“Here, a sandwich. You can eat it.”
At my words, the three young beasts began to devour the sandwich placed before them with single-minded focus.
“Hey, do you think these little ones were hungry?”
“Who knows? But I can tell you one thing.”
“What’s that?”
I observed the young beasts as they struggled to hold the sandwich down with their paws while munching away. One sandwich was enough for me, but after devouring a whole one, the young beasts still begged for more.
“These little guys are definitely eyeing the other sandwiches.”
“That just means Yun-kun’s sandwiches are delicious!”
“Is that really the case? They might just be gluttons.”
Despite my teasing, I felt pleased that these three had grown fond of me, so I offered them each another sandwich.
As a result, out of the ten sandwiches, seven were consumed by the young beasts, and we each had one, leaving just one remaining. As someone concerned about our party’s food situation, this unexpected consumption was a bit alarming. I needed to quickly devise a new food plan.
The young beasts, satisfied after their feast, sprawled out, with the puppy exposing its belly in a vulnerable display. The kitten licked its paws, savoring the scent of the sandwich until the very end, while the other one dozed off in a cute manner.
“How adorable. Come here, let’s cuddle.”
As Magi-san affectionately rubbed the puppy’s belly, it squirmed with delight.
“Let’s take a screenshot and send it to Claude and Lily.”
“Oh, I want to take a screenshot too!”
Magi-san lifted the sleepy puppy and placed it on her lap for a photo.
I also captured the scene of the three fluffy furballs looking content after their meal.
Seeing Magi-san’s joyful expression made me smile as well.
—Now, shall we move on?
“Yun-kun, Yun-kun. Is it okay to take these little ones with us? I mean, Claude just asked me to make sure we bring them back.”
“It’s part of the event, so I won’t oppose it. But first, we need to catch some fish in the river.”
“Got it. And what if these little ones get hungry again?”
“I’ll save the last sandwich for Magi-san. Please share it among the three of them.”
As we prepared to move, the puppy and kitten approached my feet, realizing from our conversation that the last sandwich was with Magi-san. They quickly made their way to her side.
“Ugh, these little ones are so straightforward,” I thought to myself.
Magi-san happily cradled the three young beasts in her arms as we walked toward the river.
“Ahh, it’s a fluffball festival! So soft and fluffy!”
“You look really happy. I might be a little envious.”
With a small chuckle, Magi-san seemed to catch my last comment, turning her gaze forward with a smile.
“Do you want to touch them? Hold them? Cuddle?”
“Uh, no, um…”
“It’s not like I’m forcing you. Come on.”
As she offered the three little ones cradled in her arms, I couldn’t help but feel a bit anxious about their precarious position…
I reached out and ended up accepting them.
“Whoa!”
Their fur was so soft and fluffy that my fingers sank into it as I held them.
For a moment, I lost myself in the delightful sensation of their fluffiness, gently stroking their necks and the backs of their ears, which made them relax even more and lean against me. Magi-san caught me laughing at their adorable antics.
By the time I realized it, she was grinning widely at me.
“P-please don’t tell anyone about this!”
“Don’t worry, it’s our little secret. So, how was it? Did it feel good?”
“I-I don’t know! More importantly, I need to go look for ingredients, so please take care of these little ones.”
Hearing the sound of water nearby, I handed the young beasts over to Magi-san and started walking toward the river.
“Alright, I’ll go look for dinner ingredients. Call me if you need anything.”
“Okay. Have a good time!”
I stowed my outerwear in my inventory and entered the river in lighter clothing.
To minimize resistance from the water, I moved with the current, grabbing onto the rocky riverbed and scanning the surroundings.
Are there any fish…?
I spotted a fish darting between the rocks and caught it barehanded.
It’s great that I can store the caught fish in my inventory. Considering the three young beasts and myself, I’d need at least fifteen fish for dinner.
I continued searching for fish while picking up stones from the riverbed. Unfortunately, there were no ores or gems, but the stones were valuable materials for me.
I surfaced every five minutes to catch my breath before diving back down. Occasionally, I glanced over at Magi-san, who was enjoying a peaceful moment with the young beasts on her lap.
