Weak Skill Duplicator – Chapter 15

I had the Archdemon’s Magic Stone, and I was going to go back to the Guild to have it exchanged for money.

“This is a Demon subjugation Magic Stone.”

The usual receptionist wasn’t there; it was someone else.

“Yeah, yeah. A Demon’s Magic Stone, right?”

Their unmotivated response slightly irritated me. It’s your job, after all…

“Ah, and also, an Archdemon appeared, so I subjugated it as well.”

“Huh? What are you talking about? There’s no way you could defeat an Archdemon.”

“No, it was quite a struggle, but I somehow managed to defeat it.”

When I showed them the Magic Stone, the Guild staff member said, irritated,

“Haa… You must have bought it somewhere. I’ll deduct points for making a false report. And this Magic Stone is confiscated.”

If a monster of a higher rank than expected appears, adventurers are obligated to report it to the Guild. There are three main patterns for how monsters appear:

A pattern where they are naturally born when magic power and the environment combine well.

A pattern where monsters reproduce and give birth.

A pattern where they are created by a higher being (like a Demon Lord) by imbuing them with magic power.

In any case, when a monster that isn’t in the information appears, or when it appears where it wasn’t thought to, it’s highly likely to be evidence of a change in the environment of that land or the visit of a powerful monster.

That’s why it’s necessary to investigate any land where there are anomalies.

However, this Guild staff member, because they think Cain couldn’t have defeated it, assumes I’m lying and doesn’t try to investigate.

If you don’t believe me, that’s fine.

But, they’ll learn later who will suffer the consequences.

I silently accepted the reduced reward and left the Guild.

Even so, is there no one decent at this Guild besides Eclair-san?

While returning to the Inn, feeling angry, I saw the faces of my family, whom I hadn’t wanted to see for a long time. Even though we just passed each other, they clicked their tongues.

“Why is that skill-less trash still here?”

“It’s strange, I thought he would have died somewhere by now.”

I won’t forget those guys as they passed by saying such things.
