Growth Rate Skill Maximizer – Chapter 363

Chapter 341: One Week Later

A week had passed since that day. In preparation for the Stampede in the Forest of Enchantment, troops and adventurers were steadily gathering from the Royal Capital. We were also organizing a unit to respond to the impending threat by gathering the monsters scattered throughout the various floors of the Dungeon.

To be honest, I believed that as long as we had that vicious trap in place, we could repel any intruders. If that were the case, there would be no point in letting the TYPE Series roam around the different floors. By the way, the Create Menu for monsters only allowed me to generate robots that belonged to the TYPE Series. What a pity.

In addition, I had deployed bird-type robots as scouts in the Forest of Enchantment. It was incredibly convenient since I could see the scenery they observed. Although I couldn’t share the brainwave visuals, I could view them on my tablet, so it wasn’t a problem. Lately, I had entrusted the monitoring of the monsters in the Forest of Enchantment to El.

By the way, I wasn’t sure if it was because I had become the Dungeon Master, but the robots had become smarter. They no longer charged in recklessly and could coordinate with each other.

“By the way, we can create entrances to the Dungeon freely, right?”

“It was in the Create Menu, but it’s not that free.”

“I see.”

Since there were fewer tasks to handle lately, Rio and I were sitting together in the living room, pondering various aspects of the Dungeon. I could create tablets for 100,000 DP each, so I had prepared one for El, one for Rio, and a few spares. However, only I, as the Dungeon Master, could perform Create operations. No matter how much authority I granted the other members, they could only use the items.

Creating an entrance to the Dungeon required 500,000 DP. Moreover, there seemed to be conditions regarding where it could be created; for instance, I couldn’t just create one in the middle of the Forest of Enchantment.

“It seems like it has to be in a place I recognize as my own territory…”

“Oh, so the Fairy Inn in Fairy Valley was your territory?”

“Well, it’s not my home. Maybe it’s because it’s Hinomaru’s base?”

Indeed, by chance, I had been able to set up a Dungeon entrance at the Fairy Inn, where I had visited to replenish my funds. I had initially planned to connect a small hole using Spatial Magic to introduce a Wi-Fi environment to the Fairy Inn, but I managed to run power and LAN cables into the Dungeon instead. The strongest information organization in the Otherworld that I had once fantasized about might actually come together sooner than I thought.

Since then, the Dungeon had also been expanded. I created an area that was not connected to any existing floors of the Dungeon and established a relay point that connected to the entrance I had made at the Fairy Inn. I had also created entrances at other locations. It was essential that it be in a place I recognized as my territory, and I could sense that when I stood on the land. However, I never expected to be able to create one at Hinomaru’s base in another town!

When I managed to set up the Dungeon entrance at the Fairy Inn, I noticed Mesaria-san’s eyes gleaming with a mysterious light, but by then, it was too late. When Mesaria-san said, “We need to replenish funds at other bases,” I was caught up in her plan. I was forced to teleport repeatedly using the coordinates from the smartphones I had distributed to each base, scattering funds while creating Dungeon entrances.

“Hehe, since I’m delegating everything to you, it’s hard to refuse when you ask for something.”

“Well, thanks to that, it seems we’ll gather information related to the Councilor at an incredible pace.”

Fortunately, I could also create keys that allowed access to the Dungeon entrances through the Create Menu. It was convenient since it only required possession, and even if someone held one, I could immediately tell if it was their first time entering the Dungeon, providing a decent level of security.

With the ease of movement, I had officially asked Mesaria-san to gather information related to the Councilor. Right now, many members of Hinomaru were gathering in the Royal Capital to collect information.

“Phonia has been helping El lately, hasn’t she?”

“Yes, it seems Jushiro-san has been requesting her to write various texts in Brinks Language.”

“I see.”

I had heard that she was trying to figure out the best layout for the keyboard on the computer to make typing easier. Phonia would read the Japanese texts sent by Jushiro-san, and El would carefully write them in Brinks Language and send them back.

Indeed, when I brought up the English keyboard layout on my smartphone, it was arranged in the QWERTY order, but it was quite a strange arrangement. It must be ergonomically designed for ease of typing, but deciding on such layouts seemed like it would take a lot of time.

“Oh, Master, you’re home.”

As I contemplated that I should spend some time with Nil, El popped her head into the living room.

“What’s up?”

“I received an urgent report from the Councilor Investigation Unit.”

“Oh?”

“What could it be?”

As Rio and I tilted our heads in curiosity, El, in her maid mode, delivered the report in a calm manner.

“Troops are gathering in this town for Stampede countermeasures, but it seems that among them, there is a unit tasked with capturing you, Master.”

The assembled military had set up camp on the southern side of the town walls. They were preparing to defend against the monsters that would likely attack from the gentle slope on the northern side of the town, alongside the adventurers. Amidst this, it appeared that there were some who were sneaking around this house, and it had been confirmed that they were part of the military. Additionally, it seemed that a unit investigating the Royal Capital had learned about the capture order issued against me.

“I see. Hinomaru’s information-gathering capabilities are impressive, after all.”

“I don’t think it’s a problem, but it’s best to remain vigilant just in case.”

“Got it. Thanks.”

Though it was a bit tiring, I decided to expand the range of my Presence Detection and keep it active from today onward.
