Black Steel King – Chapter 240

“You… why…”

Kaira was stunned, unable to grasp the situation. The face of Yuma, who had turned around, was mostly covered in a “black birthmark.”

“I’ll kill this one. Stand back.”

So saying, Yuma put strength into his body and gritted his teeth. The black birthmark spread throughout his body, and his clothes were swallowed into his body.
His physique grew about two sizes larger, and his entire body was covered in armor.
A horn like a “sword” grew from his forehead, and he exhaled steam from his fanged mouth. An unmistakable monster form.
Kaira flinched and involuntarily stepped back.
Serket let out a shrill cry and slammed its left claw at Yuma. But Yuma didn’t budge.

“For something so big, is that all you’ve got?”

Yuma dismissively brushed off the claw and took a step forward.
He clenched his left fist and slammed it into the scorpion’s head with lightning speed. The exoskeleton easily cracked, and the scorpion’s head was crushed.

“GIIIIIIIIIIII!!”

The monster’s scream echoed around them.

“Not as tough as I thought.”

Yuma shifted his gaze to the Pickel in his right hand. He poured in “Liquid Metal,” changing the Pickel’s shape into an “Axe.”
When he poured in Wind Magical Power, a green light ran through the axe like blood vessels.
The scorpion, as if enraged, raised its claws and swung them down at Yuma’s head. Yuma lightly spun the axe.
A slight breeze stirred, and a thud sounded from behind.
When Kaira reflexively turned around, she saw Serket’s huge claw lying there.

“Huh?”

Dumbfounded, she looked at Serket again, who was groaning “Gigigigi” as it retreated.
The scorpion’s arm had been severed.

“He… he did that?”

Kaira was speechless at the unbelievable sight. Yuma raised the axe and kicked off the ground, leaping into Serket’s chest.

◇◇◇

My body feels light. Is this the effect of Wind Magic?
The wind clung to my feet, and a blast of air occurred with each step. A speed that the giant scorpion couldn’t possibly keep up with.
Yuma swung the axe horizontally. An ear-splitting sound rang out, and three of the scorpion’s legs were severed.
The scorpion, losing its balance, still pointed the tip of its tail at Yuma, swinging it down from above.
Yuma extended a “sword” from the back of his left hand and thrust it into the scorpion’s tail.
The sword pierced deeply into the tail, completely stopping its movement. Yuma channeled “Fire” Magical Power into the sword in his left hand. The tail glowed red.

“Explode.”

With a roar, the tail exploded, melting down to near the base.
The scorpion didn’t understand what had happened and instinctively tried to escape. Yuma raised the axe high.
He had no intention of letting it escape. He swung down the axe imbued with “Wind Magical Power.”
A gust of wind blew. Looking, the scorpion had been cut into pieces, and its body was dancing in the air.
Without regenerating, it turned into sand and disappeared. Yuma stared intently at the axe he held.
It really fits well. Is this the power of “Wind Magic,” which has good compatibility?
Yuma looked around. Kaira and the Indian Seekers seemed to be confused. Anik and the others, who were a little further away, had also noticed the abnormality.
But there was no time to explain now.
Yuma caught sight of nearby Monsters. Sol Mantises, Itsuki Monsters, and dozens of other Monsters surrounded the area.
He wanted to finish this quickly because he didn’t want to waste the time he had transformed. Thinking so, Yuma readied his axe and kicked off the ground.
When he swung the axe horizontally, the Itsuki Monster was cut off at the root and returned to sand in one stroke. When he swung the axe down and slammed it into the ground, the Monster in front of him vanished in an instant.
The Sol Mantis’s movements, which had felt so fast, were now far slower than Yuma’s due to the effects of Wind Magic and the Bloodstained Ore.
He approached the Sol Mantis and swung the axe.
With a single blow, the [Abyssal Monster] was reduced to dust. All this took only a few seconds.
It didn’t even take a minute for Yuma to annihilate all the Monsters in his sight.

“Phew…”

Yuma lowered the axe and took a breath.
Since “Metallization” couldn’t be canceled until five minutes had passed, he walked towards Rui and Akito in his transformed state. The two of them had already defeated the Sol Mantises.

“Hey! I told you not to transform so fast!”

Akito furrowed his brow and shouted angrily.

‘Sorry, I couldn’t resist.’
“Somehow, it feels really weird when you talk normally in that form.”

Akito looked bewildered.
Although his voice became slightly lower in this form, his natural voice didn’t change, so it certainly felt strange. I wasn’t very conscious of it myself, though.
After a while, “Metallization” was canceled, the Pickel returned to its normal state, and Yuma returned to his original form.
The Monsters were gone, but none of the surrounding Seekers approached.
Even Anik and the Peacock King’s members remained silent and kept their distance. Among them, Kaira was the first to move.
She brought several of her entourage of Seekers with her and came over here.
Rui and Akito looked serious, and Yuma gulped.
What would she say? Would she still be hostile and cause trouble? Or would she listen to our story and accept us?
Yuma was on edge as he watched Kaira approach.
Stopping a short distance away, Kaira looked straight at Yuma. She slowly raised her greatsword and pointed the tip at him.

“You… were you deceiving us! What is your purpose in coming here!!”

Sharp eyes pierced Yuma.
Ah, so it’s come to this after all, Yuma frowned. Walking past Yuma, Akito stepped forward.

“Nobody’s deceiving you! Yuma just showed his power. Can’t you even say thank you after being saved?”

Kaira and Akito glared at each other. Kaira snorted and ordered the Seekers behind her to “Surround them.”
The Indian Seekers carefully moved their feet and surrounded Yuma and the others.

“What, you wanna fight? Fine by me, I’ll take you on!”

Akito readied his spear and looked around. Rui tried to calm him down, saying, “Let’s calm down,” but Akito had no intention of backing down.

“They’re the ones who want to fight! Why should we stop!?”

Black Lightning burst from Akito’s body, and his hair stood on end. Kaira, facing him, raised her greatsword, clad in “Wind.”

“You think ‘Lightning’ can beat ‘Wind’?”
“You won’t know until you try!”

A hair’s breadth away from a clash. Magical Power erupted around the two of them, and it wouldn’t be strange if they collided at any moment. Everyone around them held their breath.

“Please wait, Kaira-san! I think the misunderstanding can be cleared up if you listen to our story…”

Rui stepped forward, desperately trying to stop them—

“There’s no need to listen! There’s no doubt that the black monster is an enemy.”
“Why can you say that!?”

Rui shouted at the stubborn Kaira.

“Why? The reason is simple… I’ve seen that monster before.”

Kaira glared sharply at Yuma and opened her mouth.

“You… you’re the [Black Armor], aren’t you?”
