Growth Rate Skill Maximizer – Chapter 334

Chapter 312: Storage Bag

After finishing the initial assessment, I took a seat at one of the empty tables in the Guild. Ivan would be back soon, so I decided to wait here.

“This Guild is really spacious,” Phonia remarked, her eyes darting around in wonder.

“It definitely feels like a frontline base,” I replied, sharing in her excitement.

I pulled out a bag of chips from the Dimensional Box and opened it up for everyone to snack on. Although plastic doesn’t exist in this world, tossing the wrappers into a Dimensional Box designated for trash solves any issues. I placed a juice pouch in front of Phonia, who happily inserted a straw and took a sip.

“This yogurt is delicious!”

When she first tried it, she had squeezed the pouch too hard, causing a fountain of yogurt to spray everywhere, but now she had mastered the technique. Lately, Phonia had developed a fondness for yogurt drinks.

As I sat down, I could only see Phonia’s face above the table. She stood on her chair to reach for the chips, crunching away happily.

Now, while I had the chance, I should take care of one thing.

“El, I have a question for you.”

“Hmm? What is it?”

When I reached out through Telepathic Communication, she responded in her usual tone, indicating she wasn’t in maid mode at the moment.

“I’d like to get a Storage Bag. Can you arrange it quickly?”

“Well… we might have some in the organization, but I doubt we have any unused ones.”

I couldn’t help but chuckle at El’s response. I wasn’t planning to take away what she was currently using.

“The ones you’re using are fine. I was hoping to get a new one.”

I explained Ivan’s situation, but having an extra one for Phonia wouldn’t hurt. I asked her to look for a large one that could be obtained immediately.

“Understood. I’ll contact you shortly, so please wait a moment.”

With that, El switched back to maid mode, and the communication ended. Now, I just had to wait for everyone to search for it and see what they found. I thought about trying to make one myself, but I wasn’t sure how successful I would be.

Feeling accomplished, I reached for the chips again. Yep, still delicious.

I had shared the recipe for chips with Fleur previously, so they were becoming more common even outside commercial nations. I wasn’t sure if they were available in this city, but I figured those who knew would recognize them. After all, it was just thinly sliced potatoes fried to perfection.

As I set up my smartphone on a mini tripod to take a picture of Phonia, she finished her chips and waved at the camera. She would sometimes hide under the table, but her ears would still peek out, twitching adorably.

“Oh, Ivan-nii!”

After a while, Phonia spotted Ivan returning to the Guild. She hopped off her chair and dashed toward him, a six-legged boar-like creature slung over his shoulder, but he seemed to handle it with ease.

Together, they headed to the buying counter. After a while, it seemed the initial assessment was complete, and when they rejoined us, we all returned to our base for the day.

“Welcome back,” El greeted us in her maid mode as we entered the base. It had been a while since someone had said “welcome home” to me. Excluding the Fairy Inn in Fairy Valley, which wasn’t really my home… well, El wasn’t exactly family either, so I decided not to dwell on it.

“I’m back.”

As I approached the living room from the entrance, a delicious aroma wafted through the air. It seemed El was preparing dinner, and her cooking had recently been heavily influenced by Japanese cuisine, often resembling a meal of rice with side dishes.

“I’m so hungry,” Phonia said, her stomach making cute growling sounds as she rubbed her belly.

“Well, it might be a bit early, but shall we eat?” I suggested.

“Yeah!”

After dinner and a relaxing bath, we settled into a cozy evening. The living room of our Camping House now resembled a Japanese living room, though there was still no television. Of course, it wouldn’t make sense to have one since it wouldn’t display anything.

“Alright then,” I said, feeling a bit of free time on my hands. I pulled out an ordinary-looking bag from the Dimensional Box. It was a body bag I had bought in Japan. After confirming it was empty, I took out a Magic Crystal to serve as the power source, ready to begin crafting the Storage Bag.

Using the Dimensional Box I was familiar with, I started by creating a new dimensional space. Once created, I could access that space to store and retrieve items. Essentially, I needed to create the initial dimensional space normally and then imbue the bag with Spatial Magic to access it. At least, that was the plan.

“Let’s give it a try,” I decided.

Since this was just a test, I didn’t need a large capacity. After creating a small dimensional space, I would imbue it with Spatial Magic for access.

“Alright.”

With a light heart, I executed the imbue, only for the bag to burst with a cheerful pop.

“…”

“What are you doing…?”

As I stared silently at the remnants of the bag, Ivan’s quiet comment broke the silence.
