“So, we got the [White Magic Gem]. The Mana Index was 3800, right? Did you ask Rui when we can get it?” Akito asked.
Rui put his hand on his chin. “Hendri-san said the government brought the Magic Gem to East Java. I think we can get it soon.”
Yuma, who had been slumped over the desk, raised his head and said, “Is that so?” If he could get it soon, that would be great. His destination wasn’t here, but India. As Yuma was thinking about this, he noticed someone standing at the entrance of the tent.
“Huh… you are…”
Yuma stood up from his chair. Rui and Akito also turned their eyes to the entrance. It was Zamara standing there. She was still wearing her sword and her dirty battle suit. She should be injured, but she didn’t go to the hospital. What’s going on?
“Can I have a moment? I need to talk to you.”
Zamara also had an earphone for translation. There should be no problem in having a conversation.
“Yes, of course. What is it?”
Yuma walked up to Zamara and faced her, feeling a little nervous. Was it some kind of complaint? It seemed like she disliked him quite a bit. Yuma could only imagine bad things, but—
“I wanted to thank you. You helped me, thank you.”
“Ah, no, it’s nothing…”
He couldn’t help but stammer. He didn’t expect to be thanked. Looking at Zamara’s face again, she was indeed quite beautiful. She had beautiful long black hair and healthy tanned skin. More than anything, her revealing battle suit, like a traditional costume, was still a bit distracting.
“I heard that your black body… is as hard as Iron (Metal), is that your magic? Can you keep your body hard all the time?”
“No, I have to use the ‘Metallization’ magic… normally, my body is normal.”
“I see… By the way, I heard you’re going to India, is that true? I heard it’s pretty bad there.”
“Ah, yes, but I have to go. There’s a reason why I absolutely have to go.”
“I see.”
Zamara held out her right hand. Yuma hurriedly wiped his right hand on his pants and shook hands with Zamara. He felt a warm sensation from her hand and couldn’t help but feel nervous.
“Be careful.”
“Yes, thank you very much.”
Yuma gratefully thanked Zamara, who gave him a smile. At that moment, he felt a sensation of being pushed. Wondering what it was, he looked down and saw a Longsword stabbed into his stomach. A distinctive sword with a wavy blade. Rachmad also had a “Magic Enchanted Armament.” Yuma’s eyes widened.
“Wh…y?”
He saw Zamara holding the sword with her left hand, stabbing him without hesitation. Her eyes were cold, as if looking down on something filthy. Zamara twisted the sword, crushing Yuma’s internal organs, and then poured “Lightning Magical Power” into him.
“Gaaaaaaaaaaaaah!!”
The intense pain made his knees buckle.
“Yuma!!”
Rui noticed the abnormality and grabbed his Katana. Akito also dropped the bread he was eating, exclaiming, “What’s going on?!” The [Holy Sword (Kris)] that had been stabbed into him was pulled out. A large amount of blood flowed from his stomach, and Yuma also vomited blood from his mouth. Just as Zamara raised her sword to finish him off, Rui, who had been running, drew his Katana. Although there was still some distance, sparks flew from the friction of the drawn sword.
“—Firefly Light—!”
The Ember that had entered between Yuma and Zamara exploded one after another.
“Kyaa!?”
Zamara recoiled from the small explosions. In that gap, Rui grabbed Yuma’s shoulder and pointed the tip of his sword at Zamara.
“What do you think you’re doing!? Is this the government’s intention?”
Zamara, holding her sword, smirked.
“The government has nothing to do with this. This is something I have to do.”
At those words, Akito, who had taken up Gae Bolg, raised his voice.
“What are you babbling about!? Do you think you can get away with this ridiculous stunt!?”
Akito also pointed the tip of his spear at Zamara. Backing away towards the exit, Zamara looked at Yuma, who was spitting blood and collapsed.
“You brought a monster… a ‘Black Monster’ more terrifying than the ‘White Magic Gem’!”
As Zamara swung her sword horizontally, the tent’s curtain was torn open, and people jumped in from all directions. Everyone was wearing battle suits and holding swords.
“What are these guys!? Indonesian Seekers?”
“They’re her comrades. Members of ‘Mahakala’, I believe.”
Rui bit his lip. This wasn’t the time to fight. He had to get Yuma to the hospital quickly. A considerable amount of blood was flowing from his stomach. Yuma was trying to use Recovery Magic while crouching down, but it wasn’t working. The wound was too deep. In the first place, Recovery Magic wasn’t meant to heal his own wounds. Using magic required a high level of concentration. With such a serious injury, it would be impossible to concentrate.
“Akito! Get Yuma outside. Give us cover!”
“O-okay. Got it!”
Rui lent his shoulder to Yuma, stood up, and looked ahead. Zamara and five Seekers stood in their way, but Rui swung the Katana in his right hand and slashed down with great force. The Ember that crackled from the blade exploded in front of Zamara and the others.
“Uwaa!” “What is it!?”
Taking advantage of the opponent’s hesitation, Rui went outside the tent with Yuma. Akito ran with all his might, deflecting the enemy’s attacks as he followed.
“They went outside! Don’t let them escape!”
Hearing those words, Akito stopped.
“Huh? Don’t let them escape? Who do you think you’re talking to?”
Black Lightning burst forth from the tip of Akito’s Gae Bolg.
“Who’s escaping!? You morons!!”
Black Lightning ran through the area, striking the Indonesian Seekers directly. Those struck by the Lightning stiffened and fell to the ground. The attacks were so intense that no one could approach.
“Akito, don’t kill them!”
Akito clicked his tongue at Rui’s shout.
“Shut up! I’m holding back, I tell you!”
Rachmad and Hendri rushed over in a hurry, hearing the explosions and Lightning.
“What’s wrong!? What happened?”
Akito spat out at Rachmad, who called out to him.
“Your comrade tried to kill Yuma! What do you think you’re doing? Are you trying to fight us?!”
Rachmad turned his eyes to the entrance of the tent. There stood Zamara and the Seekers of “Mahakala.” Each of them held their weapons, their eyes bloodshot.
“What do you intend, Zamara! Attacking the people who helped us… have you lost your mind!?”
Zamara glared at Rachmad sharply.
“Haven’t you seen it? That ‘Black Magic’ that man used… it’s the power of the [Black King Gressamur] written on the Stone Tablet!!”
Rachmad gritted his teeth and glared back at Zamara. Meanwhile, Yuma, who was about to lose consciousness, opened one eye and looked at Zamara, who looked like she was about to pounce on him.
“Gress… amur…?”
