. I’ve acquired a large amount of ore today, so I was wondering if I could add another request. Would that be alright?”

“Could you show me the materials?”

“It’s this…”

From his Item Box, he took out one ingot each of Mithril and Orichalcum.

“Isn’t this Mithril and Orichalcum?!”

“Can I ask you to process them?”

“They’re difficult to work with, but I’ll give it a try. No… please, let me do it!”

“I thought you’d say that, Master. Can I leave the materials in the usual place?”

“Yes, that’s fine.”

Claude went to the warehouse and took out a large quantity of Mithril and Orichalcum, along with iron and copper.

“Such a huge amount! Claude-sama, you’re as extraordinary as ever. Should we make swords and spears as usual?”

“Yeah, please do. As for the copper, it’s not really suited for weapons, so you can use it however you like, Master.”

“Thank you for your consideration.”

“Alright then. I’ll leave it to you. I’m heading off now.”

“We look forward to your next visit.”

At the blacksmith shop Claude had just left, the master blacksmith was gathering his craftsmen and employees.

“As you can see, a large quantity of valuable materials has come in. I’m sure you understand, but I want you to ensure security is airtight. You, just in case, go to the Adventurers’ Guild and hire some adventurers for protection.”

The Prominence Domain is generally safe, but with this many valuable goods, you never know what might happen.

The instructed clerk hurried to the Adventurers’ Guild.

“Alright everyone, get to your workstations.”

The craftsmen returned to their respective posts.

The master blacksmith, too, cradled a Mithril ingot and faced his personal forge.

He had experience handling Mithril in the past, so that was fine, but he had no experience with Orichalcum.

He felt some anxiety, but having been entrusted with the task, he was determined to do his best.

Overwhelmed with processing the materials Claude brought in, they hadn’t yet realized it, but their blacksmith shop was on its way to becoming one of the most prominent in the country.
