Black Steel King – Chapter 193

Episode 193: Resounding Roar

I pull my left arm back. The Red King raises his face, but his movements are sluggish.

He doesn’t seem to be keeping up with my movements. I shift gears.

I put my right foot forward, stomping on the ground. Unable to withstand the weight of the giant god, exceeding 50 tons, the concrete cracks and my foot sinks in.

Yuma doesn’t care and slams a left hook into the dragon’s face.

The Dragon King’s face contorts unnaturally. His head tilts sharply, throwing his body off balance.

I press the attack without pause. This time, I step in with my left foot and drive a right straight into the dragon’s gut. Steel scales crack, and my fist pierces his abdomen.

The dragon vomits stomach acid and writhes in agony.

But this isn’t the end. Yuma grits his teeth and unleashes a barrage of punches with both fists.

Each blow surely destroys the dragon’s body.

The Red King can’t counterattack and is forced to defend. He’s wounded all over and spewing out a lot of blood.

Although he’s regenerating, the speed is clearly slowing down.

–His regeneration ability is weakening. I can do this!

I conjure a longsword from the back of my right hand and swing it at his neck. But–

“Ugh!?”

The sword stops midway, unable to sever his neck.

Because I can’t use “Water Magic,” the sharpness is less than before. Even so, I can’t afford to let up.

Yuma retracts the sword and makes spikes protrude from both fists, then pummels him.

The dragon’s body tears apart, and blood splatters. Even though he can’t breathe flames properly anymore, the dragon’s body is terrifyingly hot. It feels like my fists are being burned the more I punch him.

On top of that, the dragon’s blood flying at me is as hot as magma.

I take damage every time I attack. Even so, I don’t let up. I pour all my strength, all my remaining stamina, into this attack.

I strike the dragon’s head with a backhand blow, and as he staggers, I unleash a roundhouse kick. The dragon collapses violently onto the rubble and rolls away.

The ground cracks, and dust dances in the air.

As the dragon tries to get up, staggering, I deliver a liver blow with all my might. My left arm digs into the dragon’s abdomen.

The dragon screams and twists his body, slamming his tail at me.

The shoulder shield’s defense is too late, and Yuma takes a direct hit.

Although no explosion occurs, the impact is so great that I’m blown away for more than thirty meters. When the giant falls, the earth shakes, and the surrounding buildings collapse.

Yuma somehow tries to stand up, but he can’t put any strength into his body.

–Am I reaching my limit?

Staggering, I still manage to stand and stomp on the ground with both feet.

I take a deep breath. The Red King in front of me is covered in blood and seriously wounded. But if I leave him alone, his wounds and Magical Power might recover, and he might be able to breathe flames again.

Since I can’t use Water Magic, there’s no way to defend against it anymore.

I have to defeat him now, at this moment. Yuma activates the nearly depleted Bloodstained Ore (Bloody Ore) again.

Blood courses through my entire body.

–Remove the limiter! If I do, I can defeat him.

When Yuma defeated the Chimera in the Black Dungeon, he had lost consciousness. That’s why Aisha said that all the limiters on my muscles were removed, and I was able to exert maximum power.

In other words, I was stronger when I defeated the Chimera than I am now.

Yuma concentrates. His body is poisoned, and he’s covered in wounds, truly in a state of extreme duress.

To remove the limiter without losing consciousness, I have to challenge it with all my heart and soul.

“UOOOOOOOOOOOH!!”

I sprint in a straight line. I extend the sword from the back of my right hand and stab it into the dragon’s abdomen.

The longsword pierces the dragon’s torso. The dragon screams and staggers. When I pull out the sword, blood splatters. The scorching blood covers my body, but I don’t have time to care.

I slam a left hook into his shoulder. I feel the sensation of bones breaking.

–Not yet, I should be able to do more!

Exceeding the limits of my mind and body, Yuma’s muscle strength is unleashed.

I headbutt the dragon’s face. Bones crack, and skin tears. The dragon bleeds profusely from his face.

The dragon tries to back away, but Yuma doesn’t allow it.

I grab his wings and neck and put my strength into it.

“AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!”

I tear off the Red King’s wings and deliver a front kick.

The dragon is blown back more than a hundred meters and collapses to the ground. Amidst the rising dust, the dragon convulses and can’t get up.

Yuma starts running without pause. His speed is so great that it’s difficult to follow with the eye.

I step forward with a speed that doesn’t seem possible for a giant and kick the dragon’s body up into the air. The Red King flies through the air and crashes into a building behind him.

Yuma immediately follows up and grabs the dragon’s neck with his right hand.

