Yo, long time no see, it’s Harold.
A month has passed since Lucio’s attack and Florencia’s death. A whole month.
Since then, the Dehauvalz Kingdom and the Istania Kingdom have jointly launched an investigation into the suspicious man named “Mostro Monos” that Lucio mentioned, but we haven’t been able to find any leads.
Well, Lucio apparently was told by that man that “Ruin will come if you share the secret,” so even if there was someone who knew, there wouldn’t be anyone who would answer.
The sketch of the man we made based on Lucio’s story probably won’t be of any use either.
More than that.
“I’m probably the most useless of all, though.”
Why, you ask? It’s simple.
Because I’m currently locked up in a dimly lit prison.
“That’s strange… I was sleeping in my bed normally yesterday, so why am I waking up in a place like this?”
I put my hand on my chin and mutter calmly, but in my heart, I’m super anxious and panicking.
After all, I’m still in my pajamas, and I have a mysterious metal ring around my neck. And I can’t take it off.
Besides, I think it’s impossible to kidnap me while evading Monica’s surveillance… wait.
“Whoa!?”
Suddenly, my chest starts rustling, and I can’t help but raise my voice.
W-w-what is it!? Did a rat get into my clothes or something!?
I hurriedly take off my jacket and see.

“Caz!”
The one rummaging around in my chest was Caz, rubbing her sleepy eyes. Moreover, she’s shrunk to the size of a smartphone.

“Thanks to my partner being here, it looks like I can escape from here.”
“Escape? …Wait, we’re locked up!?”
She seems to have finally understood the situation after hearing my words. I’m glad she woke up.
“Yeah. I was here when I woke up too. In other words, someone kidnapped us and brought us here.”

Caz stares at the thick iron door, speechless.
But on the contrary, I was relieved from the bottom of my heart that Caz was here.
Because.
“I don’t know who’s behind this, but let’s get out of here quickly. So Caz, transform into the Calamity Beast Caspary right away.”
If Caz transforms into her original form, it’s easy to destroy a prison like this. Of course, there’s no problem escaping either.

I quickly hide Caz in my chest and stare intently at the slowly opening door.
Then, what appeared was… what? Judging from his appearance, he’s closer to a thug than a soldier. A post-apocalyptic, hyahha-type.
“Heh heh heh, too bad for you. Your friends sold you to a place like this.”
“Sold…?”
“What, don’t you remember…? Oh, that’s right.”
The hyahha-type man scratches his head at my questioning look.
He looks like a small fry mob that would be defeated in the early stages, but why does he seem so friendly?
“Alright, I’ll tell you. While you were unconscious, your friends sold you. To this, ‘Colosseum’.”
“Colosseum!?”
I couldn’t help but raise my voice at the word that came out of the hyahha-type man’s mouth.
The Colosseum is a stage for players to fight each other that appears in “Engage Hazard.”
The protagonist and three heroines are placed, and the battle ends when one of them is annihilated.
In the Colosseum, rankings are set according to the number of battles won and the win rate, and players who achieve top results in the rankings that are tallied every week can obtain rewards such as weapon cards, items, and gacha tickets.
I mean, why am I in such a place? And what do you mean by being sold by my friends?
“S-so… who exactly are my friends…?”
“Sorry, but I can’t answer that. But… I’ll tell you that it was a woman.”
“A woman…”
No, it’s impossible to identify the culprit with just that information.
Besides, I can’t think of a single woman who would sell me off to a place like this.
“Well, do your best not to die. And… it’s useless to even think about escaping. As long as you have this.”
The hyahha-type man points to his neck, grins, and leaves the prison.
