Episode 36: Overpowering with Super Magical Power
Honestly, whether or not I’m a Demonbane Warrior is irrelevant.
If I possess Super Magical Power, that’s a good thing.
To build a paradise of love here in Ortenos, I can never have too much power to eliminate external enemies.
The only thing that concerns me is whether there exists someone with magical power exceeding mine.
Frankly, I’d rather not encounter such a person, but until I know for sure, I shouldn’t make too flashy of a move.
“Ka-HA!”
“…I thought a Hero would put up more of a fight, but is that all?”
Perhaps because the image of the battle with Barbat remains, I’m a little disappointed.
I feel uneasy about how easily he accepted the attack, but piercing the heart will kill even a Stella-Class, after all.
“…Kukuku… It was impressive that you broke my Puppet Magic, you damn noble. …But that’s all… In the face of true justice, you are powerless…!”
Aquila is bleeding from the mouth, but the fighting spirit has not left his eyes.
Is he still planning something?
I immediately pull the pipe out of Aquila’s chest and raise it to behead him.
“We, the “Twelve Valiants,” have invited a true Guide and gained new power! I’ll show you, this is the true power of a Hero!”
Aquila’s body is enveloped in a powerful light.
The next moment, an enormous amount of Magical Power overflows from Aquila’s body, and a shockwave hits.
It feels similar to my own Magical Power leakage, but a bit more out of control.
Is he planning to self-destruct?
I take a step or two back to prepare for the impact.
“AHAHAHAHA, this is the power of justice that will crush the tyranny of the nobles!”
When the light subsides, Aquila’s body has swelled several times in size with muscle, and many lines of Magical Power flow through his body.
His eyes are bloodshot, and he clearly seems to have lost his normal reasoning ability.
The “door” near his Tanden is shining brilliantly, and strange patterns like two arms are engraved around it.
(His Magical Power is swelling, what kind of trick is this?)
Even the heart I crushed earlier seems to have been repaired; this is extraordinary.
“Damn noble Sharka, I’ll show you hell!”
Aquila closes the distance in an instant.
I’m astonished by his terrifying physical ability.
Even more surprisingly, Aquila’s right arm has transformed into a sword.
“What’s with that right arm?”
“Dieeeee! You damn nobleeee!”
The sword of Aquila’s right arm, which he swung down, was thick and heavy.
I’m blown away along with the pipe, and further attacks come.
“You nobles, who are always in a position to oppress, don’t understand how much the people are suffering! Do you understand the feeling of having all the wheat you cultivated with your life on barren land stolen by you people!”
“…”
Heavy slashes filled with emotion are unleashed with every word.
It clearly surpasses the power of a normal Stella-Class.
“You who despise Dust, don’t care about the lives of the people! You only think of the people as tools to produce money! You pigs who only fatten yourselves!”
“…That’s right.”
“AHAHAHAHA! Do you understand now, that nobles are not needed in this world! The one who should truly stand above is the Hero, not the nobles! A world unified under the Guide is the way it should be!”
Aquila’s voice, as if he had taken the head of a demon, echoes.
I listen to the Hero’s words while simply deflecting his sword.
I tried to listen patiently, but the answer hasn’t changed.
“…As I thought, you, the “Hero Alliance,” are pests.”
I say what I think plainly.
“What did you say?!”
“We certainly collect taxes from the people, but it’s also for their sake. The reason they can live without fear of external enemies is none other than because the nobles rule.”
“Sophistry! Nobles are just fools who indulge in luxury!”
Aquila shouts, his already red and veined face turning even redder.
“You Heroes, who are needlessly stirring up the rule of the nobles, are the true fools. You don’t even realize that it’s worsening the position of future Heroes.”
“Shut up! That’s only because you nobles exist!”
Having been born as a noble and deciding to live as one, I’ve reached a point where I can no longer deny that way of life.
It’s not that I don’t have the desire to listen to the words of someone like Aquila, but in that case, the Heroes are in the way.
“We’re at an impasse. Well, I’m tolerant, so I’ll think about the people as much as you want after you Hero Alliance are destroyed. So, rest assured and die here.”
“Wha, what nonsense! It’s you nobles who will be destroyed!”
As expected, it seems that Heroes are destined to destroy each other.
I begin to gather enough Magical Power to bury him.
“You talk about justice and whatnot, but you are fatally lacking in vision. You probably haven’t even thought about what comes after destroying the nobles.”
“Shut uuuup!”
Of course, I have a proper vision.
A grand vision of building a paradise of love, dripping with sweetness, with my yet-to-be-seen lovely bride.
“I’ll teach you. That such counterfeit power is powerless before pure violence.”
“It’s not counterfeit! This power from the Guide is the sword of judgment to punish the nobles!”
An enormous amount of Magical Power began to concentrate on Aquila’s sword as well.
“Die! Brave Blow!”
A mass of Magical Power with enough power to kill a single Stella-Class is released.
But it’s not enough.
“Meteor Ray.”
I release an extremely thick beam of light from my right hand.
I don’t know what Aquila’s power is, but overpowering him with Super Magical Power is the optimal solution here.
The extremely thick beam of light instantly swallowed the Hero’s (Aquila’s) attack.
“Impossible! The power of justice given to me by the Guide has been defeated!”
The beam hits Aquila directly with that momentum, and his body begins to evaporate.
“Gwooooo! Damn noble Sharkaaaa! Even if you defeat meeee, the Alliance will send assassins after you and corner you. In the near future, you will definitely regret defying the Guide…”
“He’s quite persistent.”
I pour even more Magical Power into the Meteor Ray.
Aquila saw an overwhelming mass of light that completely covered his entire body.
(What tranquil and untainted Magical Power… It’s on a different level from the arrogant nobles, with clear signs of refinement… To call this violence is too inorganic and beautiful…)
With that thought as his last, Aquila was swallowed by the torrent of light and disappeared.
