In the midst of the ■(Box) garden.
““““Fireball!!!!!””””
The Half-Elves lined up and unleashed a barrage of Fireballs.
After launching several spells, they collapsed to the ground, seemingly drained of their magical power.
“Mika-chan, I’m going to use the power of the World Tree,” one of them said.
“Okay!”
The Spirit Core gifted by the World Tree, Mei-chan, began to glow. Water splashed forth from the void.
This was the World Tree’s Tear. Drinking this while in a state of magical exhaustion was said to increase one’s total magical power.
I glanced at the Half-Elf sprawled out in front of me.
~~~~~~
Mob Eru
【Magical Power】0/100
~~~~~~
I poured the World Tree’s Tear over him.
~~~~~~
Mob Eru
【Magical Power】150/150
~~~~~~
Indeed, his power had increased by fifty.
I proceeded to sprinkle the World Tree’s Tear over the other Half-Elves, including Luciel.
Then, we resumed our training.
BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM———!
“Whoa! I can cast more Fireballs than before!”
Mob Eru exclaimed, bouncing with excitement. Suddenly, Luciel fell over with a thud.
“Ugh… ha…”
I splashed some of the World Tree’s Tear on her.
“Are you okay?”
“Y-yeah… But this is tough.”
“Is that so?”
“When I run out of magical power, an intense headache hits me…”
It seemed that magical power and mental strength were directly connected. Depleting magical power also inflicted damage on the mind.
“Can I have another one, please?!”
The other Half-Elves, having finished their spells, turned to me, pleading for more of the Tear.
“Y-you guys… Let’s take a break. This is… pretty rough, you know…?”
Luciel stepped in for me, suggesting a break to the other Half-Elves.
“A break… you say…”
Morrigan’s glasses glinted sharply.
“We’ve only just begun training, right?! And our magical power is only two hundred…? Ha! That’s pathetic!”
“No, two hundred is actually quite—”
“Stop talking and start moving your hands!”
With a crack, Morrigan struck the ground with her whip. Wait, a whip…? Where did that come from…?
“Just as the Forest Goddess says…”
The Half-Elves, including Mob Eru, stood back up.
“This isn’t enough!”
“Yeah, we are followers of the Supreme God!”
Flames flickered in their eyes.
““Ehh…?””
Both Luciel and I were taken aback. Were these people a bit too fired up…?
“Now! Resume training! Keep casting until you drop…!”
“““Yes! Fireball!”””
They began firing off spells once more.
“Mika, leave the rest to me, Morrigan.”
“Is that alright?”
“Yes. As long as you lend me the Spirit Core, I’ll make these Half-Elves a bit more competent!”
What should I do? Morrigan does tend to go a bit overboard.
But it’s true that constantly pouring the World Tree’s Tear was a hassle.
“Alright, I’ll leave it to you.”
“I will definitely elevate these kids to a level worthy of Mika’s followers!”
“Just don’t go too far.”
“Of course! I understand!”
I had given her a warning, so it should be fine.
“Now, Mei-chan, Lisia-chan, and I will be outside.”
With a whoosh, we stepped outside. We were in the Town of Mateo.
“Mother, what shall we do now?”
“We have some time until they return, so let’s take a break and maybe do some renovations around town.”
With a whoosh, Luciel emerged from the ■(Box).
“Oh, what’s wrong, Luciel?”
“I… I can’t keep up with that person anymore…”
? What does she mean by that?
“I can’t endure Morrigan’s training. Plus, I honestly can’t keep up with the other Half-Elves…”
“Wait? Have you really been training for that long…?”
It seemed like she had just come out of the ■(Box) not too long ago…
“Was the training that tough?”
“It was… unbearable…”
When you’re tired, sweet treats are the way to go. So, I decided to buy some sweets from KAMIZON.
“Here you go. Everyone, enjoy!”
I distributed chocolate bars to the three of them.
“Wha-what is this brown slab~?”
Mei-chan held the chocolate in her hands, puzzled.
“This is chocolate.”
“Choco? Is there only a little bit?”
Then Lisia-chan smiled and chimed in.
“It’s chocolate! It’s sweet and delicious!”
“Ooh! Sweet and yummy! I’ll eat it!”
Mei-chan took a big bite, wrapper and all.
“Lisia-chan, Lisia-chan!”
