Episode 298: The Water Monster’s Advance
A large shadow swam in the deep sea. The Blue King was slowly advancing through the dark sea.
Many “monsters” followed from behind. They were not led by the Blue King; they were simply following on their own.
The ruler of the sea swam leisurely, not caring about the movements of other creatures.
It moved its six tentacles, gradually ascending through the sea. The surroundings brightened, and the surface of the water came into view.
When the giant monster surfaced, large splashes of water leaped up.
Once the sea surface calmed, the Blue King raised its six tentacles high, rotating them left and right to survey the surroundings.
The Blue King had no eyes. It sensed the “Mana” in the space with these tentacles, accurately grasping the location of objects and the movements of creatures.
These six tentacles were the Blue King’s eyes and ears.
Using these tentacles, it recognized that there was land several kilometers ahead. It also sensed the presence of many creatures.
Creatures with a different nature from itself.
However, there were also individuals with strong “Mana.” The Blue King understood this instinctively.
It knew that the countless creatures nesting on that land were its enemies.
They must be killed. Every last one of them.
It released a massive amount of Magical Power into the sea. The sea surface swelled, forming a large wave. It could not act on land.
However, there was a way to reach that land.
Using the sea’s undulation, which it had tried several times before, it would cover the land with ice.
This method would allow it to move onto the land itself and kill a large number of creatures. The Blue King slowly submerged its body into the sea.
The waves grew even higher, and the entire sea raged.
The sea itself moved, attacking the land. The waves, layered upon each other, reached heights exceeding one hundred meters, swallowing the land.
After destroying the place where many creatures lived, the Blue King infused the water with Magical Power.
The waves gradually froze, stopping in the shape of a great wave. Many of the small creatures that were fleeing were also frozen and died.
The “Water Monsters” that had followed behind it swam through the ice into the inland areas, eager to be the first.
They attacked and killed the small creatures one after another.
But killing these small creatures was its role. The Blue King thought so, swimming leisurely through the frozen great wave.
When it tried to pass, the ice melted into water, and after it passed, it returned to ice.
It could advance safely within this. Even the power of wind should not be able to push aside the frozen water.
The Blue King thought about such things as it advanced through the ice.

The first to notice were the military personnel outside the city. A wave was approaching from the distant horizon.

The evacuation of the people was not in time, and many were trapped in the ice and lost their lives.

The soldiers who were evacuating the people of the city noticed something coming out of the frozen great wave.
It was a large number of monsters. Fish-men, crabs, and monsters like large snakes were also there.

The bullets fired from the rifles were imbued with a weak Lightning. The monsters that were hit by the bullets spewed blood and staggered back in agony.

The soldiers, acting in platoon scale, felt a response and advanced.
The fish-men retreated in agony. They threw grenades at the crabs with hard shells that were difficult for the guns to penetrate, and at the large snakes.
Because Lightning Magic Gems were used, intense Lightning Strikes attacked the monsters.
The crabs and snakes were electrocuted, convulsed, and then stopped moving. As long as they had these powerful weapons, this Ice Kingdom (Ice Kingdom) would not fall easily.

When they looked up, they saw a whale-like creature on top of the frozen great wave. The soldiers were speechless at its enormous size.
The whale waved its six tentacles like a baton, creating several ice blocks in the air. The sharp tips of the pointed ice blocks faced them.
It was the beginning of an unavoidable despair for the people.
