Fantasy Something – Chapter 28

Episode 28

Once I confirmed that Millie was part of the Harem Party, the rest was easy.
I just needed to quickly kidnap Millie, lock her in that room, and then the rest of the gang would come to rescue her, and I’d get beaten up appropriately, completing the event.
I don’t know what the result will be, but surely it will advance the original story in some way. If nothing happens, I can just change the date or some other condition and try again, so I can take it easy.
So, on Monday after the break, I’ll call Millie out to a deserted place after school, lie in wait, and secretly snatch her away… but then I realized something.

If I kidnap her secretly, won’t nobody notice?

In the original story, something convenient would happen to make them aware of the incident, they’d conveniently find clues, and they’d conveniently be able to rescue her. But this is reality, even if it’s modeled after a game. If I kidnap her without anyone noticing, it’ll end with nobody noticing.
Millie lives in the dormitory, so if she doesn’t come back after curfew, they’ll think it’s suspicious, and eventually a search will begin. How many hours will have passed by then? Am I just going to keep Millie locked up for that long without doing anything, waiting?
And even if a search starts, how much longer will it take to reach the Basement of that Old School Building? In the dark of night, without any clues? Impossible. It’s too unnatural to keep her locked up for so long without doing anything. More than that, it’s not fair to Millie to keep her locked up for so long.

“Geld-kun, sorry to keep you waiting… so… what did you want to talk about?”
“Ah, yeah.”

Millie, whom I had called out, had arrived. I quickly hid the kidnapping kit I had prepared behind my back.

“Um… did you tell anyone you were coming here…?”
“…No, I didn’t.”
“I see…”

Any glimmer of hope was extinguished. Now I can’t kidnap her. Which means I need another reason for calling her out to such a remote place.
It’s a small forest between the first-year school building and the Old School Building. It’s a really empty place. Its only feature is that it’s deserted and not easily seen by others.
Is there anything? A plausible reason. A reason suitable for calling her out to a place like this.

“…………”

Millie is looking down, waiting silently. I can’t keep the silence going.
What kind of business is appropriate for this situation… no, there is one. There is. A deserted place. And a young man and woman. Once I realize it, there’s something so fitting that I can’t think of anything else.

That’s right, a confession.

…Eh, am I going to confess to Millie now?
And if I look closely, Millie isn’t just looking down, she looks somewhat embarrassed and awkward… she’s definitely here expecting a confession…! Of course, this situation, and me calling her out and saying nothing. If it were anything other than a confession, I’d be surprised.

And she looks awkward…? That’s right, if I look closely, that’s the expression she has. A little troubled, a little apologetic… Millie is here to reject me…! But that’s only natural. Millie is a member of the Harem, so she’s that protagonist’s girl, and if she said yes to a confession from a lousy villain like me, I’d be surprised.

So, I’m going to make a fake confession knowing I’m going to be rejected? Certainly, that’s the quickest and easiest way to resolve things, but… no way. I’d rather make up some random lie, even if it seems a little unnatural.

“Um, the reason I called you here is…”
“Yes…”
“Um… right, you know when we met in town on Saturday?”
“Eh? …Yes, we met, but…”
“At that time, you know, you said something about a pervert or something.”
“Oh, I’m sorry. Melissa-chan said something weird, so I just…”
“Right. I wanted to clear up that misunderstanding.”
“O-Okay.”

Millie has a puzzled expression, wondering why we’re talking about this in a place like this. Of course. I’m wondering too.

“That was, you know, the day I was on fire and got soaked in water. So, I took off my clothes to dry them, and she came along.”
“On fire… ah! That happened. So, you were naked.”
“Yeah, yeah. I was trying to dry my clothes by swinging them around, and she thought I was dancing.”
“I see… Oh, so what about grabbing my foot?”
“Huh? Foot?”
“Y-Yeah.”

Come to think of it, Millie’s pervert designation was mainly because I grabbed her foot. Millie seems confused because I reacted strangely when she got to the main point. And as usual, I didn’t think about the foot thing at all.