By the time I finished my self-imposed quota of fifteen fish, the young beasts had completely dozed off.
“Magi-san, I’m done over here.”
“Thank you! I’m sorry for making you do all the work, Yun-kun.”
“Don’t worry about it. There are things we can do together. But first, it seems like we have something to take care of. Please pull out your weapon.”
Magi-san woke the young beasts and retrieved her weapon from her inventory. I equipped my outerwear over my still damp clothes and readied my bow. Holding my breath, I quietly aimed my bow at the source of the noise.
“Stay back, you three. Yun-kun, I know it’s a bit scary with me in front, but please support me.”
“I’m counting on you. I’ll shoot from above.”
As I nodded in agreement with Magi-san’s words, I released an arrow at the black creature that leaped down. Its long, slender legs were covered in spiky hair, and it spewed yellow powder from its mouth while its red eyes locked onto us.
The moment I laid eyes on the creature, which was known as the Spice Spider, the young beasts visibly tensed up.
“Well then, let’s do this! Here we go!”
Yun-kun was momentarily speechless at the unexpected behavior. He threw the weapon he was holding with all his might. The combined force of his strength and weight sent the weapon spinning toward the target with enough force to slice it in half. However, the spider narrowly dodged to the right, avoiding a fatal blow. Instead, the weapon severed all of one side of its legs, and the momentum drove it halfway into a tree behind the spider.
In the meantime, Magi-san, now unencumbered, dashed straight toward the spider, raising her weapon high into the air.
“Now, it’s time to finish this!”
A large hammer materialized from her inventory.
With no chance of escape, she brought the hammer crashing down onto the spider’s head with all her strength.
I couldn’t help but think how fortunate it was that this was a game where blood and guts didn’t splatter everywhere as I heard the sickening sound of impact.
“That was surprisingly quick.”
As she retrieved her thrown weapon and stowed it away in her inventory, Magi-san remarked.
“…What was that fighting style?”
“What do you mean? I just threw my weapon normally.”
She said it so casually, but I understood that ranged attacks rely on the relationship between ATK and DEX. Throwing weapons can deal more damage depending on the object, but they also require precise control. Her high DEX as a production class complemented her well-crafted weapon. It was truly a fighting style only a master weapon smith could achieve.
“Normally, you’d throw something smaller, right?”
“I don’t like dealing with small, tedious things. I intended to use a throwing weapon from the start.”
I thought throwing weapons would typically be smaller, but Magi-san threw it with both hands.
“By the way, Yun-kun, that felt too easy. I’m a bit disappointed.”
“That spider might have been a beginner-level unique monster. More importantly, there’s a treasure chest where the spider was.”
“Really? Let’s open it right away!”
I swapped out the remaining three fish and peeked over at the treasure chest that Magi-san was about to open.
“You should take this unique item, Yun-kun.”
“Um…【Sustainable Farming Seasoning Set】… It says here that the seasonings don’t diminish when used. However, it also states that they don’t restore satiety on their own.”
“This probably serves not only to enhance flavor but also to prevent satiety from dropping too quickly. In other words, it can be used strategically. It’s a convenient item that allows unlimited use of seasonings like salt, pepper, and various types of curry powder.”
“Could it be that the powder the spider was spewing was curry powder? Just like its name, the Spice Spider dropped a unique item for cooking assistance.”
“Maybe there are unique monsters that give out tents or BBQ sets for camping.”
“That’s possible. Low-level players might not have the right sense for survival, so it wouldn’t be surprising if there were items to assist them.”
As I coughed, Magi-san calmly analyzed my condition. Well, I might as well take what I can get.
“Shall we head back then? Before night falls?”
“Yeah, it’s dangerous to be out when it gets too dark.”
I returned to our campsite, cradling three fluffy Young Beasts in my arms.
On the way back, I received a screenshot from Magi-san. It was a picture of me, looking delighted while holding the Young Beasts. My face felt like it was about to burst into flames as I saw Magi-san grinning mischievously, like a child who had just pulled off a successful prank.
