Episode 369: Two Fighting Gods
Yuma was simply enduring the Great Ape’s attacks.
The opponent’s rapid-fire blows were too fast, leaving no room for a counterattack. He felt impacts that threatened to tear his body apart and nearly fell, but he somehow managed to brace himself and maintain his stance.
–This power… it exceeds even the power of a Unique Monster [King]. Such power can’t last forever. Just like the Bloodstained Ore (Bloody Ore), there should be a time limit.
Although he didn’t have absolute certainty, Yuma decided to gamble on his opponent running out of time.
The only fortunate thing was that the Great Ape was only using physical attacks.
–I’m completely immune to physical attacks. Aren’t I its natural enemy? But, if it can use this ability for a long time…
If the opponent’s attacks continued for too long, his own Metallization Ability might give out first.
If that happened, he would have no chance of winning.
Yuma felt a twinge of anxiety, but he steeled his resolve, convinced that the “Superpower” would run out first!
Then, five minutes after the Great Ape became enveloped in a reddish-purple glow…
The light rapidly faded from the Great Ape’s body as it continued to strike.
The Great Ape looked at its own hands, taking a step back, then another. It turned its gaze to the Iron Giant, its expression one of surprise.
Yuma lowered his arms, straightened his back, and glared at the Great Ape.
–It’s surprised. It’s probably never faced an opponent it couldn’t defeat with its full power. The real fight starts now!
Yuma activated the Bloodstained Ore (Bloody Ore). Red streaks ran across his entire body, and power surged within him.
The Great Ape, as if sensing the danger, also activated the Bloodstained Ore (Bloody Ore).
Two giants cloaked in red light.
Yuma focused his mind even further, directing his awareness to his left hand. He couldn’t defeat this ape with just the Bloodstained Ore (Bloody Ore) alone.
Thinking this, Yuma unleashed the power of the [Kings].
“UOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!”
Vast Magical Power erupted from Yuma’s body. The Conglomerate ability, which reproduced a portion of the [King]’s power. More suited for combat, more easily used in close quarters…
The Great Ape, faced with the swirling “Flame,” “Frost,” and “Wind,” cautiously took a step back.
Dust billowed up, obscuring Yuma’s figure. Rui and Akito, watching from a distance, swallowed hard.
“Yuma’s going all in. If he can’t win with this, things could get really tough.”
Akito agreed with Rui’s words.
“Yeah, that’s right. The Great Ape seems to have used up all its ‘brute strength,’ so the fight could be decided in an instant!”
As Rui and Akito watched, the swirling dust gradually settled.
Standing before the Great Ape was a grotesque giant.
Its left arm was covered in Metal Red armor, and its right arm was clad in Metal Blue armor. Metal Green leggings were reproduced on both legs, and golden fur was wrapped around its ankles.
A giant form more specialized for close combat. Yuma raised both fists in front of his face, adopting a boxing stance.
The Great Ape growled and kicked off the ground, charging forward.
Its fighting ability was superior. But…
Yuma held out his right hand. Explosive Frost engulfed the Great Ape. The ground instantly froze, and frost formed on the Great Ape’s body.
The opponent’s movements slowed slightly. Yuma didn’t miss the opening.
He stepped forward with his right foot and unleashed a left Seiken Zuki (Straight Punch). The scorching fist of heat slammed into the Great Ape’s shoulder.
A sizzling sound echoed as the ape’s shoulder began to melt.
“GAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!”
The Great Ape screamed and hurriedly retreated. Yuma put strength into his legs, kicking off the ground and charging at his opponent.
Both legs, clad in Wind Magical Power, spun at terrifying speed, closing the distance in an instant. This was the only way to catch up to the Great Ape, which was faster than him.
Before the opponent could react, Yuma slammed a left roundhouse kick into the Great Ape’s neck.
A whirlwind erupted, sending the Great Ape flying into the rock wall.
“Not yet!”
Yuma increased his speed even further to follow up. The Great Ape, embedded in the wall, roared and leaped forward.
It swung its left fist, and Yuma countered with a right straight.
The moment the two fists collided, a shockwave spread throughout the Cave.
The two giants remained motionless, fists locked together. At that moment, Yuma’s eyes gleamed. The right fist, clad in ice armor, held the power of Absolute Zero.
The Great Ape looked at its own arm, which had turned white with frost, and let out a high-pitched shriek.
As the Great Ape pulled back its frozen left hand, the arm crumbled and fell apart.
“GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!”
Everything that touched this right hand would freeze, necrotize, and collapse. And his left hand was a magma fist that melted everything.
Yuma stepped forward and unleashed a left straight.
The Great Ape, flustered, was too slow to react and took the attack to its jaw. Another sizzling sound echoed as the skin on its jaw melted away.
Yuma delivered a front kick to the staggering, writhing ape.
An explosive wind erupted, sending the Great Ape flying over thirty meters. The ape crashed into a rock, staggering and falling to its knees.
It seemed to have taken a considerable amount of damage. Still, Yuma didn’t let up.
He kicked off the ground and charged at the Great Ape.
The opponent somehow managed to stand up and enter a defensive stance. Yuma charged in without hesitation.
“I’ll end this now!!”
A barrage of left and right strikes pierced the Great Ape. The flame fist shattered the opponent’s guard, and the ice fist slammed into the Great Ape’s face and chest.
A nightmarish onslaught. The Great Ape had no way to defend against the attacks.
Parts of its body were dissolving, while other parts were freezing. The monster, unable to move while standing, glared at Yuma and opened its mouth.
“UGAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!”
Yuma stepped forward with his left foot and drew back his right fist. A look of terror appeared on the Great Ape’s face.
The right Seiken Zuki (Straight Punch) struck the Great Ape’s neck. In an instant, the area around its neck froze solid, and the Great Ape stopped moving. Yuma turned on his heel, turning his back to his opponent.
“Goodbye. Varlin King.”
The next moment, the Great Ape’s head shattered into countless pieces.
