Black Steel King – Chapter 427

Episode 422: Clash of Light and Darkness

Akito watched Yuma glaring at the [White King].

He’s completely lost his cool. If he fights like this, Yuma will definitely lose. I have to prevent that at all costs!

Akito endured the intense pain, leaned forward, and shouted at the top of his lungs.

“No! Yuma, attacks don’t work on that guy!!”

A desperate plea. If they could get Yuma to escape, there was still hope. They might be able to find a way to counter him.

That’s what Akito thought, but Yuma kicked off the ground without retreating.

He’s too worked up; he can’t hear me.

“Damn…”

Akito wanted to stop Yuma from attacking the [White King]. But his voice wouldn’t reach him.

He reached out with his left hand and shouted again—the moment he did, something unbelievable happened.

Yuma’s fist, accelerated by the Bloodstained Ore (Bloody Ore), slammed into the White King’s face.

The angel spun as it was sent flying. Yuma kicked off the ground and pursued. The White King somehow managed to brace himself and counterattacked.

He swung the swords in both hands, but the moment they touched Yuma’s body, the swords shattered into pieces.

Only light glittered and scattered, and Yuma didn’t seem to take any damage.

The White King seemed surprised and stopped moving for a moment. Yuma wasn’t foolish enough to miss that.

He slammed a left roundhouse kick into the angel’s torso. The angel was sent flying again, rolling across the ground.

Unable to believe the scene before him, Akito turned his gaze to Rui, who was lying on the ground.

Rui also had his eyes wide open in disbelief.

“Why…? Why is Yuma’s attack the only one that works!? Isn’t the White King supposed to slip through all attacks?”

There were no answers. The only thing certain was that the White King was helpless against Yuma.

Akito grimaced and opened his mouth.

“Go, Yuma… Goooo!!”

◇◇◇

Yuma looked down at the angel collapsing before him.

It certainly emitted a tremendous amount of Mana and moved quite fast, but it didn’t seem particularly strong. Is this really the [White King]?

As Yuma took a step forward, the angel stood up and created Swords of Light in both hands.

Yuma also readied his fists. The two monsters glared at each other from a distance of about five meters.

The angel’s body swayed. The next moment—the angel’s figure disappeared.

This was the same movement as the six-winged angel. Does that mean it can move at lightspeed? Yuma remained still, paying attention to his surroundings. Yuma could grasp the opponent’s movements through sound and presence.

The moment the air shifted slightly, Yuma took a step back and threw a backfist directly behind him.

The angel, whose face was struck by the fist, retreated involuntarily. Yuma immediately turned around and slammed a low kick into his opponent.

The angel lost his balance. It seemed he couldn’t use lightspeed movement continuously.

Yuma stepped in and unleashed a right Seiken Zuki (Straight Punch). He channeled Fire Magical Power into his fist and punched the angel’s face.

The fist that had sunk into his face exploded, blowing the angel’s head off. The angel, having lost his head, took a step back, then another, but regenerated his head in an instant.

“Oh… as expected, the Regeneration is amazing.”

The angel slashed at him with the Swords of Light in both hands. Yuma also transformed his right arm into a Sword and tried to block the Sword of Light.

The moment the swords collided, the Sword of Light shattered.

Yuma stepped in and slashed upwards with his sword.

He sliced off the angel’s left arm, and with a return swing, he cut off the angel’s right arm. The angel looked surprised, but immediately regenerated both arms, created swords, and came at him.

Emotionless, robotic movements. Yuma took a step back and readied his sword.

This monster’s strength is far from this! His instincts told him so.

The angel stopped moving and held his swords forward. Then, a Ring of Light was created behind the angel. Along that ring, eight large Swords of Light were generated.

As the angel waved the Swords of Light like a baton, the eight swords behind him flew out all at once.

“Is this also Light Magic!”

Yuma struck down the ‘swords’ flying at terrifying speed with the sword in his right hand. When the swords collided, the Swords of Light shattered into pieces.

There were seven more swords flying through the air.

Yuma slashed them down repeatedly, but the Swords of Light changed their trajectory in mid-air, and some pierced Yuma’s body. But—

“Useless, useless! Light Magic doesn’t work on my body!!”

The Swords of Light that hit Yuma’s body shattered and turned into particles.

—As expected, it’s not much of a magic!

He swung his sword and struck down the remaining swords. All eight Swords of Light were shattered, and the Ring of Light behind the angel disappeared.

He would press the attack now! Thinking so, Yuma charged at the angel.

Then, the angel extinguished the swords in his hands and pointed both palms at Yuma. Both hands glowed, and a massive White Flash assaulted Yuma.

The Light Magic of the Fourth Stratum—Yuma was pushed back by the tremendous pressure and couldn’t move forward.

“Damn!”

Yuma guarded his face with both arms, barely managing to stand his ground. This was the most intense White Flash he had ever experienced.

This angel’s Magical Power must be extraordinary. Even so—

Yuma channeled Wind Magical Power throughout his body in addition to the Bloodstained Ore (Bloody Ore). When the light weakened, he burst forward.

The angel, caught off guard, stopped moving. It seemed he couldn’t use Lightspeed Movement after using magic.

Yuma pulled back his right fist and stepped forward with his left foot.

He gathered Lightning Magical Power in his right arm and unleashed a full-force Seiken Zuki (Straight Punch). The fist pierced through the angel’s abdomen, and a tremendous Lightning was released.

As Yuma swung his fist through, the angel’s body was torn apart, separating the upper and lower halves.