“M-Magi-san, when did you take this?!”
“Who knows? Yun-kun, you really are quite defenseless. Hehehe.”
“Magi-san, please don’t show that screenshot to anyone!”
“I won’t, don’t worry. You have some surprisingly cute sides, Yun-kun.”
“I’m not cute… Just forget it.”
I insisted that Magi-san keep the screenshot to herself. It was embarrassing, and if anyone else found out, they would definitely tease me mercilessly.
“Ah, finally, we’ve made it back to our base camp.”
“Yeah, it’s changed quite a bit since I last saw it. If my memory serves me right, it was just an empty lot. Now, there’s a splendid log cabin right in front of us. It’s a bit tidy, but large enough for us to stay in comfortably.”
“Magi-chi, Yun-chi, welcome back! I did my best! Look at this magnificent log cabin!”
Honestly, it was so impressive that it barely resembled a campsite anymore. This was practically a vacation home.
“Don’t praise me too much. The interior is perfectly finished too.”
Claude appeared from the door, his usual stoic expression replaced by a smile. Seeing him like this, he really was quite handsome. Damn it, comparing myself to him only deepened my insecurities.
“Now, behold! The bunk bed that Lily crafted! And look at the bedding lavishly used on the bed frame! Plus, each Young Beast has its own cozy sleeping area! What do you think?!”
Claude was unusually high-spirited, which made me feel a bit overwhelmed. Magi-san chimed in with a slightly drawn-out voice, “Wow, it really is impressive.”
The fluffy blankets and comforters looked perfect for a cozy night’s sleep. They had made the most of the small log cabin space by using a bunk bed, complete with curtains. It seemed they had taken gender considerations into account too. After all, there were four of us, and I was the only male!
Additionally, the bookshelf was stuffed with cushions, and there were three plates prepared for the Young Beasts.
This was the true skill of the finest carpenter and craftsman… Having allies like this in our survival life was incredibly reassuring.
But this was what they meant by wasting talent.
“I’ve also prepared a table and wooden dishes, so it should help with your cooking, Yun-chi.”
“Wow, this table is spacious! And the dishes are really well-made!”
I was impressed by the quality of the log cabin, and having proper dishes made me even more motivated to cook.
“Hehehe, I’ve prepared a safe and comfortable sleeping area for tonight. Now, it’s your turn!”
“Alright, time to gather our harvest.”
I laid out the edible plants, the Mafu fruits, and the fresh river fish from my Inventory, finishing with a display of magical seasoning sets.
“I think we have enough food for breakfast tomorrow, but if we run short, I’ll go hunting tonight.”
“That’s more than I expected. But it’s better to avoid night hunting. The forest is dangerous when visibility is low.”
While I understood Claude’s concerns, I had the Night Vision ability from the 【Road’s Eye】 attribute, and by combining it with 【Discovery】, I could easily track prey. My strategy was to either take them down or escape before they could ambush me. Even if a strong enemy appeared, my survival rate would be quite high with Speed Enchant and a Curse on the enemy.
If I couldn’t escape, I would just have to accept that it was bad luck.
“Nighttime is my stage. Besides, I’m a solo player by nature. No need to worry. Well, I’ll light a fire to illuminate the area before it gets too dark.”
While I could manage on my own, Magi-san and the others couldn’t afford to be without light sources like magic lights or lanterns when night fell.
Then, I remembered something I had forgotten while preparing the meal. A crucial detail—I hadn’t secured any water. Without it, I couldn’t make soup. Furthermore, I couldn’t create distilled water to dilute the concentrated Potion.
“Ah, I totally spaced on that!”
“What’s wrong, Yun-kun?”
Magi-san and the Young Beast in her arms looked at me with concern.
“I forgot the water. I’ll run and get some now.”
“Wait! It’s too dark and dangerous now. One of us should acquire the 【Water Attribute Talent】 instead.”
“But it’s only the first day. We might not even get a Sense like that. Who knows what could happen?”
While I pondered Magi-san’s suggestion, the Young Beast began to whimper. Suddenly, with a puff, a hard sound echoed from the pot.
