The Quake Ruler Dragon God unleashed its Inferno Breath!
A dangerous breath, reminiscent of Anima’s Heat Ray but on a much larger scale, erupted from the Dragon God’s maw. The sheer heat alone could sear human flesh, causing death before one even realized the pain. I sensed that overwhelming heat. I won’t let it happen.
Lua unleashed the Sonic Ripper!
My slash collided with the massive Heat Ray, tearing through it as if it were paper. It seemed poised to reach the Dragon God’s mouth, but in an instant, both attacks canceled each other out and vanished. While I managed to prevent the Heat Ray from striking the ground, it also meant that the Dragon God took no damage. The sound of their disappearance reverberated, shaking the remnants of buildings and the earth around us. The light alone could illuminate the entire continent. It was a clash of unimaginable energy. Even though I had given it my all, I never expected it wouldn’t reach him. I had anticipated this, but it seemed I needed to go all out, just like with Lord Daigami.
“Grrr… This power… So it’s true. You too…”
While the Dragon God muttered incomprehensible words in confusion, Kurinka turned her back to me. I quickly understood her intentions.
“Lua-chan, hop on!”
There was no time to hesitate at her offer. First of all, questioning her trust would mean I didn’t believe in Kurinka, and ultimately, I would be rejecting the fact that she had transformed into a dragon. I wasn’t sure if that was right, but at least that’s how I felt. Kurinka’s back was surprisingly comfortable. It had a dip, as if designed for someone to ride on. Perhaps it was just coincidence, but the gaps between her scales were perfectly suited for sitting.
“Hehe, I can finally repay the favor of you carrying me, Lua-chan.”
“It feels kind of strange…”
“I’m your arms and legs now, Lua-chan. Just give me a command, and I’ll do any movement you ask!”
“Then… fly us up to that guy’s head!”
“Okay!”
We ascended to the Dragon God’s head at a speed that was incomparable to our previous slow climb. Until now, I had been looking down at him, but now we were at eye level. Perhaps displeased by this, the Dragon God’s gaze became even more menacing. It took me a moment to realize that this was a skill.
The Dragon God’s fierce gaze! But it had no effect on Lua! It had no effect on Kurinka!
“Hmm, to think you would completely negate it.”
He feigned nonchalance, but I could tell he was quite irritated inside. His voice was no different from the roar of anger he had let out earlier, and I assumed he intended to finish us off with that attack. But paralysis wouldn’t work on me. Against an ordinary opponent, I would have been completely immobilized and crushed. But to think Kurinka was unaffected too. No, if I were paralyzed here, I would fall straight down.
“From your demeanor, it seems you intend to challenge me to an aerial battle! How clever! There was once a fool who tried such a thing, and I wiped them out without mercy! To think you could compete with me in the air, how laughable! This is how one fights in the skies!”
The Dragon God began to circle around us, creating a tempestuous wind with his massive body and wings. With such size, merely flying could invoke a Natural Calamity. The Dragon God was nothing but a threat to humans. His very existence left a trail of destruction. He was the embodiment of fear. Yet Kurinka flapped her wings desperately, trying to maintain her position against the raging winds.
“If we’re going to strike, it has to be there…!”
Lua unleashed the Sonic Ripper! The Quake Ruler Dragon God took 150,120 damage! HP 872,880/1,023,000
“Grrr… You’ve done it now!”
If I aimed for the base of his wings, he wouldn’t be able to fly. But as I realized how simplistic that answer was amidst this storm, I understood the consequences. If I succeeded in severing his wings, that massive body would plummet to the ground, resulting in a catastrophic disaster.
Additionally, I was clinging to Kurinka with my left hand while wielding my sword with my right. This meant I could only swing my sword with one hand. Against an opponent like him, who was on par with or even stronger than Lord Daigami, I wouldn’t be able to deal a fatal blow without using both hands.
A torrent of greenish-black blood erupted from the base of the Dragon God’s wings. But the surrounding scales began to stretch and grow, quickly sealing the wound.

“Ugh… What is that? So annoying.”
“I haven’t seen my own blood in thousands of years… That little girl… What kind of blood flows through her veins? But how about this!”
The Quake Ruler Dragon God unleashed its Inferno Breath!
Lua unleashed the Sonic Ripper!
I thought it was the same breath attack, but the circumstances were different this time. The flames torn apart by the Sonic Ripper split into two, writhing toward us like worms. Visually, it was as if a fiery tornado, filled with immense heat, chased after us.
“One more time…!”
Lua unleashed the Sonic Ripper!
This time, the fiery tornado dodged the Sonic Ripper. It twisted and turned, striking us directly from the left. Just before that, Kurinka had cast the Rainbow Barrier, but it was more dangerous than I had anticipated. It was several times hotter than when I had swum through lava in the Abyss Cave, and it was suffocating.
I remembered my father telling me that fire consumes the oxygen in the air. Even if I could withstand the flames, breathing became difficult. I had underestimated the situation.
Lua took 5,102 damage! HP 36,258/41,360
Kurinka took 71 damage! HP 15,579/16,050
“Hot! Kurinka! Are you okay?!”
“I seem fine… In fact, I might have been a bit underwhelmed.”
