Chapter 383: Normal Actions
“Um, I mentioned that one of the Heroes has [All Magic] attached to him, right?”
“Yes, that thing he can use without any knowledge?”
“Yeah. And there’s also something called [Domination] attached.”
“…That’s an unsettling term.”
Haulon frowned.
“The second one has [All Swordsmanship] and [Ability Enhancement], while the third has [Doll]. And I think they all have [Youth] and [Beauty] as well? Those two don’t really concern me, though.”
The Gods told me all this, but honestly, I couldn’t care less about their appearances. After all, I have no intention of meeting them.
“Well, having someone beautiful above you simply pleases the populace. When trying to stir up something, the favor of the common people is not to be underestimated.”
I see, when Karn says it, it carries weight.
“Anyway, putting the human world aside, I’ve been asked by the Gods to name and protect the Spirits that have fled from [Domination].”
“…Is it because you’re a Hero?”
“More like, I possess [Liberation] that counters [Domination].”
I received [Liberation] as a sort of trump card against [Domination].
[Liberty] also affects me, allowing me to revel in freedom without worrying about various constraints. At least, I think so.
“[Teleportation], [Storage], [Liberation], [Language]…? It can be confusing to get used to that personality, but does it also come with [Beauty]?”
“No, it doesn’t. I just ended up with a form that resembles a blend of several of the Gods’ appearances when I discarded my original one.”
In response to Karn’s question, I clarified that I don’t have four forms.
I suspect that both my sisters and I have bodies similar to [Dolls]. Since my sisters were supposed to die, it’s highly likely they were remade without consent when they were brought here.
The reason my magic power increases relatively easily is probably due to the direct benefits of my contract with the Spirits—wait, what does it mean to be confused by personality? Confused?!
“Since you’re always busy naming them, you just ignore the God of Fertility and the God of Storms and War when you contract with them? …But please, don’t treat them the same.”
Haulon sighed.
“Well, I’m hoping for a mutual annihilation among the Heroes, so if [Doll] is what they’re doing, that’s fine. If they’re making contracts, then it’s probably [Domination].”
I feel a bit uneasy about my sister deciding to gather Spirits. I hope it leads to their self-destruction.
“Oh, is it okay for [Doll] to consume them?”
Haulon looked at me with a slightly surprised expression.
“Because I’m not that omnipotent. I just name the Spirits that have fled and then ask the Spirits I encounter.”
I think it would have fallen apart without the Spirit Note.
Dinoss, who had been silently listening, had a subtly twitching expression, while Retze remained his usual self. Speaking of which, I had told them about the number of Spirit contracts I had. It’s even more now!
“Since we’ve formed a connection, if I get the chance, I’ll ask Es. After all, it’s where Karn’s Country will be established.”
“My feelings are quite complicated, but thank you.”
Karn expressed a strangely serious gratitude!
The next day, early morning.
Last night, Rishu had sniffed me thoroughly. Was he curious about Wanwan?
“Alright, let’s go. Is it fine if I just do what I usually do?”
“Yeah. Of course.”
Dinoss.
“I’m going to die, you know?”
“I’ll take responsibility.”
“If it comes to it, Baylis will be there too.”
Haulon and Karn reassured a worried Retze.
We’ve already come to a place far from the crowds, so it’s too late now. With that, I used [Teleportation].
“Seriously, the destination for [Teleportation] is so flexible…”
Haulon said with a hint of resignation in his voice.
We’re now near the temple where Asas was, by the riverside. Here, I discovered that the map I possess is apparently invisible to others. I’ll have to check later if the Changeling can see it. Since it’s not visible to Karn, the chances are high that it’s invisible.
“‘Excuse us. Es River Exploration Commemorative 1, 2, 3.’ [Teleportation].”
After naming the three Spirits, the map expanded quite a bit, so I moved to the edge of the expanded map.
“Oh??”
The scenery changed—though since it’s still the same riverside, there’s not much of a difference, but Dinoss exclaimed.
“‘Excuse us. Es River Exploration Commemorative 4, 5, 6, 7.’ [Teleportation].”
I moved again.
This area doesn’t change much in scenery, so I quickly named the Spirits that floated over and moved on. It seems that rumors about the Spirits circulate around places I’ve recently visited, causing them to gather, which often delays my progress.
“Seriously, this is too flexible! And why are you numbering them?!”
“I’m just greeting the Spirits in unfamiliar places.”
Just a simple “Excuse us.”
“Greeting?! You’re just reading off numbers!”
I think Haulon’s understanding of Spirit Language is a bit too limited.