“Huh? Water?”
“Woof!”
With each puff, five-inch chunks of ice began to fall from the air. I watched in awe as they transformed into solid water.
“Could it be… your magic?”
“Woof!”
“Wow! Amazing, Rikuru!”
Magi-san, holding the Young Beast, praised it, and the little creature wagged its tail excitedly.
“Did you name it Rikuru?”
“Oh, right! Yun-kun tamed it, so I shouldn’t have named it without permission.”
“It’s fine. I have no talent for naming anyway.”
I watched as the three of them played with their respective Young Beasts. Magi-san had the Young Beast, Claude had a Young Boar, and Lily had a Young Bird. They all seemed to be enjoying each other’s company, creating an atmosphere of mutual affection. Honestly, it felt like they had all found their partners while I was left behind.
“It’s okay. As long as they’re happy, I’ll support their happiness…”
“Ah! Yun-kun! Come back to reality!”
Feeling a bit sulky, I began preparing dinner. I placed the pot filled with water over the fire, and with a splash, I transformed the water, allowing me to cook without any issues.
“Hey! Dinner’s ready!”
As I called out, the three of them and their Young Beasts rushed over. Even though it had only been half a day, they might have already grown accustomed to decent meals compared to the bland food from NPCs.
“Tonight’s menu is grilled fish, fish ball soup, river fish with herbs, and boiled vegetables. I used a bit of fish and meat…”
I felt a bit guilty, but it was the first dinner of our journey. I planned to explore more tomorrow.
“No, this is more than enough. Maybe the fish feast will make Kutsushita happy.”
“Kutsushita?!”
I pointed to the Young Wolf eagerly waiting at the table.
“Look, its body is black, but its limbs are white. It looks like it’s wearing socks, so I named it Kutsushita.”
“That’s quite literal. Is that name really okay?”
The Young Wolf seemed delighted, wagging its tail happily. It even climbed onto Claude’s shoulder, rubbing its face against him, which was quite enviable.
“So the Young Beast is Rikuru, and the Young Wolf is Kutsushita. Has Lily named the Young Bird yet?”
“Um, not yet. But I think I’ll call it Nesias. The nickname will be Shia-chi!”
At that, Lily looked at Nesias, who bounced around joyfully.
“Wow… that surprised me. Shia-chi, it’s time for dinner!”
“Peep, peep!”
I felt like a precious bond was forming among us. Wait? That’s strange. When did the Young Beasts drift away from my side?
“This is…”
“Ah, Yun-kun. What’s wrong? Don’t look so down.”
I thought they were getting attached to me, but it turned out to be a delusion. The Young Beasts had found their rightful partners. While the other three enjoyed their meals with their companions, I couldn’t help but feel a lingering loneliness and made a silent vow to find my own partner.
“Thank you for the meal. Phew~ that was delicious, Yun-kun.”
“It was nothing special.”
After finishing my meal, I drank the water Rikuru had created to settle my stomach. As we ate, the surroundings grew dark, and it became a bit dangerous to venture out. Moreover, since no other parties had returned from outside this safe area, it felt like we had this place all to ourselves, which was quite reassuring.
It truly was delicious. I might have eaten better than in real life. The flavors were rich, and I wouldn’t gain weight no matter how much I ate. It was all good.
Claude, with a serene expression, stroked his partner after dinner. Kutsushita curled up happily, wagging its tail.
Meanwhile, Lily swayed back and forth, starting to doze off. I worried that Nesias, nestled in her hands, might get squished.
“Lily, are you okay? If you’re tired, you can go to sleep.”
“Um, yeah. I think I’ll sleep. I’m feeling a bit worn out.”
I stood up from my seat and watched as Lily made her way to the log house, her steps unsteady. Not only was Neshias in her hands, but Rikuru and Kutsushita also followed closely behind, their eyes wide with curiosity. It seemed that building this log house had unexpectedly drained her energy. Today’s unsung hero might very well be Lily.
“Lily, you really did your best.”