“Foot… the foot was, well, there wasn’t any deep meaning to it…”
“…? No meaning?”
“Y-Yeah. It’s not like I wanted to grab Millie’s foot or anything.”
“Hmm…?”
“It was a coincidence. Yeah, it was a coincidence. It just happened that the foot I grabbed was Millie’s.”
“Um…? So, you wanted to grab anyone’s foot…?”
“Huh? Is that what it… sounds like…?”
“Hmm, I see… Well, can I go now? I need to get back to the dormitory soon.”
“Ah, yeah.”

I feel like I’ve become an incomprehensible foot fetishist.
And I feel like Millie despises me. I felt a distance, a wall in her heart, that I’d never felt before.
I see… she hates me…

“I guess I acted too impulsively… But, no. Yeah, let’s think this was for the best.”

Perhaps because I was careless, thinking it would all be reset anyway, I seem to have developed a habit of acting without thinking. I need to reflect on this.
And I realized something because Millie hates me. I seemed to have been charmed by that Succubus.
Even though I knew it was meaningless because I was going to kidnap her in the end, I desperately wanted to avoid being hated as much as possible.
But that’s over now. After all, she already hates me.

I’m going to become a demon. I will become a demon.
I don’t care anymore. I don’t care anymore!
In that case, I won’t bother with any more tricks.
I was thinking of checking Millie’s schedule and doing it right before… but I won’t do anything so tedious anymore. I won’t!
Prepare yourselves, Harem Party bastards…!

Having made such a tragic resolution, I spent a dark week, and then the long-awaited Saturday arrived. From early in the morning, I hid in the bushes in front of the girls’ dormitory and waited for another hour.

“Ugh…! I’m so sleepy…!”
“Were you staying up late again?”
“Good morning, everyone! Well, let’s go. I think Haruto-kun is already waiting.”

The girls from that party are gathering in front of the girls’ dormitory. It seems they’re heading towards the Boys’ Dormitory to meet up with the Harem Bastard.
I’m sorry to interrupt their fun, but all their plans for today are canceled.

“Yo, thanks for your hard work so early in the morning.”
“Hk! Geld-kun…”
“Ah, pervert! W-What do you want?”

The blonde twin-tail girl, was it Melissa? She noticed my dangerous demeanor and is slightly wary and cautious. She seems to have a pretty sharp intuition.

“Hmm, you look sleepy, so I thought I’d let you sleep.”
“Huh? …Guh! Wh…”

A light punch to the solar plexus. That’s enough for those who hunt Monsters around the Royal Capital.

“Eh? W-What are you… Gah…”

And this one was Shizura, right? Contrary to her intelligent appearance, she seems to lack quick judgment. I’ll have her sleep too, in the same way.

“G-Geld-kun…? W-What are you doing…?”

Millie is trembling with fear at her classmate’s sudden violence. It’s helpful that she’s not screaming, as that would be a bit of a hassle.

“Well, I guess this is the quickest way. Violence is the best.”
“Geld-kun… N-No…”
“Okay, good night.”

That said, I don’t want to hit Millie, so I’ll have her sleep with the Sleeping Powder I prepared. I’ll catch her before she collapses and gently lay her on the ground. Now that the suppression is over, it’s time for the kidnapping.
First, I’ll put ‘Pefu’ on the two I punched, just in case. They have an important role to play in defeating me and rescuing Millie later. They won’t wake up for a while if I leave them alone, but the Harem Bastard will probably come to check on them soon anyway. He should be able to wake them up then.

And then there’s Millie… I was so focused on becoming a demon that I forgot to bring the cotton-padded mittens. But I have to do it anyway.
First, I’ll lift her upper body and put the soft cotton bag over her. And since only her upper body is in the bag, I’ll lay her down again… l-lift her waist and put the bag over her lower body… okay, she’s all in.

Now, I’ll lift Millie, who’s in the bag… I’ll put my hands under her knees and around her shoulders. It’s the so-called princess carry.
It seems like it would be obvious that there’s someone inside the bag if I carry her like this, but I don’t care anymore. Carrying her on my shoulder would put a strain on Millie, and hugging her would shatter my reason. There’s no other way.

But fortunately, perhaps because it’s still early in the morning, there don’t seem to be any witnesses. I was going to punch and knock out anyone I saw, but I’m glad I don’t have to go to the trouble.