The flames that had enveloped Kurinka’s scales vanished as if doused with water. I see, it must be due to her transformation into a dragon that her fire resistance has increased. If she could withstand the Dragon God’s breath with almost no injuries, she could endure any other flames. Kurinka as a dragon was stronger than I had expected. No, she was too strong.
“Ho! You can repel my Inferno Breath! There was a time when I scorched the continent with this alone! Hahaha!”
“I’ve been thinking this for a while, but you’re causing too much chaos! How many lives have you taken?!”
“Do you remember the number of insects you’ve crushed until now?”
“T-This guy…!”
“To you humans, insects are insignificant creatures, just as all beings are weak to me! Therefore, the right to decide life and death is not up for discussion! If you don’t want to be crushed, then run! Hahahahahaha!”
I felt my blood boil for the first time. Not just my head, but my entire body felt like it was boiling, as if my ears were filled with hot water. Anger surged through me like a tidal wave.
Before I knew it, I was standing on Kurinka’s back, unfazed by the wind’s resistance. All I wanted was to kill that thing. There was no way I couldn’t stand in this state. I am who I am.
“Kurinka, cast Might Force and Speed Force for me. I’ll finish this in one strike.”
“Hmm? Okay…”
Kurinka cast Might Force! Kurinka cast Speed Force! Lua’s attack power and speed increased!
“Don’t be ridiculous! One strike? How arrogant! Who do you think I am? I am the Dragon God, feared since ancient times! There was a time when I ruled the land, but I grew bored! There was a time when I eradicated all life for fun, but I grew bored! Nothing in this world can satisfy me anymore! I know everything! I have lost interest in everything! I am—”
“Shut up.”
This wasn’t a Sonic Ripper that slashed or a Sonic Spear that pierced. I couldn’t afford to use too many attacks due to the strain on my body, and I didn’t want to do that if I could help it. This was a skill I had secretly contemplated for a while.
Unlike with Lord Daigami, I didn’t have any unfair skills like Absolute Divine Territory, but this Dragon God was enormous. Even if I tried the same approach as before, it probably wouldn’t deal a fatal blow, and he would just heal again. That’s why I had to finish it in one strike.
What would happen if I combined the slashing power of the Sonic Ripper with the piercing power of the Sonic Spear? A shockwave that could slice through everything while having the penetrating force of the Sonic Spear over a wide area. I believed that simply unleashing such power would create a shockwave. That’s why I named this skill as such.
“Sonic… Impact!”
Lua unleashed Sonic Impact!
Even I couldn’t see what I had unleashed. In fact, the recoil sent me flying off Kurinka’s back. For just a moment, as I was thrown into the air, I caught a glimpse of something.
Lua dealt 6,317,281 damage to the Quake Ruler Dragon God!
“Ah…!”
The Dragon God, unable even to let out a death cry, was struck at its massive center. The impact tore through its form, crushing it from within. Unable to withstand the violent shock, pieces of its body—legs, arms, and even the tip of its tail—were reduced to mere chunks of flesh, scattering like confetti in the air before raining down upon the ground.
【You have defeated the Quake Ruler Dragon God! HP 0/1,023,000】
The blood rain fell upon us as well. As I descended, I could feel Kurinka’s gaze fixed on me, her determination unwavering. In that moment, I also witnessed the Dragon God’s head, the only remnant of its once-mighty form, plummeting to the earth.
No matter how powerful the Dragon God was, it couldn’t possibly survive with just its head. I wanted to believe that, but this was the Dragon God we were talking about—a creature that had lived for countless ages. As Seigel had said, it existed on a different plane of life. What if it was still alive?
More than that, I should be worrying about whether I would survive the impact with the ground. My entire body ached so much that tears were welling up in my eyes, and I couldn’t move at all. I hadn’t anticipated such a violent recoil. Perhaps it would have been better to fight steadily without pushing myself. I shouldn’t have boasted about taking it down in one blow.
“Lua-chan! Wait! Wait for me!”
As much as I wanted to wait, my body wouldn’t respond. This was the first time I was falling from such a height that I could see the entire continent below, and I had no idea what would happen next. Would it hurt? I should have asked for healing magic before this happened.
“Lua!”
Just before I crashed into the ground, I heard Seigel’s voice.
◆ Shin Report ◆
○ Day X, Weather: Blood Rain
Today, a single Dragon God was defeated.
The Dragon God is a being so powerful that even the Demon Lord would hesitate to engage it. It is considered close to a Divine Being in terms of strength.
In ancient times, it was feared to the point of being called a god-slayer.
When the Dragon God rampaged, the Divine Beings attempted to subdue it, and the world trembled in fear.
This Dragon God, living in the age of myth, is indeed powerful, but it is not a god.
It was feared more than Natural Calamities (I tried my best to write this!) and was reluctantly revered by the people as a god, a remnant of a bygone era.
It was also known as the Divine Calamity.
Hmm, I feel like I was trying to write something monumental.
But I can’t quite remember.
Well, it’s fine. Zzz…

A colossal dragon that lies in slumber deep within Dragon’s Valley.
There are records stating that if it were to rampage, the world would perish three times over.
In ancient times, there were attempts to subdue it, but entire armies fell, nations vanished, and even Heroes were defeated.
Since then, it has been regarded as a forbidden existence, and over time, the people have forgotten about the Dragon.
