Episode 429: Light of Condemnation
Rui, carrying Akito, soared higher and higher through the Dungeon’s levels.
“I wonder if Yuma’s alright…”
Seeing Rui mutter anxiously, Akito furrowed his brow.
“Idiot! Of course, he’s fine. There’s no way he’d lose. He’ll definitely beat the crap out of the White King and come back. Absolutely!”
Rui, hearing Akito’s spirited words, agreed with, “You’re right.” He looked up again, the flames swirling around his body intensifying.
His flight speed increased further, heading towards the Dungeon’s exit.
At that moment, the entire level began to shake.
“What? This shaking!?”
“Rui! Look, look at that!”
Akito pointed to where light was leaking from the ground of the level. A violent explosion occurred, and a massive pillar of light pierced through the level.
The light destroyed the ceiling.
“Is this… an attack from the White King!?”
When the light subsided, large holes were left in the ground and ceiling.
As Rui and Akito stared in astonishment, a white figure with wings spread rose into the air. It was undoubtedly the White King.
The color drained from Rui’s face.
“Why is the White King… Could it be! Did Yuma lose!?”
Akito’s face also turned pale. Ignoring the two of them, a black shadow ascended next. A Black Giant spreading dragon-like wings.
“It’s Yuma! Yuma’s chasing after the White King!!”
As Akito shouted, Yuma did indeed seem to be chasing the White King.
Rui watched Yuma disappear into the hole in the ceiling.
“What will become of this battle…?”
◇◇◇
Yuma chased after the angel speeding through the sky. He used Wind Magical Power to increase his speed, but he couldn’t catch up to the angel.
‘Damn! I’m falling behind.’
The angel was rapidly gaining speed.
That “White Flash” pierced through all the levels of the Dungeon. If that’s the case, the White King intends to go to the outside world!
If he lets this guy out, it’ll be a disaster. Thinking so, Yuma desperately pursued him.
◇◇◇
The White King burst through all the Dungeon levels and finally reached the surface.
The “Spatial Mana” that had been running out inside the Dungeon was now overflowing. The White King absorbed the surrounding Mana and gained immense Magical Power.
He soared into the clear sky and surveyed his surroundings. Sensing many life forms, the White King raised his right hand high into the sky.
What was created were countless shining Magic Circles. They covered the sky and continued to spread.
The appearance of a massive Magic Circle spanning hundreds of kilometers was witnessed by many people.
“Hey, what… is that?”
“The sky’s glowing!?”
“Is it the influence of Monsters…?”
As people trembled in fear, Ethan, who was at the International Dungeon Research Organization (IDR) headquarters, also noticed the anomaly in the sky.
“This is…”
Ethan looked at the sky from the window of the research lab. Beside him, Clark swallowed hard.
“Isn’t that the White Magic used by the Four Archangels!? And it’s on a much larger scale than before. If something like that is fired…”
“Yes, it is.”
Ethan, who was usually calm and collected, was different this time. He looked at the sweat gathering on his hands and chuckled softly.
“The damage… millions, no, billions of people could be annihilated in an instant. The only Monster who could use such magic is the White King.”
Ethan looked up at the sky.
–Mitaka Yuma, you’re the only one we can rely on. Please, turn this situation around.
The light Magic Circles continued to spread, filling the sky.
◇◇◇
Yuma emerged from the vertical Hole in the Dungeon and returned to the surface. The angel was directly above him, but Yuma was stunned by the Magical Power emanating from its body.
–His Magical Power is completely restored! I went through all the trouble of depleting it to the limit!!
Yuma gritted his teeth. Even if he fought again, the “Metallization” time would run out before he could defeat him.
More than anything, what he’s trying to use is a wide-range annihilation magic.
If he fires something like that, countless people will die.
There’s no time! Thinking so, Yuma steeled himself.
He raised both hands to the sky and fused his left and right arms together. He extended many long protrusions from his back, and plasma crackled from those protrusions.
To defeat the White King, he had to annihilate him in one shot. But magic doesn’t work on him.
There was only one possible method. Create a ‘Cannon Shell’ with the hardness of a Metal Slime, and pour all his Magical Power into that Cannon Shell before firing it.
If it works, he should be able to obliterate him!
Yuma’s arms transformed into the shape of a turret.
Liquid Metal swirled in front of his chest, and a cylindrical Cannon Shell was created. Yuma poured ‘Fire,’ ‘Water,’ ‘Wind,’ and ‘Lightning’ Magical Power into the Cannon Shell.
The turret extended further, and unique metals spread from all directions.
Beautiful metals of Metal Red and Metal Gray, Metal Blue and Metal Yellow, unfolded like petals around the turret.
The White King, who was in the sky, noticed the anomaly as the immense Magical Power gathered at one point.
But it was too late, as he put strength into his raised hand.
The Magic Circles filling the sky increased in brilliance, and the atmosphere trembled as if heralding the end of the world.
The merciless angel swung his long hand.
Light slowly fell. Billions of Swords of Light. A divine judgment that nothing could stop.
The instant Yuma thought it was too late–something unbelievable happened.
The Swords of Light did not fall downward, but instead gathered directly above the angel. Hundreds of millions of “Swords” concentrated in one place, creating a dazzling light.
When the radiance that stole his vision subsided, Yuma couldn’t believe what appeared in the sky.
It was a giant sword. A Sword of Light that was thousands of times larger than the Sacred Sword that had slashed Yuma’s body.
–What he’s aiming for isn’t the general public. He’s just trying to kill me!
The tip of the giant Sacred Sword was pointed at Yuma, who was floating in the air.
