Chapter 96: The Completion of Furniture and Dresses
“Ah, it’s you guys. Your orders are all ready.”
Upon arriving at the Beldran Workshop, we were greeted not by Clay-kun, but by the workshop owner, Beldran himself.
“We’ve crafted the finest pieces for you!”
Sariana chimed in with confidence. I couldn’t help but notice the dark circles under their eyes. They really didn’t have to push themselves this hard, but it was too late to mention it now.
“Grandpa said he made something amazing!” Clay-kun boasted proudly from his mother’s arms.
“Thank you very much!”
“Hehe, I can’t wait to see it!”
“Since you can’t carry a bed all the way here, follow me a bit further inside.”
Guided by Beldran, we ventured deeper into the workshop. As we passed through the hallway and stepped into the back, the strong scent of wood filled the air. Various wooden beams were scattered about, and stacks of unprocessed lumber loomed in the back. It truly felt like a factory.
“First, here’s the dining table set.”
It was a simple yet beautifully grained dining table with a single tabletop. The patterns on the table resembled tree rings, as if it had been cut from a cross-section of wood. Four chairs accompanied the table.
“This is incredible!”
The chairs were upholstered in soft leather, promising a comfortable seating experience.
“Can I sit on it?”
“Of course! It’s your chair after all.”
With that, Rio murmured and took a seat.
“Wow!”
Her surprised exclamation caught my attention, and I couldn’t resist trying it out myself.
“Oh!”
I let out a similar sound. The seating was heavenly, and the wood of the backrest felt delightful against my skin.
“The sofa and bed are in the next workshop.”
“Wow, amazing…!”
There, a generously sized bed sat majestically. Just one glance revealed its luxurious quality. When we both lay down, it felt like we could fall asleep right then and there.
“Gel Slime really is impressive. I’ve tried various materials while crafting, but I’ve never encountered anything better than this.”
“Indeed. The sofa’s craftsmanship is perfect as well.”
Following Beldran’s lead, we sat side by side on the two-seater sofa. Yes, this too seemed like a place where one could easily doze off. This must be what they mean by a sofa that makes you lazy.
“This one is so fluffy!”
Before I knew it, Clay-kun had clung to Nil’s back. He had seemed eager to ride, so I let him, but I still thought Nil’s fur was the best.
“Haha.”
“Oh, Clay… I’m sorry, Shu-san.”
“No, no, Nil looks like he’s having fun, so it’s fine.”
“Ah, and I’ll return the leftover materials.”
After confirming our ordered items, Beldran brought out some materials from the back. However, since there were still stocks in the Dimensional Box, I honestly didn’t need them…
“No, you can keep the leftovers. You’ve had such wonderful pieces made, so it’s a token of my gratitude.”
I felt satisfied that the various materials I provided had transformed into splendid luxury furniture. I had spoken those words simply as a gesture of thanks, but Beldran’s expression suddenly darkened.
“…I see.”
He seemed to have something more to say, but after taking a deep breath, he continued.
“…Then I shall gratefully accept them.”
With that, we paid for our items and left the workshop. I should mention that we ended up needing to expand our Camping House due to the unexpectedly large amount of furniture.
“Hehe… Shuu looks so cool.”
As I stood there in a deep blue jacket adorned with gold and silver thread, paired with pure white pants, Rio blushed at the sight of me. The day after arranging our furniture, we had come to the clothing store to pick up the completed outfits.
I had tried on my outfit once, but as for Rio, she was not yet dressed in her gown.
“Aren’t you going to change, Rio?”
“Oh, um, yeah. I’ll go change now.”
Shyly, she headed toward the fitting room with a store attendant. Although it would be a different dress than the one she tried on before, I hadn’t seen it during the fitting, so I was quite excited.
After a while, the door to the fitting room slowly opened and stopped halfway. Rio peeked out from the gap.
“I’ve changed…”
She seemed to be savoring the moment as she gradually stepped out. She wore an off-shoulder, pure white dress. Delicate lace adorned various parts, and the skirt flared gently down to her ankles, looking adorable.
“It’s so… beautiful.”
I cursed my lack of vocabulary. She truly looked stunning. When I first summoned her to this world, she had seemed a bit chubby, but now she looked incredibly sleek.
“If only I had my smartphone, I could take a ton of pictures.”
“Haha, thank you.”
As I approached her, I gently cupped her cheek and exchanged a light kiss.
“Ahem. Is there anything about the outfit that concerns you?”
At that moment, the store attendant chimed in for a final confirmation. I had almost forgotten they were there. I took a moment to carefully observe both my appearance and Rio’s.
“Ah, I think everything is fine.”
“Yes, thank you. Would you like to wear it home?”
“Um, no, I’ll change back and take it with me.”
“Understood.”
The main event is the day after tomorrow. It wouldn’t do to get it dirty before then, so we changed back into our everyday clothes and exited the store.
“Thank you for your patronage!”
As we were seen off by the staff, a voice suddenly called out—
“Oh? …Aren’t you two? What a coincidence to run into you here.”
A slender man with narrow eyes appeared, looking vaguely familiar. Hmm, where had I seen him before?
