Introduction and Memorandum for Starting from Chapter 2
*This episode is a memorandum for those who want to start reading from Chapter 2, and for the author herself.
It’s because even the author herself sometimes forgets or mixes up character names.
【Worldview】
It’s the world of an Otome Game, but magic does not exist.
The civilization setting is around the end of the 19th century in the real world. It’s within a range of about 10 to 20 years before and after that. It’s not strict. There are cars. There are guns. But swords and Horses are still active. It feels like the time when civilization began to shift from manual labor to mechanical industrialization.
【Synopsis of Chapter 1】
The protagonist, Selene, realizes that this world is an Otome Game world upon her remarriage, and that Ati, her remarriage partner’s child, is the Villainess of the Otome Game.
The protagonist struggles to turn Ati into a normal beautiful girl instead of a Villainess.
She succeeds in preventing the incident that triggers Ati becoming a Villainess in advance.
While doing so, she begins to realize that the responses around her are gradually changing, and that Ati’s surroundings are starting to improve.
【Character Information】
Selene
The protagonist. The eldest daughter of an impoverished, large family of Counts. Divorced.
Now married and the Stepmother of the Villainess.
She was attacked by a Bear in the past, so she has scars all over her body.
Also, she is a physical type who cross-dressed and rampaged in Sword Tournaments before her marriage.
She has the alias “Raging Stallion of the North.”
She is struggling to turn Ati into a normal beautiful girl.
Ati
Real name: Ati Eulalia Karamanlis
The Villainess in the Otome Game. Now just a cute little girl and a Marquis’ daughter. Violet eyes and platinum blonde hair. Fluffy. Four years old. She is a quiet type who likes flowers, but she is beginning to awaken to being active due to her Stepmother’s influence.
Her real mother died when she was a baby, so she has no memory of her real mother.
Her favorite flower is Winter Daphne.
She thinks the protagonist’s cross-dressing appearance is someone named “Sergios.” But she doesn’t think about it too deeply.
Marquis Tsanis
Real name: Tsanis Theo Karamanlis
The Marquis. Ati’s father and the protagonist’s husband.
He doesn’t talk much, and he doesn’t say unnecessary or necessary things. Recently, he suddenly started clinging to the protagonist. Black hair and the same Violet eyes as Ati.
When the protagonist was cross-dressing and rampaging in the Sword Tournament, he fell in love with that man, and wanted to have contact with the dead man (and if possible, wanted a child who inherited his blood), so he married the protagonist, who is his younger sister.
He doesn’t know that the protagonist was the one who rampaged in the Sword Tournament, and he doesn’t know that his wife is cross-dressing and rampaging. He slightly thinks that the man named “Sergios” might still be alive.
Samuel
Ati’s tutor. Male. He wears a monocle and pretends to be intellectual, but he’s not really. In the Otome Game, he was a villain who plotted to seize power by making Ati a Puppet.
He thinks the protagonist’s cross-dressing appearance is another older brother of the protagonist who was kept secret from the world. (He believed it because the protagonist told him a lie.)
Maggie
One of Ati’s Nannies. The Head Nanny. A woman.
Formerly a Young Miss from a good family. Patient and a little cynical. In the Otome Game, she was a villain who made Ati fall into Codependency.
She doesn’t know the protagonist’s cross-dressing appearance, but she knows of the existence of an unidentified man named “Sergios.”
Eric
Real name: Eric Statis Andreu
A Capture Target in the Otome Game. The eldest son of a Duke. Four years old.
In the Otome Game, he is a typical prince character with a strong sense of justice and a simplistic, blonde-haired, blue-eyed personality.
He believes the lie that the protagonist made up on the spur of the moment, “Dragon Knights who protect Ati,” and is devoting himself to training every day.
He believes that the protagonist is “Sergios,” the “leader of the Dragon Knights,” without a doubt. In other words, he actually thinks the protagonist is a man.
Ilias
Real name: Ilias Lysander Theodorakis
A Capture Target in the Otome Game. The eldest son of a Marquis family who is serving as Prime Minister.
In the Otome Game, he is a frail Yandere. Currently, he is the only one who knows about the protagonist’s cross-dressing, but he has no intention of telling anyone. It seems he wants to shift his object of dependence to the protagonist.
Currently, he is Eric’s caretaker. Eleven years old. He is on the verge of being disinherited because his healthy younger brother is doted on by his parents.
Sergios
The protagonist’s deceased twin brother. He died of Illness due to his frailty.
Now, it’s the pseudonym that the protagonist uses when cross-dressing.
The protagonist rampaged in Sword Tournaments under this name, so he is famous in certain circles as a “skilled swordsman who suddenly disappeared.”
