Rogue Prince – Chapter 300

Only one day left until the release of “Incompetent Rascal Prince Wants to Survive”!
Some bookstores already have it on display!!
See the afterword for details!!!
“Hal-saaaaaan!”

Jumping up and down at the end of the robed figures, waving her hand energetically, was:

“Liliana!?”

Incredibly, it was Liliana Abbott, my companion and the heroine of “Engage Hazard ~Girls Side~.”
More importantly, what is she doing here!?

“Please wait! I’ll be right over there!”
“Wha!?”

Liliana, as if mowing down twigs, successively punches and blows away the robed figures.
Her face and demeanor seem innocent and cute, befitting a protagonist heroine, but her actions are pure violence. Her way of solving everything with violence makes her seem like the覇王 of the end of the century.

“Arrived!”
“O-oh…”

Liliana, looking bashful, came right in front of me, so I reflexively took a step back.
As always, this carnivorous heroine is overwhelmingly capable.

After all, she possesses the【Braveheart】skill, which increases all abilities and is exclusive to the protagonist heroine.

“S-so, why are you in Oodori?”
“Oh, you know, today is the Oodori Shopping District festival. Which means there are lots of meat stalls.”
“A-ah, I see…”

So, Liliana was here for the meat and happened to run into us.
Since she’s naturally drawn to meat, I should have put more thought into where to lure them out.

“So, who are these people? You were attacking them pretty hard.”
“Ah, yeah. They’re a bunch of idiots who came to attack us.”

I could explain the details about Florencia, but I should settle things here first. Liliana probably wouldn’t be interested even if I told her, but she’s already been dragged into this.

So.

“Hey.”
“Guh…!?”

After restraining all the robed figures and bringing them to the Royal Guard’s barracks, I kicked one of the robed men in the stomach.
Since they tried to hurt my Precious Thing, I have no mercy.

“Speak. Who ordered you to attack us?”
“…………………”

He’s been writhing repeatedly since earlier, probably trying to activate something to commit suicide. For some reason, it’s not activating, and he seems completely stumped.

“Just so you know, all the curses placed on you guys have been removed during the transport here.”
“””””What!?”””””

I knew it. They’re reacting predictably.
Of course, Christia used the 【Aegis Shield】so they wouldn’t die on their own from the curses Lucio cast or the ones the robed figures cast on themselves.
It’s the strongest Holy Attribute Magic, so it won’t work even against the curses of event bosses.

“Answer quickly. Who ordered you to attack us?”
“Ugh…”

Even though I asked in a low voice, the robed man only groaned slightly and still wouldn’t speak.

“Florencia-san. Do you have a curse that can make these guys talk?”
“Well…”
“Do you have it?”
“Hk!? Y-yes, I do!”

Perhaps realizing that I have no intention of backing down, Florencia answered at attention.
At this point, I can’t afford to consider her feelings anymore.

“Then please do it. Cast a curse that makes them absolutely tell us who they are, where they came from, why they attacked us, and… where Lucio is.”
“U-understood… 【Brainwash】.”

Perhaps because she realized I wasn’t going to back down, Florencia cast a curse on the robed figures.

“I’ll ask again. Who ordered you to attack us?”
“A-ah… Lucio… sama…”
“So, you guys are subordinates of this Lucio guy?”
“Y-yes…”
“So it seems. Marshal Drake.”
“Muuu…! To pull off such a stunt in the Royal Capital…!”

Marshal Drake, who was listening to the conversation with us, glared at the robed man with a demonic expression.
Normally, that intense bloodlust would make someone wet themselves, but unfortunately, the robed man is unresponsive because his mind is controlled by Florencia’s curse.

“Then next, what are Lucio’s characteristics?”
“H-his… hair color… is silver… you can tell… right away…”
“Silver, huh? That’s certainly rare.”
“Elliot! Search every inch of the Royal Capital with the entire Royal Guard right now!”
“Yes, sir!”

Vice-Commander Coleman saluted and immediately gave instructions to the members.
But… I’m sure they won’t be able to catch him.

“Prince Harold. What would you like to do with them?”
“It’s decided. I’m just going to send these guys and this Lucio fellow back to Istania. Of course, with a little something extra(・・) for disrespecting Dehaubalz.”
“Indeed.”

Since they pulled off such a stunt in the Royal Capital, they can’t just claim ignorance.
They’ll have to pay the price for failing to manage their subordinates.

“Well, is that all?”
“Leave it to me! I’ll throw them into the Dungeon, restrained so they can’t do anything!”
“I’m counting on you.”

We left the hooded figures to Marshal Drake and returned to the dorm.

And then.

“Well, I thought you’d show up.”

Late that night, I saw the man with silver eyes, Lucio, appear before me as I sat alone on a bench in the dorm courtyard, and I smirked.