“Yeah. I guess the excitement of this environment took its toll. Since we can’t explore the surroundings at night, are you all going to bed already?”
“I’ll be organizing some items for a bit. I’m not too tired, so I’ll stay up until around midnight.”
“I think I’ll use the herbs we gathered today to make some potions.”
Rikuru had already prepared water in a large container, so we had the necessary water for potion-making. At the very least, I needed to dilute the concentrated potions and prepare enough for tomorrow. I suppose I’ll rest alongside Lily for now. Wake me up at midnight, will you? Even though this is a safety area with no combat, it’s better to have someone on watch just in case.
“Okay. I’ll wake you when I go to sleep.”
With that, Claude disappeared into the log house.
“Hmm. Well then, let’s get started on the night activities.”
“Indeed. And when it comes to nighttime camping, girl talk is a classic staple.”
“No, I’m a guy, you know!”
I retorted playfully at Magi-san, who wore a cheerful smile, as I continued my work. The materials for poison and status recovery potions could be converted into seeds with my Alchemy Sense, and I felt a strong urge to bring them back. The newly acquired herbs were called Kizukusa, Harishizuka, and Joukakusa.
In contrast, I also found the thick grass that caused sleep, the Hypnosis Grass, and the Confusion Grass that induced chaos. I even discovered the Cursed Grass that could inflict curses.
Just like when I made the previous status recovery potions, I mixed the herbs with the new ones to create potions. The resulting concoctions were potions for dispelling pain, confusion, and curses. I could also generate a few from the grass, but only a small quantity.
Once I had prepared the necessary number of potions for tomorrow’s activities by combining the diluted concentrated potions with the items, I noticed that Magi-san was melting down the large weapon she had brought to turn it into ingots.
“Hey, Yun-kun.”
“What is it?”
The sound of metal clanging resonated, but strangely, it wasn’t unpleasant. The rhythm of the sound reminded me of a metronome, naturally increasing the pressure in the air. I engaged in conversation with Magi-san while listening to the inviting sounds of her work.
“Yun-kun, do you need a melee weapon?”
“Why the sudden question?!”
“I thought it would be interesting since you have Cooking Sense. You could use a kitchen knife as a weapon.”
“Is there a Bow User out there fighting with a kitchen knife? A battling chef, wielding knives in both hands, ready to hunt down their prey? That sounds pretty surreal.”
“Can you even use melee weapons?”
“Alchemy doesn’t depend on the acquired senses; any weapon I can create will have an attack hitbox.”
“Seriously? Isn’t that a bit overpowered?”
“Not at all. It only has an attack hitbox; there’s no weapon damage bonus or benefit from Arts. So, I rely on the weapon’s strength for my throwing tactics.”
“Wow, that’s surprisingly interesting. But using a kitchen knife as a weapon? I can’t help but think that a flimsy kitchen knife from a cooking kit would be inferior to a throwing knife.”
“If Cooking also grants an attack hitbox to the tools you usually use, then having a melee weapon wouldn’t hurt.”
“I’ll make it for you once my weapon is ready. Hehe, I’ll craft you the finest kitchen knife.”
As she said this, she stored the ingots she had melted down and pulled out a new heavy weapon. I continued creating potions while listening to the sounds of Magi-san hammering the metal. I had gathered a variety of herbs during the day, so I added some simple processing to certain materials and ingredients.
“Ugh, I’m tired! But I’ve managed to turn everything back into ingots!”
“Thanks for your hard work. I’ve finished preparing the consumables I’ll need for tomorrow as well.”
Magi-san stretched her back, looking tired, and began rolling her shoulders.
“I’m going to make Yun-kun’s kitchen knife now.”
“Are you sure that’s okay? What about payment?”
I was concerned about my lack of funds. How much should I pay, and when? However, Magi-san waved her hand dismissively, showing no sign of worry.
“Oh, you don’t need to worry about money. You’ll realize soon enough that in this camping life, money becomes meaningless. It won’t matter during this period.”
“…That’s true. I suppose you’re right.”
