Chapter 8: That’s Why You’re Useless
Today’s classes are math for first period, and practical skills training for second period.
Regarding math, it’s only about the level of arithmetic from my previous life, so there’s nothing new for me to learn. It’ll be free time, so I’ll use it to reconfirm my Stats and things like that.
Unlike a game, this world is real, so failure can sometimes lead directly to death, making caution all the more necessary.
Even though I was lucky enough to reincarnate as this game character, an ending like ‘I died because of a small mistake’ is something I absolutely want to avoid.
And I want to live in this world exactly as I please before I die.
Precisely because I think that way, I believe it’s necessary to firmly grasp what I can and cannot do.
Also, there’s simply the desire to see my own Stats, but considering how much I’ve been oppressed until now, this is probably an unavoidable feeling.
And while gazing at my Stats, letting my imagination run wild envisioning various scenarios, the first period class ended in the blink of an eye.
When the first period ends, the lunch break begins. Since there are no packed lunches, everyone heads to the cafeteria to eat, which is precisely why this lunch break was also an incredibly unpleasant time for me.
Everyone moving to the cafeteria to eat naturally means they will come to the cafeteria too.
“Oh, I wondered who it was, if it isn’t my failure of an Older Brother who’ll be shown the door by me tomorrow!!”
“………”
“Hey, you!! My future husband is going out of his way to speak to a dunce like you, and yet you don’t reply? What is the meaning of this?!”
And then, just as I deliberately erased my presence, quietly entered the cafeteria, and was looking over the numerous dishes laid out buffet-style, wondering what to eat today, I heard two voices I didn’t want to hear, making me feel utterly fed up.
However, based on my experience up until now, absolutely nothing good ever came from replying, so for the first time, I decided to ignore them.
Ignoring the two who spoke to me, my Younger brother Douglas and my fiancée Liliana, is something the me of the past probably wouldn’t have even dared to consider out of fear.
This is all because now I have power, and I know that no matter what they do to me, I won’t take any damage.
Just as I was thinking that, Liliana used Water Magic on me, seemingly dropping a Water Ball right on my head. Naturally, it soaked not just me, but the surrounding area as well.
What on earth is this woman thinking? No, conversely, it’s probably because she isn’t thinking at all that she can pull off something like this.
“Can’t you hear my words? That’s why you’re useless.”
