Chapter 46: Instruction Manual vol.9.0②
☆Tri-Head Dragon☆
A special variant that was defeated by Ashley Noble, one of the three Holy Knights of the Arcana Kingdom. At that time, Ashley was not yet a Holy Knight and had ventured out to slay the beast alongside the previous Holy Knight. Although they managed to defeat it, a deep scar remained in Ashley’s heart, becoming a symbolic representation of her fears in her subconscious.
☆Liquid Dragon☆
The Sealed Labyrinth peers into the human heart, creating monstrous beings based on their fears. This dragon was born from the fundamental fears of Holy Knight Ashley as she stepped into the Sealed Labyrinth. However, during this time, an extended rainy season caused widespread flooding and crop failures, amplifying the fears of the people and transforming it into a troublesome liquid creature.
☆Four-Headed Liquid Dragon☆
An evolved form of the already troublesome Tri-Head Dragon. It is incredibly powerful. The combined beams emitted from each of its four heads are devastating. They completely obliterated the two defensive barriers summoned by Pulmy-san and, with the remaining force, annihilated most of the team members positioned behind.
☆Dragon’s Dogma☆
The name of the beam emitted by the Liquid Dragon. It is unmistakably a Gero Beam.
☆Gero Beam☆
A derogatory term for beams or lasers emitted from the mouth, likening them to vomit.
☆Earth Impact☆
A colossal cone created by the Liquid Dragon using its extraordinary earth magic, launched like a missile. Its hardness was such that Pulmy had to expend a synthetic Demon Sword to counter it. Without her, it is believed that a single strike could have wiped out all Seekers present.
☆“Did we do it?”☆
During the battle against the Liquid Dragon, the phrase “Did we do it?” bloomed beautifully. However, it seems they had not succeeded at all.
☆Rice Carry☆
A term used when carrying a woman in a manner similar to shouldering a rice bale.
☆Toguro Brothers☆
B-class yokai.
☆Toguro Carry☆
A muscular younger brother who adores his frail, small (perhaps?) older brother, carrying him on his shoulders. There remains a slight doubt as to whether this can truly be called carrying.
☆Anon☆
Incredibly capable and competent. Not only does he possess remarkable memory, knowledge, and wisdom, but he also has considerable combat strength, as briefly mentioned in the story. He sees Ichiro as his ideal. When he heard through others that “Ichiro relies on Anon,” he couldn’t suppress a goofy smile.
☆Orphelia Verite☆
This time, she played a significant role. Before long, she found herself in the position of Ichiro’s second disciple. However, just because she is a disciple doesn’t mean she behaves humbly towards her master… (Refer to the story of Sword Dance.)
☆Twin Swords Yin-Yang☆
Details unknown.
☆Paladin’s Dust☆
The name of the team that Ichiro created. The members include Ichiro, Pulmy, Orphelia, and Angelica. They all exuded an atmosphere of “Wow,” “That’s so lame,” and “What is that?” but in reality, Pulmy was quite fond of it. “Being on a team with Ichiro-kun…”
☆Resurrection Orb☆
As Sensei predicted, it was a dangerous item. It reveals its true form by consuming despair towards death and death itself.
☆Dead Release Dead☆
The monster that was supposed to be released after the four uses of the Resurrection Orb had been exhausted. Its true identity is a black beast resembling a wolf, with multiple arms, capable of unleashing every conceivable form of death—suffocation, drowning, burning, trampling, bleeding out, poisoning, disease, starvation, and more. However, it was consumed by the Sealed Labyrinth, preventing its manifestation, and with the demise of its master, Ainika, the One Who Loathes All Life, it too vanished.
☆Ainika, the One Who Loathes All Life☆
A monster of a different caliber than the seven bosses Ichiro has previously defeated in the Newly Constructed Ultimate Labyrinth. It swiftly discerned the weaknesses of Mika, Angelica, and Eris, and acted accordingly, showcasing both wisdom and the cowardice of choosing a siege strategy against Yamada in their final battle.
The name Ainika is derived from the initials of the words etched into its soul—”All I Need Is Kill All of you.”
Though it powered up through patchwork along the way, it seemed to lose its will to fight after being overwhelmed by Yamada’s desperate moves, reminiscent of a certain fighting game’s super moves, as well as techniques like Heavenly Lotus and the Kinniku Driver. This indicates that it was, in fact, a cowardly minor foe.
Nonetheless, it was still a formidable enemy, and had Yamada been defeated, it is certain that Sena and Sensei would have avenged him, but due to certain circumstances, the world might have faced destruction.
☆Holy Sword☆
Its name is Guardian Sword Rifire. Created by a former Hero, it was named based on its meaning of protecting someone and the word “Amplify.”
As an inanimate object, a Holy Sword cannot possess emotions. In the first place, the Holy Sword is not an Intelligent Weapon imbued with intelligence and thought. Yet, it is strange to think that a Holy Sword could take a liking to its wielder.
One might not find it odd to think this way. However, this is a different world, filled with magic and skills, where strange occurrences abound.
In fact, it’s not even necessary to be in a different world; even in modern Japan, there are legends of tsukumogami.
The belief is that objects used with love for a long time can develop a heart, becoming a kind of supernatural existence akin to a deity.
No matter how much one debates this, it remains mere speculation. Yet, there is one undeniable truth.
The Holy Sword—Guardian Sword Rifire—has always protected its next wielder, Eris, the Holy Knight.
In response to the Holy Knight’s call, it saved Eris from the deadly blade of No-Skill.
And it heeded Eris’s heartfelt cry, rescuing her soul.
All these events are indeed facts.
