Black Steel King – Chapter 213

Chapter 212: Clash of Clans

Rachmad’s Seeker Clan, “Kujata,” gathered, confronting Zamara’s Seeker Clan, “Mahakala,” in a tense standoff.

Taking advantage of the distraction, Hendri rushed to Rui’s side.

“A-are you alright?! I-I never imagined it would come to this…”

Akito frowned at Hendri’s flustered and frantic state.

“What do you mean, ‘come to this’?! We fought for this country, and this is how we’re treated?!”
“N-no way! I’m also in the dark about what’s happening.”

Rui spoke to Hendri, who wore a strained expression.

“Hendri-san, there’s no time. Yuma’s injuries are too severe; even if we take him to the hospital now, he won’t make it. Where is the promised White Magic Gem? Please bring it here immediately.”
“T-the Magic Gem has already been transported to the Mojokerto administrative building. If the phone lines were working, I could have them bring it, but unfortunately, I can’t get through… The only option is to go get it by carβ€””
“Then hurry up and get it! Every second counts!!”

Scolded by Akito, Hendri replied, “Y-yes!” and hastily tried to leave.
Rui called out to Hendri’s back.

“Also, if there’s a Messiah, please call them immediately. They should be able to buy us some time.”
“U-understood!”

Hendri, looking pale, immediately dashed off.
The fuse had finally been lit between Rachmad and Zamara, and their respective Seeker Clans clashed.
An abnormal sight of Seekers from the same country fighting each other.
Zamara and Rachmad also crossed longswords, with flames and lightning violently colliding.
Ignoring the battle involving dozens of people, Rui gently laid Yuma on the ground. Yuma was pressing his hand against his abdomen, his face contorted in pain with shallow breaths.
He wasn’t using Recovery Magic effectively.

“Hey, Rui. What do we do? Should we move Yuma somewhere?”

Asked by Akito, Rui shook his head.

“No, it’s better not to move him unnecessarily. If he bleeds any more, there’s no going back.”

The two looked at Yuma with pained expressions. They never expected things to turn out like this.
As Rui gritted his teeth, Akito spoke up, sounding irritated.

“That’s why I was against it! Yuma using ‘Metal Magic.’ Even if he doesn’t become the Black Armor, he’ll only be seen as a source of fear by strangers. The whole world is already on edge with monsters everywhere. His power is just too abnormal!”

Rui lowered his gaze. He might be right.
They, too, had been afraid of Yuma… of the unseen power of the Black Armor, and had tried to defeat him. Wasn’t Zamara just like they had been before?
As Rui was thinking about this, a woman with a white hijab wrapped around her head and wearing a uniform rushed over.
He thought she was a government official, but it seemed she was different.

“My name is Chalita. May I see his injuries?”

A young woman with fair skin and distinct features. She must be the Messiah who had been waiting on standby on the ground for this Dungeon Conquest.
Rui said, “Please,” and immediately made way.
Chalita crouched beside Yuma and held her hands over the wound. A warm light overflowed from her hands, gently enveloping the abdominal wound.
Yuma’s face, contorted in pain, seemed to soften somewhat.

“How is it?”

When Rui asked, Chalita shook her head with a grim expression.

“The wound is too deep. I can’t heal it by myself. If only there were a few more Messiahs, we could at least stop the bleeding…”
“I see.”

Rui frowned and bit his lip. She was probably the only one who could arrive in a short amount of time.
Messiahs were rare individuals, with only a few in each country. Even if there were other Messiahs, he didn’t think they would make it in time.

“Please, just heal as much as you can!”

When Rui asked with a serious look, Chalita nodded and poured even more Magical Power into her hands.
Yuma slightly opened his eyelids, his eyes vacant.
If he lost consciousness, he might not wake up again. As Rui was worrying about this, Akito, who had been watching Rachmad’s group fight, spoke up.

“Looks like it’s over.”

Rui turned his gaze. Many Seekers were lying on the ground, and those who were standing were also injured. It seemed that Rachmad’s “Kujata” had won.
Zamara, who was the last one standing, was also heavily injured and barely able to stand. Despite her desperate resistance, she was captured by the Kujata Seekers and pinned to the ground.
Seeing this, Rachmad sheathed his longsword and walked towards them.
Zamara, with her hands tied behind her back and forcibly stood up, glared at them and raised her voice.

“Rachmad! You’ll regret not killing that man. He will surely bring a great Calamity to the world. He should be killed here and now! Are you listening, Rachmad!!”

Rachmad glanced at Zamara, who was being dragged away while shouting, with pity.
He walked up to Rui and Akito, knelt down, and looked at Yuma’s condition.

“How bad are the injuries?”
“…Pretty bad. I don’t know how much longer he can last.”

Rachmad’s face clouded over at Rui’s sorrowful words.

“I’m sorry. Many of Zamara and the ‘Mahakala’ members had their parents and siblings killed by monsters. Their hatred for monsters is exceptionally strong.”
“Does that make it okay to stab Yuma?”

Akito said irritably. Rachmad lowered his gaze.

“I can’t make excuses. It’s our fault for not being able to restrain Zamara and the others. We should have been more careful.”

Rachmad bit his lip regretfully. Rui and Akito couldn’t blame Rachmad any further.
They, too, had been afraid of Yuma’s power and had tried to defeat him.
About twenty minutes later, a car sped into the ball park. Rui and Akito immediately rushed over, and a flustered Hendri got out.

“I-I’m sorry for the wait! This is the promised White Magic Gem.”

What he presented was a clear, square case. Inside were several Magic Gems.

“Alright! You did well, Hendri!”

Akito snatched the case and immediately returned to Yuma. He knelt down, lifted Yuma’s head, and put a Magic Gem from the case into his mouth.

“Hey, Yuma! Swallow this and use Recovery Magic!!”

Akito desperately called out to Yuma. But Yuma only had a vacant look in his eyes, and it was questionable whether he was even conscious.
As they struggled to get him to swallow the Magic Gem, Rachmad brought a bottle of water, saying, “Use this!”
Akito poured the water into Yuma’s mouth, trying to force him to drink.
The water flowed back out, dripping down, but the Magic Gem seemed to have somehow passed through his throat. Akito shouted desperately.

“Hang in there, Yuma! You can’t heal this wound unless you use the magic yourself! Do you understand, Yuma!!”

He grabbed his chest and called out to him, but Yuma didn’t respond.
He was just staring into space, bleeding profusely from his mouth.