“What is it, Mei-chan?”
Oh, she’s referring to Lisia-chan. It’s Lisia, with the “Ri” sound.
“It doesn’t taste good…”
“Fufu, you have to unwrap the wrapper first, then you can break it and eat it like this!”
Lisia-chan demonstrated, breaking a piece of chocolate in front of everyone.
Crunch.
“Mmm~♡ As always, sweet and delicious~♡”
I had given Lisia-chan chocolate before.
“I want to eat too! Crunch! Yummyーーーー!”
Mei-chan bounced up and down in excitement.
“Luciel, you should eat some too.”
“Very well. !? !? !? !?”
Luciel was even more shocked than the other two.
“This… delicate sweetness, I’ve never tasted anything like it in my life!”
It was true that the confectionery skills here were still quite rudimentary, so many sweets had a rather rough taste. The sugar was of low purity as well.
“I want one more!”
“Alright, here you go.”
I handed another chocolate bar to Mei-chan. She munched away without a second thought.
Meanwhile, Luciel muttered, “This is abnormal…”
“Abnormal? You mean the taste is strange?”
“No! This is something that shouldn’t be possible to create in this world!”
Oh, she’s sharp, this one.
“Also, it’s strange that food is sent from the void…!”
“Is that so?” “Really?”
The two little girls tilted their heads in confusion.
“Don’t you think it’s odd to wonder where the food is coming from?!”
“No, Mika Mother is a God, after all.”
Luciel buried her head in her hands.
“Am I the one who’s strange?!”
“No, Luciel. You’re perfectly normal. Here, have some chocolate.”
I handed her another piece.
Crunch.
“How is it?”
“It’s delicious, but it’s still strange. Where on earth does Mika Temple get this…?”
“From Japan.”
“………………Huh?”
Well, since we’re family, I thought it was okay to say it.
“Actually, I was summoned here a few years ago as a Saint from another world.”
“!? A summoned Saint…? W-what? Huh?”
Luciel’s confusion deepened.
“I know about summoned Saints, but that’s supposed to be a ritual to call a Saint… a human from another world.”
“That’s right.”
“But Mika Temple is a God…”
“That’s correct.”
“A human… can become a God in just a few years? W-what…?”
I briefly explained the circumstances from my summoning to the present.
“I-I can’t comprehend… How can a human become a God in just a few years?!”
“Who knows…?”
“Didn’t you ever wonder about it?!”
“Not particularly.”
I just found myself as a God one day.
“But I’ve heard there are examples of humans becoming Gods. The Demi-Goddess was one of them.”
“The Demi-Goddess…? Who is that?”
“Tuatha Dé.”
“W-wait, the Water Goddess Tuatha Dé?!”
The Water Goddess…? Did she have that title…?
Now that I think about it, Morrigan was referred to as the Forest Goddess.
Tuatha Dé was technically a God too, so I suppose it makes sense.
“When it comes to the Water Goddess Tuatha Dé, she was said to possess a rare talent recognized by the Gods, and she never slacked off in her training until her later years, finally achieving divine rank… that legendary Saint!?”
I’ve only ever seen her when she was drunk and stumbling around…
“Tuatha Dé was said to be a genius Saint born once every thousand years. It took her years of hard work to finally attain divinity.”
“Wow… I see…”
“Didn’t you think to use your incredible skill, Omniscient and Omnipotent (Internet), to gain knowledge?!”
“I didn’t.”
“Why not?!”
“I’m just not interested.”
“You’re wasting a treasure…!”
“Yeah, I get it.”
I don’t think I’ve fully mastered this power either.
Maybe it’s because I was originally human.
“Perhaps you should be more aware of how miraculous your existence is…?”
“Maybe. But you know, even without knowing that, I can live the life I want.”
“What kind of life does Mika Temple desire?”
“A life of leisure, spending time with my adorable fluffballs and daughters without having to work.”
What I truly desire is a slow-paced life.
“S-such a mundane person is the Supreme God who commands the Water Goddess and the Forest Goddess…?”
“Well, I do command the Supreme God too.”
“What does that even mean?!”
I revealed that the Supreme God who originally existed is now under my care as my daughter.
“I just… can’t wrap my head around this…! Who on earth are you?!”
“Just a hermit.”
“There’s no way someone like you could exist…!”
