Day 5: Gathering
Log-in Day 5
After completing the visitor event three times, I decided to go out gathering today.
As an aside, Ciel-chan has come over both yesterday and today. And each time, she wears different clothes and asks me which one I liked better, the previous one or the current one.
I always answer with my honest preference, but her reaction is always the same.
If anything has changed, it’s that today, an option like “I like them both about the same” was added to the choices.
As it happened, my opinion was also, “They were both cute yesterday and today, it’s hard to decide,” so I tried choosing that. Well, nothing particular happened, though.
Speaking of which, after Ciel-chan, Mikoto is also quite a favorite character of mine.
He’s a boy with white, pointed dog ears—I think—and he’s always grinning and smiling cheerfully. He seems kind, but he also has an air of unreliability, which makes me want to protect him~.
Well then, today I’m heading to an area called the “Hill of Silence.” This is the closest gathering point to the town, and I hear it’s also beginner-friendly.
This game also has aggressive creatures—especially fantasy creatures called Phantasmal Beasts—but the Hill of Silence has almost none of them, and even if one rarely appears, I’m told you can easily get away.
So it’s okay for me to go alone, even though I’m defenseless.
For more dangerous places, you apparently need to prepare equipment and defensive measures, or take a hunter with you.
First, I went to the central district of the town and got on a huge lifting device there. With this, I can descend to the lowest level of the city.
It wasn’t an elevator that’s like a room, but more like a lift just enclosed by a fence, so it was fun, like an amusement park ride.
People with a fear of heights would probably hate it.
Then, I passed through the south gate, and by walking along the main road, I could reach my destination. Phantasmal Beasts also appear in the field during this travel, but as long as you stick to the road, they won’t attack you, or so the townspeople said.
At a certain point, the atmosphere of the scenery and the BGM changed, and the road came to a dead end. The sound of the wind, hyuuuu, echoed around.
It seems like the Hill of Silence starts from here.
For now, different from the ordinary grass growing in abundance, I decided to try pulling out an unfamiliar plant. A message displayed: “Obtained [Healing Mint]!”
I stored it in my shoulder bag-shaped Item Box, and when I opened my inventory—
[Healing Mint]
A medicinal herb that restores [Durability] when eaten. Bitter. Main ingredient for [Life Juice].
Typical Use: Alchemy
There was such a description. It seems it really was a special Item, different from ordinary grass.
When I sniffed it, it had a refreshing scent that seemed to pass right through my nose.
Besides that, I picked whatever unusual things I could find: plants with many small white flowers, whitish grass that looked as if frost had settled on it, golden flowers, and so on.
In the end, I gathered these Items.
[Stamina Basil]
A medicinal herb that restores [Stamina] when eaten. Bitter. Main ingredient for [Stamina Drink].
Typical Use: Alchemy
[Coffee Grass]
A medicinal herb that cures [Status Ailment: Sleep] when eaten. Bitter. Main ingredient for [Awake Coffee].
Typical Use: Alchemy
[Brave Chamomile]
A medicinal herb that cures [Status Ailment: Tension] when eaten. Bitter. Main ingredient for [Smelling Salts].
Typical Use: Alchemy
[Wintermary]
A medicinal herb that cures [Status Ailment: Burn] when rubbed on the affected area. Stings badly. Main ingredient for [Cold Liqueur].
Typical Use: Alchemy
[Moon Lavender]
A medicinal herb whose squeezed liquid cures [Status Ailment: Blindness] when dripped into the eyes. Stings badly, and takes about a minute for the effect to appear. Main ingredient for [Eyedrops].
Typical Use: Alchemy
Unfortunately, I couldn’t gather anything that seemed useful for dressmaking. Since I’m not an apothecary, I probably won’t have a chance to use these Items myself.
Well, if I sell them, they should fetch some money.
There were other Items I was curious about, but my Item Box is full, so I’ll call it a day. I’ll come back tomorrow and look for a few more materials.

Takenaka
Seriously?
I was already crushed once by Black Moth, now I’m thinking of quitting this gore-game.
[Letima]
Takenaka
Why don’t you just install the child patch app already?
For 700 yen a month, you can live a peaceful Kima-Kura life.
[Takenaka]
I don’t wanna waste money on some crap app that turns all the Phantasmal Beasts into little birdies, bears, and butterflies lol
[Konoha]
I looked up what that was and seriously burst out laughing.
Conversely, I think I’d be crushed having to hunt these cutesy bears.
[Milan]
That’d be traumatizing.
It’s bad for education, isn’t it?
[Ma Yu]
Kremel is cool, isn’t he?
It’s a waste that he’s an event character.
[Sasa]
Too many events, too many things to do, I can’t keep up anymore.
And on top of that, it’s fundamentally a grinding game. I’ve lost my motivation.
[Yoshiowww]
A grinding game? What are you saying now lol
[universe202]
It’s a character game, isn’t it?
