Day 13: Revolution Event (Part 1)
Login Day 13
Today, I decided to stop by the Royal Library to look for Recipes & Skills again.
When I did, the person at the reception desk wasn’t the usual Emilia-san. It was a handsome man with glasses and large black wings.
He was frowning, flipping through a thick tome.
And when I tried to speak to him, a message like this appeared.
You are about to trigger a Revolution Event. Is this okay?
→・Yes
・No
‘Revolution Event’…? That sounds like something major, but for now, yes.
Recording for a public video will now begin. Would you like to use a dummy avatar?
→・Yes
・No
A public video… you say…?
Eh, no, surely not. It can’t be a system where my video is automatically and forcibly made public, right?
I don’t really get it, but the only choice I have right now is to answer yes or no to this question.
Dummy… a fake avatar? Like, something that can hide my appearance with a stand-in while the video is being recorded?
…Just in case, I’ll choose ‘Yes’.
With that, the dialog disappeared, and the man with glasses looked up from his book. His name seemed to be Giltoa.
“You’re a library user, I presume. Show me your Admission Permit.”
It didn’t seem like a major incident or a huge disaster was about to happen suddenly. I let out a sigh of relief, but then, Giltoa’s hand, which was typing something into a device, suddenly stopped.
“Hm? This number is…”
He shot up from his seat and, reaching over the counter, grabbed my arm.
“You… where did you get this…!?”
Faced with his ghastly pale, menacing expression, all I could do was freeze.
“This ID belongs to our comrade, our lost friend, Magdala… It’s the first number I gave her when the library was founded… This isn’t your card. Is it!? Why do you have it! Depending on your answer… no, whatever your reason, I won’t let you leave unscathed! Forging a Permit is a serious crime, and what you’re doing is an insult to my dear friend!!”
Eh, ehh? This Permit, it was used by Magdala herself? And she sold it? And that act constitutes forgery?
I didn’t know anything about that! I’m the victim here!
Even though I thought that, his intensity was overwhelming, and my throat wouldn’t work properly. Fortunately, though, this is a game, and it seemed like the scenario would proceed even if I didn’t speak.
“What…? You received this from Magdala herself, you say?”
Muttering, Giltoa loosened his grip on my arm.
“Could it be that Magdala is… alive…? No, wait, I won’t be fooled. Show me proof.”
“E-Even if you say that…”
At this point, I finally started to relax enough to enjoy this event.
There were no other players around. Realizing I had transitioned into a solo event mode, I gradually regained my composure.
There’s no worry about anyone overhearing me, so for once, I’ll indulge in feeling like the protagonist of a story.
“What did she look like?”
“Ehh? I don’t really remember much… The masquerade-like mask and her hoarse voice made too strong of an impression…”
Giltoa fell silent. Perhaps my description matched the image he had of her.
“You, what is your name?”
“It’s Vivia.”
“Don’t you have anything to prove your identity?”
I don’t have anything like that, I thought, but before I knew it, a necklace with a ring on it was in my hand.
Giltoa took it and examined the crest engraved on the ring. Then, his eyes widened.
“…You are Tephana’s disciple?”
It seemed this person also knew my master. I wonder if Master is actually quite famous.
Giltoa returned the ring and came out from behind the counter.
“Come. I need to hear your story.”
Although I was already free from Giltoa’s grasp, his gaze, fixed on me, carried an undeniable air of intimidation. When I glanced back just in case, a large librarian was standing at the library entrance.
It doesn’t look like I can escape.
I quietly followed after him.

[YTYT]
Honestly, I’ve stopped caring about skill grinding lately. I’ve pretty much collected all the major ones and the ones related to my class. Now, I’m only interested in observing my faves and crafting things to offer them.
[Wick]
That’s what happens when your game motivation shifts to character love, huh. I didn’t find Chefs appealing at all when I started, but now I’m even envious of them.
[Alaska]
After crystal-type Items, food-type ones raise affection the most, right?
[Ma Yu]
I guess so. But there’s a strong theory that for date events, the calculation is separate. It became a topic once, how someone who just gave one crystal won the date rights over someone who gave an unpopular character their favorite food every day, right?
[Sasa]
In the end, it’s all about money.
[Makoto-chan]
It’s hilarious how Chefs are top tier specifically in this game, lol.
[YTYT]
If we’re talking about wealth ranking, yeah.
[Milan]
The economy is run by Chefs.
[Wick]
Well, there are also master merchants who manage the Chefs, though.
[Makoto-chan]
That one’s a King.
[Ma Yu]
More like a final boss than a King.
[Hitei Shinai Nao]
I got chills seeing multiple people filling up the World Market with nothing but Paradise Mint Tea.
[Milan]
Why? Does it sell for a high price?
[Takagi Tomo]
Hint: It’s the favorite food of a certain young lady.
[Milan]
Understood.