There were no restrictions on holding money as a condition for participating in the event. Those who had it would likely have it, but in a place like this, shopping from NPCs or stable supplies from Production Classes would become impossible. Potions could lead to endless inflation.
“…Is it just me, or are the potions I made actually valuable?”
“Isn’t that obvious? With only a hundred item slots, having limited consumables makes it hard to face off against higher-tier or equal-level bosses. By the way, you should also consider that there’s a chance we won’t be able to repair weapons or armor for seven days.”
Magi-san spoke in a cheerful tone. It seemed that Production Classes during events were incredibly important.
Thinking about it, this camping event seemed quite unreasonable, didn’t it? I had walked around all day, but the items I could gather felt malicious. Thick grass and poisonous fruits were among them.
“Well, making a kitchen knife for you is like a reward from me. Thank you for today’s cooking. I look forward to working with you in the future. It’s also a kind of talisman.”
“Is that so? Thank you very much.”
As I accepted her gratitude, I added dried herbs and apple peels to the boiling steel and let it simmer. I poured it into cups for Magi-san and myself, just like the potions.
“Here you go.”
“Hmm? This potion smells nice.”
“It’s herbal tea. I made it with the herbs and apples I found today. I guess it counts as Cooking? Well, it’s more like a drink fee, I suppose.”
“Wow, Yun-kun, you’re really versatile. I’m glad I invited you.”
“Versatile? If taken the wrong way, it just means being a jack of all trades and master of none.”
I said this with a hint of self-reflection as I took a sip of my herbal tea.
Magi-san tilted her wooden cup, holding it with both hands, and took a quiet sip.
“It’s warm and comforting. The taste is refreshing. This must be what bliss feels like in this quiet room.”
“It is indeed peaceful. The night sky is beautiful, even in a game.”
“It’s easy to see since we’re in an open area.”
As we quietly listened to the sound of the crackling fire, I looked up at the sky and agreed with Magi-san’s words.
“Hmm. Thank you for the tea. I feel like I can keep going now.”
“Is that so? Well then, I’ll let you rest first. I’ll leave the potions I made with you.”
I had set aside three-quarters of the potions I created. The amount I personally needed wasn’t that much. For a Production Class, potions were merely a safety net.
“Thanks for everything. Well then, good night.”
“Good night.”
With that, I entered the log house. I couldn’t help but chuckle at the sight of the young beasts curled up in a small box, sleeping soundly.
“…Good night.”
I whispered quietly and climbed into the lower bunk of the bed.
The experience of lying down with a unicorn and an elf in a game was surprisingly smooth, almost anticlimactic. The weight of my thoughts lifted, and I felt relaxed. It was just like any other night’s sleep.
I must have slept for five or six hours. When I woke up, the surroundings were bathed in a faint light.
Having slept in the lower bunk, I could faintly hear the steady, rhythmic breathing from the upper bunk, realizing that Magi-san was still asleep. I quietly slipped out.
“…You’re awake.”
“Good morning, Claude. Have you been on watch this whole time?”
“When I woke up, I found you at the table, stitching leather.”
“I was working on my own production. There weren’t any issues. Staying up all night is normal for me in real life.”
“Don’t lead such an unhealthy lifestyle.”
“Ha, that’s impossible.”
Claude replied to my advice with a smirk, silently handing me a knife and a leather belt.
“This is a gift from Magi and my apology for…”
“For what?”
“…For naming the young beast without permission.”
“Is that all? I didn’t mind it.”
Saying that, I began preparing breakfast with the leftover ingredients from yesterday.
Feeling Claude’s gaze on my back, I continued the conversation.
“Are you really not bothered by it? Having your hand-tamed young beast taken away?”
“Ah, well, it would be a lie to say I’m not bothered at all. But there’s just one thing I won’t overdo.”
“What’s that?”
Claude’s voice tensed, perhaps thinking I was going to ask for something in return. How ridiculous. It’s not a demand; it’s a request.
“Let me touch the young beasts too. I want to feel their warmth.”
“…Is that all? The socks aren’t complaining, so you can admire them as you please.”
