The match between Despina and the mysterious Demon Beast began.
“I… I’ll… kill…”
“………………….”
The opponent… the mysterious Demon Beast provokes with broken words, but Despina stares at the Demon Beast in silence.
“Even so…”
The size of the Demon Beast is easily over two meters, and could even be three meters.
The weapon in its hand is a giant War Hammer that humans could never handle, and even swinging it would be difficult.
And yet.
“Gufu… gufufu… They said I can eat you if I kill you. I’m looking forward to it.”
That Demon Beast swings the War Hammer effortlessly, slowly approaching Despina step by step.
And the words of the Demon Beast… it must see Despina as nothing more than food.
“Just hurry up and come at me. Your breath stinks.”
“Gufu… you, you made fun of me. The one who makes fun is stupid.”
I see, that Demon Beast’s intelligence is about that of a kindergartener. Considering that event bosses and raid bosses are on par with the players and heroines, that Demon Beast must be a Mob enemy.
Then, there’s no way Despina, an event boss, could lose… or so I thought.
“!?”
“I told you to be quiet.”
Despina slashed the Demon Beast’s face with speed that the eye could not follow.
It seems it’s not human, as it bleeds purple blood instead of red.
“Next is your head.”
Kicking off the ground, Despina jumps at the Demon Beast…!
“Gufu.”
“!?!”
As if waiting for it, the Demon Beast swings down its War Hammer at Despina.
She barely managed to dodge it, but even she seemed to be taken by surprise, and instead of counterattacking as usual, she could only create distance.
“Caz, do you know what that Demon Beast is?”
“Hmm… sorry, I’ve never seen Mana like that before, so I don’t know.”
“I see.”
A Demon Beast that even Caz can’t identify.
Judging from its size and brute strength, it seems like some kind of Orc, but I can’t tell anything from its appearance because its whole body is covered in armor.
However, it seems I should consider the possibility of Despina losing if things continue like this.
Haha… I wonder if I can withstand an attack of that power head-on without the Jet-Black Shield Caspary. I’m not so sure.
Well, even so, it’s easier to deal with than Despina, though.
“Gufu, gufu. You’re small and weak. You’re no match for me.”
“…You think so?”
The Demon Beast raises its War Hammer and laughs vulgarly.
Despina readies her twin swords, but she seems to be gradually backing away due to the Demon Beast’s pressure.
Despina is definitely faster.
But the Demon Beast can keep up with her movements. If she makes a careless move, she’ll be a target for the War Hammer.
So, what will she do?
“Gufufufufufufufufufufufufufufufufufッッッ!”
“!?!”
As if the observation period was over, the Demon Beast charges.
Despina takes distance with quick movements, but the Demon Beast tenaciously chases after her, albeit slowly.
Moreover, that movement… is it trying to lure Despina?
As proof, I can see that she is gradually being cornered against the wall.
“Gufu, you can’t escape anymore.”
“…It seems so.”
Finally with her back to the wall, Despina stares at the Demon Beast.
Now that the distance has been closed, it will be difficult to make use of her prized speed.
On the other hand, although I can’t see his expression because of his helmet, the Demon Beast is undoubtedly reveling in pleasure. That vulgar laughter is unbearably annoying.
“Hal, are you perhaps cheering for that woman?”
“Huh?”
Caz asked me such a question, and I couldn’t help but let out a dumbfounded voice.
Come to think of it, I’ve become more inclined towards Despina’s side.
“…Well, as far as I’m concerned, I’d prefer the one who’s easier to defend against to win.”
“I see.”
That’s what I answered, but I know that the Demon Beast is easier to fight.
For me, Despina’s speed is extremely troublesome.
So this development is convenient for me…
And yet.
“What’s wrong, Despina! Are you going to end it here!”
Before I knew it, I stood up and shouted loudly.
To survive here, it would be a wiser choice not to fight Despina.
But… if I’m going to fight anyway, I want to fight the boss from “Engage Hazard” that I loved in my previous life.
I can’t allow an event boss from “EnHaza” to be defeated by some Demon Beast whose origins are unknown.
“Yeah, yeah! We’re betting on you!”
“That’s right! Beat him easily like you always do!”
Starting with my encouragement, the audience sends cheers one after another.
It’s like sending salt to the enemy, but still, I want her to win.
Then.
“Hmph… you’ve got a pointッッッ!”
“!?!”
Despina snorted, and in the next moment, she ran up to the Demon Beast’s shoulder and thrust her sword into the Gap in its armor.
