Next week is my first midterm exam since entering Eldina Academy.
The exam subjects are the same five as the entrance exam, plus an elective.
In my case, it’s Theology.
Remembering the origins of gods and which regional deities are which is a pain.
Reluctantly, I pick up the textbook and start reading.
※It won’t hinder your understanding if you don’t read this. However, it contains elements that will connect to future developments, so if you’d like to predict what’s coming, please give it a read.
~In this world, a pyramid of living beings exists with the gods at its apex. At the top are the omnipotent gods, followed by the demigods known as the Four Divine Beasts, and below them are those who have surpassed human limits, such as Transcendents. And in the fourth position from the top are we, humanity, who have received the blessing of Skills from the gods. Monsters are foolish beings who rebel against the gods and are at the bottom of the living pyramid.
We have a duty to eradicate these ugly creatures and repay the gods who have granted us Skills…~
I read for a solid hour. It’s stuff I should have learned in Theology class, but for some reason, it feels like the first time I’ve seen it.
Well, I was just half-listening, but…
Anyway, I’ve read it, so next, I’ll take summary notes…

……
A week has passed. I was first in the entrance exam, so I thought I’d be fine, and I kept putting off studying, but when I actually took the test, it was terrible.
I’m done for. Completely hopeless.
I thought I could cram the day before, but I was too naive.
I’m definitely going to have to retake it…
But right now, I’m an academy student who’s finished the test.
Let’s have some fun today.
So, I invited Einima, Erna, and Gald. It was the first time they all met, so when I first gathered them, they looked at me like, “Who are these guys?”…
Well, Gald was the only one who said, “It’s impossible for me to be in this group!”…
“So, where should we go?”
“Crepe shop.”
“What is that? It’s a food I’ve never heard of…”
“Delicious. You must eat.”
“…Going to a crepe shop is fine, but I think that’s a bit lacking.”
“Then, I’d like to go to something called a Cat Cafe.”
Erna came up with a good idea.
“Let’s do that! We can get crepes on the way back.”
“Ah! But, does anyone have a cat allergy?”
“I don’t.”
“Me neither.”
“…I’m fine too.”
“I’m fine as well, so let’s go to the Cat Cafe!”
And so, we came to the Cat Cafe.
Cats everywhere, cats, cats, cats.
Erna is holding one with heart eyes.
Einima still has a glare, but she’s rubbing her cheek against one. But it looks like the cat is a little annoyed…
Gald was just normally petting them, they were normally purring, and he was normally adoring them.
We enjoyed it for two hours with our drinks, and before we knew it, it was evening.
“Ah~ that was fun. I want to touch the cats again.”
“Cat Cafe, good. I will own cat in future.”
“I liked it too. Should I ask my father when I return home…? Just kidding.”
“For me too, those guys were the most healing thing today.”
I’m glad everyone enjoyed it.
“Well, we’re going different ways from here, so bye-bye.”
After parting with Erna and Einima, I remembered.
Ah! I forgot to eat crepes.
We ended up going to eat crepes together another day…
I’m wondering if I should change the title to “9999 Weakest Skills.”
Doesn’t the current title feel unnecessarily long?
I have deleted episodes 56-61.
You can enjoy the story from episode 62 onwards.
If you want to read the deleted parts, they are posted separately, so please read them there.
