“Awa, wawa. Whoa, that’s dangerous!”
I swiftly dodge the axe swung down with brute force. It wouldn’t do much damage even if it hit, but its appearance is just so ferocious and scary.
“Eeeeek!”
Next is a sword attack. Swinging such a bladed weapon at someone, is she out of her mind?
“Damn you, darting around like that!”
The woman with the axe, Shizura-san, is saying something like a boss from some game, clearly irritated. But even if she says that, I have no weapon, so all I can do is dodge.
Not having a weapon is the worst. Come to think of it, my fighting skills were basically honed against monsters, and I never really anticipated fighting someone with a weapon. I might use kicks while holding a weapon, but that’s just for support. Facing someone with a blade while unarmed is just instinctively a bad idea.
I have no idea how to handle an opponent’s bladed attacks with my bare hands. That’s all there is to it.
I could probably do a “true sword catch” against someone like her, but of course, that would leave me wide open. I need to deflect their attacks with a sword, or they’ll just keep attacking me with their numbers.
“Take this…!”
“Hawa, wawawa.”
“Damn it, this guy! How nimble!”
If I could just punch them, this would be over, but I have to get beaten up this time. I don’t have the confidence to hold back properly in this situation, so I can’t punch them, and it’s hard to parry their attacks. And being attacked with a blade while unarmed is a first for me, and it’s just plain scary. On top of that, being suddenly thrown into this situation from such an erotic mood has completely blanked my mind. Frankly, I’m very troubled.
“Both of you, step back! Haaa… ‘Mull’!”
There it is, that idiot mage. She’s throwing Fire Magic even though there’s a bookshelf behind her again.
“Kieeeeee!”
But if it’s magic, I can punch it as much as I want. This level of weak magic is easily taken care of with one punch.
“An opening! Daaaah!”
“Ouch!”
I got attacked while I was feeling good about finally attacking. How underhanded…!
“Now’s our chance! Let’s go!”
“Yeah! Let’s finish this!”
“Ada, ouch. W-wait…!”
Somehow, I’m getting ganged up on. At this rate… no, maybe it’s fine. I can’t exactly put on a heated performance now, so I might as well just lose.
“Gwaaaah!”
Just like last time, I jump towards the kitchen… wait, the Key is gone. Where is it… ah, I landed. It’s no good, I have to pretend to be unconscious.
“Alright! Are you okay, Millie-san!”
“Millie-san, were you violated!?”
“For now, her clothes are in order… Oh, this Key is…”
Ah, right, I left the Key on the bed. But this is too sloppy…
“Um, thank you, everyone. I-I’m saved.”
“Yeah, we’re glad we made it in time. If we were even a little later…!”
“It was good that Millie-san used her quick wit to drop her shoe. We wouldn’t have found our way without it.”
“Y-yeah.”
“Honestly, what a commotion since this morning… But still, what is this room?”
“Now that you mention it, I felt some kind of magic from around here… Whoa, w-what is this!?”
Oh, good. The plan was for Millie-san to push him if the protagonist didn’t approach the wall, but it seems he’s unlocked the seal on his own. Maybe he’s destined to be led there.
“Hey, Haruto-san, what did you do?”
“I didn’t do anything, I just got close.”
“This is a door? A Hidden Door?”
“I wonder what’s inside. I’m curious.”
Millie-san, you don’t need to say anything extra. What’s with that monotone…?
“Indeed… There might be treasure sleeping inside.”
“That’s right. There’s no way there’s nothing there.”
“H-hey…! Is it okay to leave that pervert behind?”
“Ah, then I’ll keep watch.”
“You were just kidnapped, what are you saying? I’ll stay too.”
“Alright, then we’ll go quickly and come right back.”
Oops. The person staying behind changed from last time. It doesn’t really matter, but… no, I don’t like Blonde Twin-tails-san being here, she’s too reckless.
So, from here, last time I knocked out the one who stayed behind, talked to Millie-san, and then pulled a mysterious man move, saying suggestive things and running away, right?
…What about this time? For some reason, I’ve become a pathetic, weak trash character who ran away pathetically and got caught and beaten up. There’s no way someone like that can suddenly exude a strong character vibe, and there’s nothing I need to tell Millie-san. Should I just run away as is…? No, that won’t do. If I do that, the incident will be reported to the school or the authorities. I need to apply pressure properly.
“Good grief…”
I mutter slowly, loud enough for Millie-san and Melissa-san to hear, and slowly stand up. Seriously, being ambushed like this has messed up my plans.
“Huh? A-are you! You’re awake already!”
Melissa-san says that and turns to face me, holding her staff. She doesn’t seem very wary, completely underestimating me.
“What? Are you going to gang up on me again while I’m unarmed? How cowardly.”
“Haa!? You’re the one who kidnapped Millie-san and tried to assault her, how dare you say that!”
“Oh? Did that happen?”
“Haaa!? W-what are you saying!”
Melissa-san is clearly confused by my outrageous denial. Millie-san is also clearly confused.
“I don’t remember doing anything like that. Right, Millie-san?”
“E-eh, um, yes. Well…”
“Kukukuku… Millie-san seems to understand properly. You can’t go against the Waslein Family without clear evidence of harm.”
Millie-san is just flustered by the conversation that wasn’t in the script, but let’s just pretend that’s the case.
“W-Waslein Family? Millie-san, don’t let him threaten you…!”
“U-um, I…”
“Kukkukukk… Don’t blame Millie-san. It’s also to protect you and your families. How admirable… Kukkukukk.”
“Wha!? Y-you’re the worst…!”
Wow, she’s glaring at me with such intensity. I feel like I’m being shot to death with her gaze alone. It’s scary, so I should get out of here quickly.
“However… Hmph, my interest is waning. Millie-san also… I thought she looked good enough to play with, but I’ve lost that interest.”
I never thought I’d live a life where I’d say my interest was waning.
While thinking about that, I leave the Basement. I mustn’t forget to retrieve the Sword.
“Hey, where do you think you’re going! I won’t let you escape!”
“What, are you planning to imprison me in a place like this? That’s not a joke when it comes to a noble.”
“Ngh!? Y-you…!”
The staff aimed at me to prevent my escape is lowered powerlessly. It seems she’s understood the difference in our positions. Millie-san will probably handle things well… probably.
“Farewell, then. Nothing happened here today. It’s in everyone’s best interest to keep it that way.”
I leave the scene, leaving behind a slightly pathetic parting line. With this, the biggest hurdle is overcome, so when the attack comes, it’ll finally be goodbye to Millie-san.
