Hello, Harold here.
Today, caught up once again in the conflict (?) between Sandra-tachi and Despina, who newly joined our class, I fled the classroom, only to have the bad luck of bumping into a large man walking down the corridor.
This giant of a man easily looked over 190 centimeters tall, his uniform straining against his brawny physique. He had short black hair with a braid down the back—a rather eccentric appearance.
Yes… the moment I saw him, I instantly understood that this large man was going to be extremely troublesome.
However, I’d never seen a man like this in EnHaza or Galhaza. That suggests he might be from EnHaza Second, but unfortunately, Themis isn’t here, so I can’t be sure.
Well, I guess I’ll check when I get back to the Dormitory.
“What are you muttering about! Do you truly intend to mock me further!”
“N-No, no, not at all. By the way… which ‘Your Majesty’ might Your Majesty be?”
I wanted to leave immediately, but I had a feeling that would just get me tangled up with him even more, so I bowed politely and humbly asked.
He might just be a Mob character whose name appears briefly, so I should check just in case.
However, that was a mistake.
“Y… Y… Youuuuuuuuuuu! To insult me not once, but twice!”
“Woah!?”
He grabbed me forcefully by the collar, lifting my body effortlessly.
Unfortunately, my social etiquette skills didn’t seem to work on this man. What on earth did I do wrong?
“E-Excuse me, it’s getting hard to breathe.”
“Silence! Very well, then I shall enlighten you! My name is Kou Genshou! I am the Crown Prince of the great eastern Tsai Empire!”
I see, so this man is a prince of the Tsai Empire. He doesn’t look like Royalty at all; calling him a bandit would feel more fitting.
Still, what should I do…?
As I pondered this.
“!? Y-Your Highness, please stop!”
A clear, dignified voice came from behind the man called Genshou.
Twisting my body to peek behind him, I saw a beautiful Female Student with long hair, braided and appearing lavender in the light’s reflection, and matching lavender eyes.
I don’t know this man, but I know her.
One of the heroines appearing in “Engage Hazard,” Lin Shukei. She’s the daughter of a general from the great eastern nation. The setting was that, grieving the loss of her lord, she came to study abroad at the Royal Academy at her father General Lin’s recommendation, partly for recuperation.
“Hm! Shukei, why do you stop me! This man showed disrespect towards me, the Crown Prince…”
“Your Highness is also being disrespectful! This person is a prince of this country, Prince Harold!”
“What did you say!?”
At Shukei’s words, Genshou’s grip on my collar loosened.
I took the chance to pull away and put some distance between us.
“Is what she says true!?”
“Yes. My name is Harold Wel Dehвальз. I am the Third Prince of the Dehвальз Kingdom.”
I introduced myself while rubbing my neck.
And what do you know? Genshou’s face silently screamed, ‘I’ve really done it now.’ It seems he has at least some sense of propriety.
“Nnuooooooooooooooh! Th-This was most discourteous! I never imagined you were of equal rank to myself! Please forgive me!”
“!?”
Suddenly kneeling with great force, Genshou then prostrated himself, rubbing his forehead against the floor in a Dogeza.
Setting aside the fact that I was reincarnated into the world of “EnHaza,” for a world based on medieval Europe, I wonder why the rate of characters performing Dogeza is so abnormally high.
“I-I don’t mind. More importantly, I should probably get going…”
“There you are! Lord Hal!”
“!?”
Wanting to leave this place quickly, I tried to make a plausible excuse, but unfortunately, Sandra-tachi, who had rushed out of the classroom, found me.
I tried to escape because I didn’t want to get caught up in their fight, but now it’s all ruined.
“Lord Hal, please refrain from disappearing on your own. …Though, I understand very well not wanting to breathe the same air as this barbaric country bumpkin.”
“Huh? I mean, Harold’s kinda pitiful too, isn’t he? Having such an overly attached woman as a wife. I-If it were me, I wouldn’t be so clingy, I’d be much gentler.”
“!? Heh… hehe… uhuhuhuhu… To say such things, there’s a limit to how shameless one can be, isn’t there?”
Unfortunately, these two show absolutely no sign of making up.
Glancing behind them, I saw Monica clutching her stomach, laughing. Hey, try to stop them a little.
“Uhuhu, Miss Despina certainly has a point. It truly wouldn’t do for just one person to monopolize such a wonderful gentleman.”
“Wh-What are you saying!? O-Of course, Hal is Royalty, so he doesn’t need to limit himself to just one person, but…”
“Th-That’s right! I wonder if it’s appropriate to trouble Lord Hal so much! …Though I wouldn’t be unwilling myself.”
To make things more complicated, Christia, Lize, and Carla started saying incomprehensible things too.
This makes it seem like I’m some kind of harem protagonist. Unfortunately, in my previous life, monogamy was the norm, so that kind of thing is fine just in fantasy.
Ignoring Sandra-tachi, who had started fighting again, I tried to erase my presence and leave the scene.
“…This is a token of my apology. Please accept it.”
“Eh…?”
What Genshou offered me was a single thin book.
In other words, the same kind of item I hide under my bed or behind the bookshelf in the Dormitory.
I don’t know why this man handed such a thing to me.
But… I felt like he and I could get along.
