The main story is complete, so this will be the afterword.
The Adventurer Party “Rainbow Sword” –.
They are one of the leading Rank 5 parties in the Kingdom of Claydale, a major power on the Searth Continent, boasting a tradition of over a century and the highest success rate in completing requests in the kingdom.
The best and strongest –. However, the reputation cultivated over those long years was now about to become a new “legend” thanks to a certain girl.
“Gyygaaaaaaaaah!!”
A wyvern, dancing in the sky, bared its fangs and roared menacingly.
The Rainbow Sword received a request to investigate and exterminate a flock of wyverns that had appeared in the Monster Habitat north of the kingdom and were approaching the kingdom’s territory.
However, the information was delayed, and the flock of wyverns had already moved in search of a feeding ground. The Rainbow Sword hurriedly caught up with the flock heading towards the nearest town and began fighting just before they reached it.
“Don’t let a single one of them get to the town!”
At the voice of the leader, Dolton, the party members began to act. There were six wyverns, and the town was only a short distance away.
“–‘Spirits of the Wind’–”
The Spirit Magician, Mira, cast “Wind Barrier” and simultaneously created a “Hurricane” that engulfed several wyverns.
“Gyygyaaaaaah!”
The engulfed wyverns lost speed and began to fall.
Even if they weren’t as strong as Earth Dragons, the sturdy scales of the wyverns couldn’t be cut by the blades of wind. However, if their vision was blocked, they would lose their sense of direction, and if their speed decreased, their wings wouldn’t be strong enough to support their own weight.
Even so, Mira, having used advanced magic twice, couldn’t use magic for a while. One of the falling wyverns, filled with anger, charged towards them.
“I won’t let you!”
Dolton, clad in full Mithril armor, stood in front of the wyvern.
It was a giant, five meters in length. Even if its skeleton was lightened for flight, it would receive an impact like being hit head-on by a cannon. But —
“Uooooooooh!”
Dolton, a Rank 5 Heavy Warrior, stopped it.
“Uoryaaaah!”
From right next to him, Jesha, also a mountain dwarf, slammed her Magic Steel Two-Handed Axe into the wyvern’s neck, severing its long, snake-like head.
“Gyygaaaaaaaaah!!”
The wyvern completely recognized them as enemies. The two fallen wyverns used their legs to kill the impact just before hitting the ground, and approached with a speed like a bird running.
In response, the giant swordsman — Feld — leaped out and swung the black Greatsword on his back.
“Taaaaaaah!”
The Greatsword made from the horns of a Dark Dragon, combined with Feld’s skill, tore through the scales of the pseudo-dragon like scraps of wood.
“Giggaaaaah!”
At the same time, another wyvern swung its fangs at Feld. But at that moment, Dolton, who had rushed over, swung his Mithril Halberd, crushing the wyvern’s mouth and brain as if slipping past Feld’s side.
The wyvern still in the sky scattered venom from the poisonous needles on its tail. But it was blocked by the Wind Barrier.
Unlike Mystic Beast species like Earth Dragons or Elemental Dragons, pseudo-dragons cannot use breath attacks. When the wyvern showed a slight sign of fear at being unable to attack the ground and at the attack power of the humans on the ground, at that moment, a small figure fluttered above the wyvern’s head, her black skirt fluttering.
Pinkish-gold hair shimmering in the sunlight. A black leather dress fluttering like a monstrous bird. And above all, the wyvern bared its fangs as if frightened by the girl’s — Aria’s — murderous, cold eyes.
“Hah!”
Without flinching or fearing, the girl exhaled lightly, and her Black Dagger pierced both of the wyvern’s eyes.
The wyvern, having lost its sight, lost speed and fell. But from behind it, another wyvern, filled with anger, turned around as if spinning, and slammed the poisonous needles on its tail into the girl.
Hyun!
At that moment, the arrow released by Mira, who had recovered, grazed the wyvern’s face, and Aria, who had jumped out as if waiting for it, swung the Knife and Dagger made from “Dark Dragon Fang” towards the wyvern, which had stopped moving for a moment.
“–【Dancing Ripper】–”
The fangs of the Elemental Dragon didn’t care about the scales of the pseudo-dragon, and the wyvern, whose wings and face were slashed, screamed and fell.
Seeing that, the last wyvern lost its will to fight and fled. But in that direction was the town.
The soldiers who had noticed them from the watchtower on the outer wall fired arrows, but it was difficult to hit an object flying at high speed in the sky, and even if they did hit, arrows from low-level archers wouldn’t be able to pierce the wyvern’s scales.
The faces of the soldiers twisted at the giant body of the wyvern coming straight towards them. But there… in front of the outer wall surrounding the town, there was a single “girl.”
“–【Chase Lightning】–“
A flash of light. Multiple Digvolts released from the girl shot through the wyvern’s wings, and the wyvern lost its balance.
However, the wyvern, flying in with inertia even without the thrust of its wings, didn’t stop. If this continued, the town would be damaged — at the moment it was thought so, a White Girl gently stepped forward.
Wearing a pure white robe with the hood pulled down low, shaking her wavy pure white hair, the girl held out both hands as if blocking the wyvern.
“–【Ice Whip】–“
How much Mana was contained within it? A vast amount of icy thorns created around the White Girl entangled the wyvern, instantly turning it into an ice object, and shattered the frozen wyvern.
Cheers erupted from the town’s soldiers.
In the fantastic world where ice scattered like dust, the White Girl shook her white hair as if smiling while walking.
Rank 5 Adventurer Party “Rainbow Sword.”
Its reputation was about to change from tradition to “legend” thanks to two girls.
One is the Dragon Slayer, the Pink-Haired Girl, the “Ash-Covered Princess,” the “Iron Rose Princess” –.
And —
The newly joined Rank 5 Magician… no one knows her real name. However, from her pure white attire and hair, people called her “Snow White.”
I would like to proceed with the afterword at a pace of about once a month.
