Mob Soul Reincarnation – Chapter 147

Chapter 144: D-kun

“Dee! You came, didn’t you?”
“Of course, Clau.”

I had come to the royal palace to meet Claudia. Today, for a change of pace, I’d come to the palace garden instead of Claudia’s room.

The gentle breeze feels nice.

When I sat down at a terrace seat in the center of the garden, which was arranged with artistic symmetry, Claudia didn’t sit across the table but right next to me, pressing her body against mine.

I could faintly feel Claudia’s body heat through our clothes.

It feels like Claudia engages in a lot of skinship where our skin touches.

When I looked at Claudia, she was looking up at me with a smile from within my embrace.

She’s so cute, damn it!

Normally, it would end with “She’s so cute!”, but my heart was filled with trepidation.

That’s because Cassandra was waiting behind Claudia as a maid.

Claudia and I are engaged, so it’s not like we have anything to be ashamed of in front of anyone, but being watched by Cassandra made me feel as if I were caught in the act of cheating, my heart clenching and a chill running through me.

“Geez, you usually hug me back, but you’re not going to today?”

Claudia puffed out her cheeks like a little girl.

She looked incredibly cute, but please don’t say such things loud enough for Cassandra to hear…

“Well, ahahaha…”

All I could do was laugh it off.

“Is it because Dora is watching?”
“Well, yeah… Mm-hmm.”
“Dora, please tell Dee for me too.”
“Eh!?”

What is this Princess trying to make her say!? Does she enjoy dramatic scenes that much!?

“Dee, please don’t mind me and feel free to be lovey-dovey with the Princess. That would be a feast for my eyes… I mean, it would make me happy.”
“Eh…”

I fully expected to be berated as a cheater, but instead, Cassandra ended up encouraging me. What’s going on? I can’t understand Cassandra’s way of thinking, and it’s scary.

“See, see? Dora says so too, right?”
“No, we’re outside! Show some more, you know, restraint!”
“Do you prefer a more modest woman?”

Claudia started tracing circles on my chest. It tickled and made my heart pound.

Ah, this is bad.

By the time I thought that, I was already holding Claudia tightly. When I sniffed the nape of her neck, it had a sweet, milk-like scent.

“Ahn.”

Claudia’s voice only served as a spice to fuel my excitement. My heartbeat quickened, thumping wildly.

What should I do? My switch has been completely flipped…

Even though I’m engaged to Claudia, we’re outside, and she’s the princess of this country. The maids are watching too. I absolutely cannot make a move on her.

Hang in there, my reason!

“Kuh! So precious…!”

Don’t just say that, help me, Cassandra.

After that, I managed to calm down my energetic D-kun and somehow finished the tea party with Claudia.

“Seriously, I’m really starting to hate this body…”

I was on the verge of pushing Claudia down. Why does this body get aroused so easily? It’s the worst, even interfering with my daily life.

As I walked through the royal palace, nursing these unpleasant feelings, I ran into a familiar face.

“Geh…”

It seems he noticed me too. But “Geh…” is quite the greeting.

“Yo, if it isn’t Klemens-kun. Long time no see.”
“Dietfried…”
“Why are you at the royal palace again?”
“I’m accompanying my father.”
“Heh.”
“Thanks to you, the Margrave Huebner House’s position is in pretty bad shape… I doubt we’ll be abolished, but a demotion is possible…”

So that’s why he’s at the royal palace, trying to avoid a demotion.

“Even if you tell me that… It’s your own fault, isn’t it? More importantly, you haven’t been up to no good again, have you?”
“I haven’t! The phrase ‘impeccable conduct’ was made for me. You always say that when you see me, but there’s no way I’d do anything bad, right?”
“You don’t exactly have the face of someone with impeccable conduct.”
“Isn’t that harsh? That’s seriously harsh, isn’t it?”

Perhaps because I’ve warned him every time we meet, Klemens doesn’t seem to be plotting any mischief like in the game. But no matter how you look at it, he really does have a villain’s face.

“For example, you’re not plotting to revive the Evil God or anything, are you?”
“As if I would! If I did something like that, the Margrave Huebner House would be abolished!”
“Really?”
“Why are you so suspicious…”

Well, if Klemens has become serious, I welcome it.

“Then that’s fine. See ya.”
“Haa…”

Leaving Klemens’s sigh behind me, I started walking.

“That’s right. I need to go to the jeweler’s now.”

Completely forgetting about Klemens, I remembered my original purpose.

My wedding with Claudia is next week. I need to get the rings before the ceremony. This time, I properly asked for Claudia’s ring size, so there shouldn’t be any mistakes.

There’s no ring exchange part in the wedding ceremony, so I’ll probably give it to her after we return to the mansion.

“Still, me marrying Claudia… It feels like I’ve come a really long way.”

A mere mob character like me marrying a princess. It’s kind of like Cinderella, isn’t it?
