As I moved through the forest, I kicked a rolling stone to the side.
I wish I could get rid of the irritation in my heart as easily as that.
But I couldn’t, and I was just going around and around in my head, thinking about useless things.

It’s pointless to waste my thoughts on those moronic, idiotic, brain-dead, single-celled organisms!

Just as I thought that, a question suddenly popped up.
Didn’t my thoughts just now feel like I wasn’t a Slime?
I’m a Slime too… no, I’m a human, right!?
Once I noticed one thing, a series of memories came flooding back.
Why hadn’t I realized it until now?
I had hands and feet, my body was much bigger, and I didn’t use that crazy language with only “Su” and “Ra” sounds.

“Okay, okay, let’s calm down and organize what I know. Maybe then I can figure out the cause.”
I muttered to myself, trying to calm down, and began to organize my memories.
First, from when I was human.
I lived in a country called Japan. The era was the 21st century.
My name was Fuetou Kouya. Not some random name like Sura-suke.
I was going to school, and on my way home, a car crashed onto the sidewalk—and then I have no memory after that.
“Is this what they call reincarnation…?”
I must have been reincarnated since I died and was reborn, but unfortunately, I had lost my memories until just now.
Also, my memories from when I was first born as a Slime are hazy.
I can’t tell if I was reincarnated along the cycle of reincarnation, if I was modified into a Slime body by a mysterious secret society, or if it was for some completely different reason.
“…Well, for now, it’s more important to figure out how to survive.”
I cut off my thoughts since I was at a dead end.

My Stats are still as skewed as ever.
Everything else is so weak it’s painful to look at, but only my 〖Toughness〗 is outstanding.
Well, thanks to that, I’ve been able to get by without a single injury so far.
My Skills haven’t changed either.
I got 〖Cover〗 and 〖Throwing〗 while protecting my companions and practicing throwing stones.
But, in a situation where I don’t have any companions, 〖Cover〗, which expands the range of defense, is meaningless, and with my attack power, 〖Throwing〗 isn’t an effective attack.
This is troubling. 〖Dissolving Liquid〗 isn’t very useful in combat either, so I should avoid fighting… huh? What’s this 【Unique Skill】?
