Bachelor’s Isekai Reincarnation – Chapter 67

Chapter 67

“Actually, I’d like to place a new order and request some specification changes for some of the equipment. Could you call the master for me?”

The master himself was in the middle of working, taking the lead in handling requested jobs, but since this was about work, the shop assistant headed to the workshop to call him.

Dripping with sweat all over, the master arrived quickly.

“Master. Sorry to bother you while you’re working.”

“Not at all. A visit from Claude-sama is always most welcome. Besides, this is about work, isn’t it?”

“I’d like you to make armor from this Earth Dragon Scale for the Prominence Knights, and I’d also like to request several Orichalcum weapons.”

“Dragon-type scales, you say? My, you’ve brought quite the incredible item this time. For the weapons, will swords and spears be alright?”

Claude, thinking of the knights who skillfully wielded special equipment like axes and maces, listed out the detailed specifications.

“I see. The Prominence Knights do have members who use unique equipment, don’t they? These are for them, then? Understood.”

“Well, I shouldn’t overstay my welcome, so I’ll be taking my leave. Thank you for your time, especially when you’re so busy.”

“Not at all. We look forward to your next visit.”

After confirming Claude had left, the shop assistant spoke to the master.

“Master. I know you pretty much had to accept it, but are you going to be alright?”

“Once I accept a job, I see it through. Besides, being entrusted with materials like these is a blacksmith’s greatest honor.”

The materials Claude had brought were all things one wouldn’t even be able to touch under normal circumstances.

The master was enjoying this situation.

The other craftsmen were much the same.

“It’s good that you seem to be enjoying it, but please make sure you don’t ruin your health.”

“You don’t need to tell me, but I’ve certainly been overdoing it lately. My apologies, but could you put together a rest schedule for us?”

“Understood. I’ll check everyone’s fatigue levels and draw one up properly.”

“I’m counting on you.”

The shop assistant sighed as he watched the master return to the workshop.

Having returned to the mansion, Claude decided to read and had come back to his own room.

What he took out was a magic-related book he had obtained when he went to the Royal Capital.

He didn’t just read the book; he also compiled his own interpretations onto paper.

“Hmm, hmm. So this part becomes like this, and then it turns into that, huh? But this is different from what’s in this other book. I might need to verify this, perhaps?”

He simultaneously jotted down questions, contradictions, and other things he wanted to experiment with.

Once he had organized them to some extent, the next step was experimentation at the training grounds.

While looking at the papers he had compiled, he would verify various things and record the results.

It was tedious work, but it was precisely this kind of accumulation that led to advanced magical skill.