“Yeah. Thanks for that. And thanks for the belt too. I’ll try it on.”
She quickly equipped the belt and knife. The thick leather belt wrapped around her waist, threaded through the loops of her trousers. The unsheathed knife was slightly longer than the one from her cooking kit, nearly the same size as a real kitchen knife.

Both the belt and the weapon seemed like excellent gear.
She decided to test them out, gripping the knife in her hand.
As the sounds of slicing wind reached her ears from all directions, she felt confident in her ability to use it. However, she mused, “It’s just an ordinary kitchen knife. It can be used as a weapon, but it’s still just a knife.”
“Is that so? That feedback is valuable for the Production Class. I’ll make sure to relay it to Magi.”
“Well, let’s use the knife for its intended purpose.”
Using the knife, she continued preparing breakfast. Though it was her first time using it, it felt surprisingly comfortable in her hand.
“Oh, I should mention this before I forget.”
“What is it?”
“Open the menu.”
Caught off guard by the sudden command, she wondered what it meant. But upon opening the menu, she noticed a new addition to the usual screen.
[Information Bulletin]: What is this!?
A new menu had appeared out of nowhere. Was the trigger for its release the passage of time since the event began? Or had the number of retirements reached a certain threshold? The threads that had already been created were initially filled with aimless chatter but had since been organized by topic.
As she and Claude conversed, Magi and Lily, cradling a Young Beast, began to stir awake, likely roused by the sounds of their preparations. Claude started discussing their plans for the day based on the main thread of information from the bulletin.
“Since many players scattered on the first day, we’re starting to get a clearer picture of this area.”
The breakfast spread included fruits, boiled apples, seasoned greens, and salad—a healthy meal. Though low in carbohydrates, it was sufficient to restore their Satiety Level, so there were no issues in-game. The Young Beasts were also enjoying their meals.
“The overall layout consists of mountains to the north, a lake to the south, ruins to the east, and an underground dungeon to the west. In the intermediate areas, there are several safety zones populated by players actively gathering higher-level materials.”
“Hmmm. I want a tiger.”
“This breakfast is delicious. It would be perfect if we had some bread, right, Yun-kun? Can you make bread?”
“I can make it if I have the necessary ingredients. However, I don’t have the equipment to make proper bread, so I could whip up something like naan.”
Claude furrowed his brow, a vein popping at his temple. “I’m listening, but this is getting tedious.”
“Listen to me, you guys. To the north, there are materials that I, Magi, and Lily need. Meanwhile, the ingredients Yun requires, particularly the herbs, seem to be plentiful to the east or south. What do you think? Should we—”
“Should we move out together, or go solo?”
“I think I’ll head south solo. But can we really leave this log cabin unattended? We set up a watch last night, after all.”
“That’s not a problem. The ownership of the log cabin remains with Lily, so it can’t be taken. Even if it’s tampered with, we can just build another one. Right, Lily?”
“Leave the repairs, construction, and woodworking to me~. U~ne~miu~ku~”
Lily, with a Young Beast perched on her head, munched on her salad, while the Young Beast pecked at its food with a tiny beak.
“I understand that we’ll be active early and return to the pace camp. What about lunch? Should we come back once and then explore again?”
“That would be inefficient. I’ll prepare a simple bento for us.”
“Then it’s settled. While the bento is being made, let’s distribute items and prepare. We can explore the nearby areas.”
At Claude’s words, those who finished their breakfast began to move.
“Alright. I think everyone has their Potions distributed, but I’ll hand this over too.”
I pulled out the hastily made Enchant Stone.
“The keyword is Speed. This will increase your speed, so use it when you need to escape.”
“Thank you, Yun-kun.”
“I’ll make sure to use it wisely.”
“U~gh, thank you so much, Yun-chi.”
Lily finally seemed to wake up, her gaze focused and alert.
Afterward, the three of them scattered to explore the surroundings, resulting in the discovery of new ingredients. By the time everyone finished their preparations, they had created enough bento for everyone, plus a few extras, and distributed them accordingly.
“Alright, we’re off! Bye, Mom!”