I feel a burning heat, but I don’t care and squeeze with all my might to immobilize him. I glance at the tail thrashing about at my feet and stomp on it.

The dragon lets out a scream close to a shriek and begins to suffer and writhe.

The giant pulls back his left fist. He attaches several sharp spikes to the surface of the fist and punches with all his might without hesitation.

Face, shoulder, arm, chest, and abdomen. I repeat the merciless attacks many times, dozens of times.

Many people witnessed the scene.

Politicians and experts at the Prime Minister’s Office.

People who had barely escaped to safety in environments with internet connections.

And on the scene, the surviving Seekers.

Everyone watched the battle between the giant and the dragon, holding their breath.

The Dragon King, who had plunged them into the depths of terror and despair and destroyed the city.

That monster, the strongest dragon, is now about to be killed.

Everyone raised their voices. They sent cheers that seemed to tear from their throats, begging him to defeat the dragon, and shouted with all their hearts.

To the “Black Armor” they had once tried to eliminate–

Rui, who was watching from the rooftop of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building, had mixed feelings.

–Yuma shouldn’t be in a condition to fight, but…

The giant releases his hand from the dragon’s neck and unleashes a barrage of attacks on the dragon’s torso. The movement of his arms is so fast that it can’t be seen.

The dragon writhes and spits out a lot of blood from his mouth. The surrounding buildings collapse from the impact.

“Yuma… please come back safe.”

◇◇◇

I unleash a barrage of attacks without breathing, but I can’t hold my breath, and my hand stops for a moment.

In that slight gap, the dragon shakes his head and spits out flames as if squeezing them out.

It’s weaker than the flames so far. Even so, the flames that fell on my body caused Yuma intense pain.

“Guh!”

Yuma’s face contorts. I want to back down. I want to stop fighting and drop to my knees.

But Yuma stepped forward. I point my left shoulder shield at the dragon and charge straight in.

The dragon takes the charge head-on, and the bones in his body are crushed. Yuma doesn’t stop and runs through, leaving the dragon impaled on the spikes of the shield.

Destroying several buildings, I slam the dragon into the Imperial Capital Hotel three hundred meters away.

The building, which had been intact on the outside, collapsed, and more than half of the hotel collapsed.

The dragon is limp and doesn’t move. Yuma also staggers, but grits his teeth and approaches the dragon. I grab the base of his neck and tail, lift his torso, and raise it high.

I can’t maintain the giant’s body anymore. Yuma understands with his senses.

This is the last attack. Yuma throws the dragon up into the air. The limp body of the giant rises and falls.

The red blood flowing through Yuma’s body shines thicker and stronger.

–Everything, into this one blow!

I put all my strength into it and kicked up the dragon’s body that was in front of me.

It was as if an explosion had occurred, the surrounding buildings were blown away, and the resulting blast attacked the Seekers on the roof of the building.

The dragon’s body was blown far into the sky.

Blood splattered, and the dragon with his eyes rolled back slowly fell.

Many buildings in Tokyo had been destroyed by the dragons’ attack. It’s a big city exposing its miserable appearance, but there are still some buildings left.

A red and white steel tower standing on four legs.

More than anything, a monument that symbolizes this place.

The Red King fell straight toward Tokyo Tower. The tip of the radio tower pierced the dragon’s wound, deeply penetrating his red body.

The monster groaned.

Unable to withstand the weight of the dragon, Tokyo Tower creaked and bent.

It fell to the ground with the Red King, and the impact shook the area.

The Dragon King, prostrate on the earth, lay on his side and turned into a large amount of sand as if bursting.

Fragments of sand carried by the wind dance in the clear Tokyo sky.
The Seekers who witnessed the scene directly, and the people who watched through monitors, were all speechless and stunned.

Yuma whipped his body, which was about to collapse, and somehow managed to maintain his posture.

He had defeated the Red King. But there was still something he had to do.

Yuma spread his feet shoulder-width apart, raised both arms, and looked at the sky.

He put strength in his stomach, squeezed out his energy, and shouted.

“UOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!”

The roar echoed through the skies of Kanto.

Hearing it, the hundreds of Ancient Dragons fled all at once.

The roar of the Black Giant indicated that this was the Black King’s territory. The Dragons, having lost their King, had no way to resist.

Some returned to the Red Dungeon in Ibaraki, and the rest left Japan, each trying to be the first to escape.

Confirming that the Dragons had left, Yuma relaxed with relief.

The Black Giant knelt down, gradually losing its shape and turning into a metal sphere. It gradually shrunk, and what remained at the end was a battered human, collapsed and unmoving.

Yuma had a satisfied expression as he lost consciousness.
