[Urgent Bad News] 4/25 (Sat) Morning, Utsunomiya Dungeon Entry Prohibited

509: Nameless Explorer
Seriously?

510: Nameless Explorer
The general Explorer Exam was supposed to be on the 10th.
Why?

511: Nameless Explorer
Copypaste

This is an announcement from the Tochigi Explorer Association.
On 4/25 (Sat) from 9:00 AM, an A-Rank Party certification exam will be held in the Utsunomiya Dungeon, so new entry for general Explorers will be restricted.
The exam is scheduled to last until the 20th floor boss is defeated.
Once the exam is finished, the entry restriction will be lifted.
We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your cooperation.

512: Nameless Explorer
Wha-!?
An A-Rank Party!?

513: Nameless Explorer
Was there such a strong party in Tochigi Prefecture?
No, there isn’t (rhetorical).

514: Nameless Explorer
Usually, they hold exams in city center dungeons.
Doing it all the way in Tochigi means an Explorer from Tochigi Prefecture is probably the subject, but…

515: Nameless Explorer
What’s an A-Rank Party?
I’m a solo specialist, so I don’t know the system well.

516: Nameless Explorer

515
It’s a type of national qualification.
It’s for top-tier parties certified as having the ability to stably defeat A-Rank equivalent floor bosses, like Red Dragons.
There are many benefits, like free access to deep dungeon areas and eligibility to undertake high-difficulty commissioned projects from the government.

That’s what I saw on ViewTube.

517: Nameless Explorer

515
The party rank certification itself is a retrofitted system, so it’s confusing.
Originally, there was only individual Explorer ranking, like what’s written on the license.

518: Nameless Explorer

516,517
Thanks.
Why was the party system created later?
Why can’t I get into a party?

519: Nameless Explorer

518
The Explorer license rank is based on an individual’s monster subjugation ability.
Support roles tend to be undervalued, so even top-class support mages are often B-Rank or C-Rank.
In the early days of dungeons, it was thought that if you had multiple A-Rank Explorers with high combat ability and a means of healing, any dungeon would be a piece of cake.
But in reality, people died left and right.
Looking back now, it’s obvious. They neglected defense, support, and diversifying attack attributes.
Reflecting on that, the government started the party certification system and raised the importance of support roles.

The reason you can’t get into a party is either because you’re incompetent or because you have communication problems.

520: Nameless Explorer
Too blunt, lol.

521: Nameless Explorer

519
Thanks.
I only have [Spearmanship] and [Defense Magic (Fire Resistance)], and I’m not very good at talking, so I can only go solo.
I’ll keep working hard steadily.

522: Nameless Explorer

521
Are you active in Utsunomiya?
If you’re interested, why not team up with me?
I can only use [Fire Magic] that even damages allies, so honestly, your skills would be a big help.

523: Nameless Explorer
Such a kind world.

524: Nameless Explorer

522
Thanks.
I am active in Utsunomiya.
To be honest, I’d rather team up with a cute girl who can use [Healing Magic], but I guess I could compromise and try teaming up with you once.

525: Nameless Explorer

524
That’s exactly why you can’t get into a party.

526: Nameless Explorer
I want to party up with a girl, but I’ve been traumatized ever since a girl I teamed up with through a matching app ran off with my materials.

527: Nameless Explorer
A-Rank Parties are amazing, huh?
Even a single A-Rank equivalent Explorer is rare, and they have several members on par with that?
Are they really in Tochigi Prefecture?

528: Nameless Explorer
Isn’t it Ko-chan?

529: Nameless Explorer
Who’s Ko-chan?
I only watch cute girl streamer channels, so I don’t know.

530: Nameless Explorer
Ko-chan is a nationally famous person in the Explorer world.
There’s even a dedicated thread. ↓ This is a repost from there.

Ko-chan Info Summary
・Natsume Ko-chan
・Age is around college graduate.
・Uses the Tochigi Explorer Association South Branch (Lives in Tochigi Prefecture?)
・Defeated a Goblin General in the Explorer Exam.
・Reached Level 30 on his first exploration.
・Defeated a Green Dragon Variant on his first exploration.
・Has the [Spatial Transfer] skill.
・Has the [Fire Magic] skill.
・Has the [Poison Absorption] skill.
・Has a mysterious bug-catching skill (Can learn bug skills?)
・Can attack using bugs (Slightly graphic, search with caution).
・Is dating Tama-chan (cute) from the South Branch.

531: Nameless Explorer
Too OP, go explode.

532: Nameless Explorer
Haven’t seen Ko-chan since then.
Where is he and what’s he doing?
He’s such a genius, so he’s probably been scouted by the government or famous parties.

533: Nameless Explorer
This upcoming exam, isn’t it just a setup to integrate Ko-chan into an existing A-Rank Party?
An existing party would definitely be A-Rank, and if he’s in a support mage role, it’s okay even if his level is a bit low.

534: Nameless Explorer
True.
It wouldn’t be strange if the government set him up with an existing party.
There are benefits for the government, tons of Explorers would want to team up with Ko-chan, and Ko-chan himself could get stronger by experiencing deeper floors.

535: Nameless Explorer
Eh, wait.
In that case, what about Tama-chan who was in the Ota stream?

536: Nameless Explorer

535
She’ll be cut loose, right?
She’s around C~B-Rank solo.
She’s not a match for Ko-chan.

537: Nameless Explorer

536
I’m a girl, but if he ditches Tama-chan, I’ll never forgive him.
In the Ota Dungeon stream video, she had the eyes of a maiden in love.
A man who betrays that girl isn’t a man.

538: Nameless Explorer

537
I’m a guy, but if Ko-chan and Tama-chan become an A-Rank Party together, I’ll never forgive them.
If they get to be all lovey-dovey with a cute girl AND both become super strong, there’ll be no place for me.
If Ko-chan joins a party of three old guys, I’ll support him.

539: Nameless Explorer
Surprisingly, it might be a party of three girls and Ko-chan that becomes A-Rank.
Ko-chan might just do something like that.

540: Nameless Explorer
Well, it’s all just speculation.
When an A-Rank Party registers, the Dungeon Management Bureau will make an announcement, so let’s check our answers then.

541: Nameless Explorer
Ko-chan is Tochigi Prefecture’s star, after all.
Whether he’s A-Rank or not, I want him to get used to dungeons quickly and explore a lot within the prefecture.
If he sells materials to the Association, we local Explorers can also benefit from the leftovers.
I’m cheering for him.

542: Nameless Explorer
I saw the Ota stream video, and Ko-chan and Tama-chan looked like they were having so much fun exploring.
I wish I could have joined the same party.
