Black Steel King – Chapter 208

Episode 207: Extraordinary Power
Zamara, her long, beautiful hair flowing, wields a sword that unleashes lightning.
She slashes at the angel’s chest and immediately retreats. Exhaling briefly, she recomposes her stance.
Zamara was growing impatient. Angels, who should be in much deeper layers, appearing in such a shallow area?
It meant that many angels were coming to the upper levels.
Several angels had already emerged on the surface. They couldn’t allow any more angels, each capable of causing immense damage, to roam freely.
Zamara pours Magical Power into her Magic Enchanted Armament, the Holy Sword (Kris), in her right hand.
The moment she raised the sword with its distinctive undulating blade, a commotion erupted behind her. Unsure of what had happened, she glanced back to see an unfamiliar man standing there.
He carried a Hammer and wore a red and black battle suit.
When the Hammer, swung lightly, struck the angel, its white body exploded like a balloon.
The angel instantly turned to sand, scattering into the air.
The man twirled his weapon and tapped the angels approaching from the left and right with a light tap, tap.
With a pop, pop, the angels that had been there vanished in an explosion.
Only sand spread across the ground.
The sheer spectacle left Zamara and the other Seekers dumbfounded.
The only one remaining was the angel in front of them.
The man dashed towards them. Zamara flinched for a moment. Up close, the man’s skin was jet black, with red light flowing through it like blood.
He didn’t seem human. He looked like a demon.
As she stood there, unable to move, the man passed right by Zamara and swung his large Hammer without hesitation.
The angel exploded, losing its form.
Only sand and Ember danced in the aftermath.

“What… what is that?”

Zamara stared intently at the man. The red light gradually faded, leaving only the black body.
The man lowered his Hammer as if nothing had happened, gazing at the angel’s sand scattered on the ground.

“Hey! You!”

Rachmad and the members of his Seeker Clan, Kujata, rushed over.

“Amazing! I never thought you were this strong!”

Rachmad grinned as he clapped the man on the shoulder. The Seekers of Kujata were overjoyed that the angel had been defeated.
But Zamara couldn’t bring herself to be happy. What was that abnormal power? Was it magic?
Various questions flooded her mind, leaving her bewildered by the black man.

◇◇◇

“Hahaha, when I heard that Japan had repelled the Red King, I thought it was too good to be true, but seeing your strength, I’m starting to believe it,”

Rachmad smiled cheerfully. He put his arm around Yuma’s shoulder and walked towards the entrance to the second level.

“We’re thinking of going ahead with my three companions from here on out, is that alright?”

Yuma glanced at Rui and Akito walking behind him. Rui nodded with a smile, and Akito gave a thumbs up.

“Ah, of course! We couldn’t ask for anything more. We’re counting on you!”
“Yes!”

After entering the second level, Yuma and his companions took the lead.
Six Lesser Angels, Principalities, approached, but they were no match.
Rui’s Scorching Blade, drawn from its sheath, severed the angels’ heads with fluid movements. The wounds exploded, turning them into sand without regeneration.
When Akito thrust his Gae Bolg, clad in black Lightning, into an angel, its body exploded, scattering without a trace.
The sight was impactful enough to amaze Rachmad and the Indonesian Seekers. But what surprised them even more was Yuma’s fighting style.
He dashed across the ground with terrifying speed, swinging his Hammer.
The moment the Hammer touched them, the angels exploded into tiny pieces. He increased his speed, attacking before the angels could react.
A light strike from the Hammer blew away the upper half of an angel’s body.
An angel that tried to back away was hit by Yuma’s thrown Hammer, exploding into fragments.
None of them regenerated. All were burned to ashes.
Yuma pulled the chain made of Liquid Metal, returning the Hammer to his hand.

“Seriously, you’re too amazing. At this rate, we might reach the lowest level today.”

As Rachmad said, the conquest from there was swift.
Yuma and his companions defeated all the white Monsters, including the angels, with a single blow.
Rui and Akito, having fought the Ancient Dragon, had also exceeded a Mana Index of 8000. Ordinary Monsters were no longer a match for them.
The Indonesian Seekers had no chance to participate in the trio’s rapid advance.
The group quickly reached the twentieth underground level.
And then—

“So this is the twentieth level, the atmosphere is different from before,”

Yuma nodded at Rui’s words.

“Yeah, it’s kind of… beautiful.”

They were now in a large, dome-shaped space, a concrete-like structure, but the walls and ceiling sparkled.
Particles of light gathered in the air, gradually taking shape.

“That’s—this is bad!”

Rachmad shouted, and tension filled the air. Yuma and the others didn’t understand what was happening and could only stare at the light.
The light transformed into the shape of a person. It was an angel with wings.

“Intermediate-level angels, Dominions!”

Three angels appeared. One of them flapped its wings and descended rapidly.
It headed towards the Indonesian Seeker Clan. Perhaps because of its wings, its speed was incomparable to that of the Lesser Angels.
The angel thrust the Dagger of Light in its right hand into a male Seeker.
The wound didn’t seem that large, but the man rolled his eyes and staggered. The wound swelled up, growing larger and larger before bursting with a bang.
The man collapsed in a gruesome state. He was beyond saving.

“What the hell is that!?”

Akito grimaced at the abnormal attack. Rachmad dispersed his comrades and approached Akito.

“Don’t touch that Sword of Light. It’s said to be magic that expands life force. Any living thing that touches it will die instantly!”
“That’s insane! I’ve never heard of anything like that.”

Akito readied his spear, wary of the angel. Then, the angel in the sky descended rapidly.
Its target was Yuma.

“Hey, Yuma! Don’t touch the angel’s Dagger. It’s dangerous!”

Akito shouted loudly, but Yuma showed no sign of moving. The angel thrust the Dagger of Light in its hand into Yuma’s chest.

“Ah!?”

Rui and Akito’s voices overlapped. Rachmad and the Indonesian Seekers were speechless, but there was no change in Yuma’s body.
No one knew what had happened, and everyone fell silent.
Then, Yuma raised his left hand and grabbed the angel’s right hand. The Dominion tried to pull its arm away, but it wouldn’t budge.
The angel’s arm hissed and smoked. The white Monster began to struggle desperately.
Yuma poured Fire Magical Power into the angel. The angel’s body glowed crimson and swelled up.
The moment it doubled in size, light spread around them.
The Dominion exploded, scattering into fragments without a trace.
