Day 11: Setup
Logged in for the 11th day.
Yesterday, I ran out of time during the preparation phase, so today’s the real deal—the actual sewing.
By the way, if I just gather all the materials and use the Sewing Skill to go, “Ta-da, it’s done!” the finer details don’t get reflected. So this time, I’m going with a method of meticulously creating parts, piece by piece, over and over.
You see, it seems like the key is how much of the Pattern you place on the workbench. If you put all the Patterns and materials on it and activate the skill, the whole process completes. But, for example, if you place the Pattern for the sleeve parts and the corresponding materials and use the skill, only the sleeve process finishes. I discovered this mechanic the other day.
And then, if you place multiple parts made that way along with all the Patterns and sew, the whole thing gets finished.
This feature is super helpful for me, since I like to go all out with various decorations.
First, I’ll start with the easier clothing parts.
For the blouse, I’ll gather tucks at the chest and line the placket with gold buttons.
The jacket will be trimmed with gold braid—that tape-like stuff used for edging—from the cuffs and collar down to the hem.
For this, I’ll use larger gold buttons. These are an OriDeza Item I bought from a player’s shop, and they have a lily crest engraving.
I fell in love at first sight and bought someone else’s OriDeza Item for the first time, but this is mostly why I’m broke. It probably accounts for about half of the material costs.
And the lining is red satin fabric.
You don’t usually see it, but it kinda gets you excited when you take it off, right? Setting aside whether a situation to take it off will even exist.
The pleated skirt is finished with very fine pleats, almost like an accordion. The length is above the knee.
I’ve added a gold ribbon at the waist, making it long enough to hang down to around the knees even when tied.
The Bicorne, which wouldn’t be an exaggeration to call the star of the show, will be decorated with the same braid and gold buttons as the jacket. Then, using a little bit of leftover 【Full Moon Rabbit Fur】 and white bird feathers, I’ll make it look all fluffy and gorgeous.
Lastly, the boots. Since I don’t have any knowledge of shoemaking, these were quite difficult for me to customize. The most I could do was change the color and parts, or adjust the length.
I really wanted to make them high heels, but there were no reference Recipes, so I’ll have to make do with standard low heels.
This was probably the only point of dissatisfaction with this outfit. Well, now that it’s finished, I don’t exactly dislike them or anything.
The materials are white leather and gold fittings, and I made them knee-high long boots.
And with that, it’s complete. I input the “Finish Crafting” command.
Then, a dialog box appeared. It’s the first time I’ve seen one like this.
“There are items that can be set up. Do you want to make them a set item?”
→ Yes
No
Huh? Huh?
Umm, so basically, because I made a coordinated outfit with Intelli-Cloth, I can group it all together as one set, something like that?
Hmm, what should I do? What are the advantages and disadvantages?
Even if I wanted to look it up, I can’t open other browsers in this state.
Aargh, I’ll just make it a set item!
When I selected “Yes,” my inventory opened up, and the hat, jacket, blouse, and skirt were selectable. I see, so it doesn’t have to be all of them; two or three items would be fine too.
The boots are excluded, probably because they’re the only part not made with Intelli-Cloth.
Since I had the chance, I selected all of them.
Finally, it seems I can name the set item. Hmm, I guess 【Female Captain Outfit Set (White)】 will do.
Looking at the details of the completed items, this is what they look like.
【Female Captain’s Jacket (White)】

【Female Captain’s Boots (White)】

Hohou, so there’s such a thing as a set bonus. It seems to be a special effect that occurs when you wear set items together.
However, items made into a set apparently have reduced effects when worn individually compared to non-set items.
I see. For people who want to enjoy various coordinations, it might actually be better not to have them as a set in some cases.
Still, why is only the jacket’s effect higher? No, more importantly, I’m curious about the 【Learnable Skill: Sure Hit】 that’s only on the Bicorne.
According to a strategy guide site, skills that can be obtained by repeatedly using or wearing specific items for a long period—those are apparently learnable skills.
Unlike other effects, this is an element that disappears once the wearer learns the skill, so it seems you can’t use a trick like having many players learn a skill from a single Item!
Even so, this means you can permanently use an ability regardless of whether you have the equipment or not.
Hoeeh, I don’t know why this Item suddenly got such an effect, but it feels like a really great deal.
So, this “Sure Hit” is…
【Sure Hit】
Active Skill. Cost: 30
Ensures a precise aim.
It feels kind of like it’s for hunters? For me, it doesn’t seem like it’ll be useful right away.
Well, it’s better to have it than not, though.
Alright, let’s equip these newly made Items right away!
Plus, I’ll also put on the black tights I bought beforehand. Tights seem to be in the weaver’s domain; it looks like I can’t make them with my skills.
By the way, the special effects of these equipped items don’t just increase the more you stack them. You can layer as many equipped items as you want, but you can only register up to five items for their special effects to activate.
Though, even if I set all the Items I just made, the boots and tights don’t have any abilities, so only four slots will be filled.
Still, thanks to the set bonus, my Concentration value has skyrocketed by +90. The value added by Items is even higher than my original stats.
Standing in front of the mirror, it’s the advent of a refreshing beautiful girl captain, dazzling in gold and pure white.
Umu. I am satisfied.
【Kima-Kura Utopia. Talk Room (Official) – Room for Discussing Tailors】

It’s the Vermilion Mantle, common across the three kingdoms.
Looks like other professions in major NPC clans have common gear too.
[Charlie]
The HQ is in Danama, right?
Does it make a difference if your branch has the master or sub-master?
[Hitei Shinai Nao]
It shouldn’t make a difference.
Well, if you’re trying to raise affection, of course, a higher encounter rate is better, though.
Avery and Celiart wander around other countries normally too.
[universe202]
So in the end, both clans and workshops are pretty much the same, huh?
[Hello]
Just join both.
[universe202]
I’m not a hardcore player or a full-time streamer, so that’s impossible, idiot.
[Hitei Shinai Nao]
You get kicked out if you don’t complete missions, after all lol
Thinking about it, I’m really envious of people with good communication skills.
Exchanging materials and crafted goods among players is the quickest way, right?
[Piano Juutai]
The problem is the catastrophically small weaver population.
They should’ve just merged them with Tailors, why did they separate them?
Merchants aside, this class being solely an intermediary is seriously unfortunate.
[Poifuryu]
No, honestly, even if they were merged, how many people would actually have the capacity to handle weaving work too?
[Charlie]
People who want to craft want to see the finished product, and people who don’t want to craft will probably go for Hunter or Gatherer, so it really feels like a “who benefits?” situation.
Unless you’re someone who really wants to do weaving-type work, you’d naturally avoid it.
[Poifuryu]
From that perspective, many player clans are probably in a tricky spot too.
The one I was in before disbanded after our only weaver bailed.
[universe202]
Disbanding just because of that? What a Trash clan.
[Hello]
That kind of thing happens quite a bit.
Business-like people will disband quickly and unfriend you immediately if their objectives aren’t met.
[Mariette]
It’s a tough world, ain’t it?
[Piano Juutai]
Huh?
If the objectives aren’t met, there’s no point to the clan, right?
That’s such a parasitic player mindset, it’s annoying.
[Charlie]
We are now being tested on our ignore skills.
[Ryuutoudabi na Tokage]
That said, Poifuryu’s comment was also questionable.
It’s not like this is an anonymous message board.
[Carne]
Thought so too.
[Charlie]
Alright, alright, shut up, shut up.
You’ll get temporarily frozen by the police AI again.
