Afterword
Thank you so very much for reading this work.
I started writing this on a whim, based on an idea that came to me, and I was delighted that far more people read it than I had anticipated. I also received many comments, which encouraged me to post daily.
I was able to weave the story all the way to the ending I had envisioned, and depict Hayato and Riri’s new beginning.
I also considered other developments, such as Hayato’s ex-girlfriend who broke up with him getting involved, the company that fired him trying to pressure him to leverage his connection with the Tetsumura Group, or problems arising from slander by extremist fans of his streaming activities, which would have made for a more dramatic story. However, I was aiming for a peaceful and calm atmosphere with as little intense stimulation as possible, so I kept the more dramatic events mostly to the beginning.
Regarding the “blind love” element mentioned in the title, much was left to the readers’ imagination, but I believe the depth of Hayato and his companions’ bond was conveyed.
There are also things I reflect on, like developments I wrote on impulse, inspired by videos I was watching, which perhaps I should have fleshed out the settings for more in advance. Since I was writing purely on impulse and momentum, there might have been some parts that felt a bit forced.
Regarding his companions, I slightly regret not being able to write more scenes where Celestia / Morishita Seika and Garret / Tetsumura Gou played active roles.
Seika, who was formerly an elf, had her desire for marriage considerably wane after reincarnating as a human. She couldn’t see modern men as potential romantic partners. Even after becoming human, that feeling didn’t change. The only exception was that Hero Hayato alone had the potential to be a romantic interest for her—
I had considered settings like that, but in the end, the story concluded without them being used.
It’s entirely thanks to everyone’s support that I was able to continue writing until the very end without stopping. Receiving comments immediately after posting was especially encouraging. Thank you very much.
I hope to use this experience to work hard on my next project.
I’d like to write a new work when another idea comes to me. For a while, I think I’ll be entering a period of looking back on and revising my previous works.
Well then, once again, thank you so very much for reading this work. I’ve written various other works, so please do check them out.
